"He's found himself a bell tower and often sits up there watching the stars waiting for Polaris to come back." Snowball answered, "If I'm not around him he gets distracted."
Of course Snowball was answering for Niflhel as he began to groom himself. Tail flickering a little as he did.Niflhel paused as Snowball answered, "Yeah sorta that. . . " He shrugged softly, "I do other things too and occasionally look to see who I can find and let them know they're not alone. It's difficult though, I'm sure you know how it can be."
He paused when she said it's pretty nice. "Sounds like fun." Though he didn't continue the talk of the apartment life with Zia his attention was caught when she stalked talking about knights and dark mirrors.
"OH? Forty something, and the negaverse? That must be an expansive database." He paused thinking about the dark mirror souls. He felt odd bringing that up since she was a Parallel cat and he knew that her and Sailor Selena were often Mirror walkers. "The hollow shell of Dark Mirrors?"
His brows knitted, "How are they Hollow? They're not obviously you but. . . I thought Ares. . . " He stopped looking at her almost confused when she said then a little something.

Zia flinched a bit, but grinned teasingly up at Niflhel. "Too much dilly dallying?"
His confusion brought a smugness to her face and she powered up to extract one of the DMS starseeds she had been gifted out of subspace, holding it out for him to see. It did not glow like a regular starseed, and instead appeared to e made out of several tiny mirrors.
"Their souls do not appear to glow with life," She announced, and then resonated with the mirrored surface, making it ripple and wail in agony. "I would almost gather they're on par with youma, with better carapaces, of course. White Moon senshi corpses make pretty outsides."

Niflhel nodded, "Aye, too much Dilly Dallying indeed." He sighed softly looked a little saddened. "I wish she could come home soon though, it's kind of lonely without anyone but me, Merlin and snowball." While snowball was a talking cat it wasn't quit the same as having people around.
He paused as she powered up and pulled out a starseed. He looked at it and then reached out as if to try and touch it, though gingerly. "This is strange. . . So she kills them to bring to life something. . . that's not?" he frowned as he continued to look at the seeds. "It's troublesome for sure. You'd think, as they act they're much like us, but without a light, a life? They're like fragments of their former selves?"
He was looking at Zia, "Can they be fixed?" He asked still perplexed.Snowball's tail twitched as Zia and Niflhel talked, fairly content in listening and grooming himself until she pulled out a starseed like he'd never seen, well he'd never really been near one that was pulled out anyways. "Why . . . would anyone want to make themselves like a youma?"
"It's a pretty starseed though, shame there's no life."

Zia dropped her hand and raised on eyebrow in a look of harsh judgement once the words 'bring them to life' escaped Niflhel's mouth.
"No, there's no glow of life. At all," She said, waving the starseed around. Ares doesn't have the power to sustain whole, unbroken souls, I guess." She paused and recalled her conversation with Europa about death meaning inert, and Angel, who had a much better definition.
"I guess it depends on how you reconcile death and soulessness. I met a girl. She had an interesting perception of the concept of youma. That they were ghosts left behind once the starseed was destroyed..."
She spun the starseed in her fingers before banishing it to subspace. "Dark Mirror Senshi might only be a broken illusion of life in the reanimated body of a dead senshi."
His question about fixing them was met with a less than positive and very flippant shrug.

Niflhel paused, "That is a very interesting theory. It's also a shame for anyone to be doomed to such a fate as living like a ghost once their starseed is out."
He nodded when she gave a flippant shrug, it seemed there may not be a way to save them after all. It was a little disappointing. "Sounds like to save them you have to raise Lazarus from the dead." Of course his planet was Saturn but that didn't make it any less grim.Snowball sat there listening and waiting for someone to say it, and it never came. However the cat couldn't help himself as he spoke, "This sounds very much like Zombies and the undead not a ghost. Ghost are intangible. Ares, whoever she is or whatever force this is that she uses, is creating a Zombie Apocalypse. . ."
"It's unsettling." He added. Looking at Zia and then to Niflhel, "Maybe. . . there should be studies done to see if we can save them? Or. . . what are you going to do with it Zia?"Carneli do you want to finish this one? Could always have it with her inviting herself to Niflhel's for something to eat / or whatever if you want. owo
