"Mm?" She murmured around the nail, glancing up at Paige and then guiltily stopping. s**t... her manicure.
Zeke got a more scrutinizing glance as soon as she realized he was chummy with Paige, but nothing too obviously bitchy. Her eyes inevitably dropped back to the file.

The arm slung over his shoulder would be countered by a very light hand touch at the small of Paige's back. "Mid ranged chain axes, with an elemental charge," he clarified, smiling. "And what she fails to mention, is the oversized proportions of her morning star." That seemed worth mentioning.
Cee, as her attention shifted his was, was greeted with a charming grin.

"Cee," Evan greeted with as much of a grin as he could muster, looking between her and Paige with a raised eyebrow. Here to work, huh? He nodded at the last trainee when he showed up, then turned to trail after America as she headed towards the lighthouse.
It was difficult to take America seriously as a leader, adorable as she was, but he was relieved, too; he could back her up as needed and still be free to tear s**t up as the situation called for it. Though he was confident that five people would be sufficient to fulfill their mission parameters, he didn't really want to babysit the boots. America was much better with people than Evan was, and between their combined experience and expertise, they might even bring everyone back.
Quietly hoping they wouldn't need anyone with a longer range, America laid out a few important tips about dealing with the Sahara. "Outside of your weapon and each other, our phones and pendants are the main priority to keep with you at all times. If you haven't had to use a pendant before, you just hold it and say Deus Ex Machina, ******** will pop you right in front of the infirmary. It'll let you carry one other person with you, but it won't do s**t if you're," she held up a hand and ticked off fingers, "...moving, don't have cell reception, or cockblocked by some oogey ******** bug monster forcefield."
They reached the base, consisting of a shared sleep tent, a supply tent, and the latrine. Turning to them with a smile, she raised her eyebrows, "I'm gonna run a quick patrol while y'all settle, so who wants to come with? 'Cause going alone anywhere while we're here is stupid as ******** class="quote">
who wanna come and beat a pinata
31 - 60: Horsemen appear and attack your camp or patrol group. ((These can be either player character horseman you invite to battle (which will make your base RP points PVP points and worth 2 instead of 1 rp point) or you can battle against an automob who you will be able to possibly capture.)) Horseman AutoMob (clan/appearance/name are your choice, though do follow the horseman guidelines for such) HP: 60 Auto Damage: 5 Special: Should you bring their HP to either 0 exactly or 1, then you may viably capture them and bring them back to Deus. (Bonus Pay: $3000) otherwise they simply escape or dissipate.
No sooner had Evan opened his mouth to volunteer his services than the party came directly to them in the form of the very thing he had come out here to kill. What a good lesson this was going to be for the boots.
His smile was sharp and his eyes were bright as he summoned his weapon. Fighting in this space was awkward with everyone's gear over there, but Evan's initial slash was only meant to get its attention anyway. He didn't want it eating the trainees, after all.
Harle was summoned as soon as the horsemen hit, and Paige entered serious mode. This was work, not play. The deadly head of the morning star screeched through the air as Paige swung the weapon in a wide arc.
Harle was vivid reds and yellows dappled with orange. The colors shifted, intensified and burst into prismatic hues as Paige successfully landed her attack.
"Jesus ********," Cee summoned Snap instinctively as soon as the others did, "they musta been campin us out."
The hesitation and reluctance seemed to leave the tiny woman as a real live enemy appeared. It wasn't some hunter experiment gone wrong and it wasn't a dream construct. This was something she could hurt.
Cee was grinning and invigorated.
She followed up Pagie's wide swing, darting in after to lash the horseman with her whips. She got it's arms, holding and cutting in, "I got em still!" She even took a hit, barely registering it, as she attempted to keep it still for the others to attack.
With a wry smile, America moved in to attack instead of defend, calling back to Zeke, "Fall back and protect our gear!" They were five on one, and it didn't look like the newbies needed their shields babysat just yet. Stryker flew in a golden arc of runes and wings, smashing into the attacker. They likely had been camped out and possibly not alone, either.

Edited this so he'd have a reason to not be attacking right then
Cee only managed to hold the horsemen until America hit it. The force wrenched the enemy free from her whips bind (though not without those blades cutting in again). It's retaliation sent her skidding back and she dropped behind the others now to catch a breath and let them heavy-hit.
Passing by Cee as she closed in to take the woman's place, to bind the horseman's skeletal arms with gleaming chains, America offered a brief nod, "Good work."
Tightening that hold painfully as its ragged blade hooked into her side, America called out, "Try not to dissipate this ********, we can get a bonus for capture!"
<******** that, Evan thought to himself as he lashed out the Horseman, grimacing as it hit him back. Knowing it's dead is bonus enough for us. Still, America was the leader of their little band, and he while he would try to do as she asked--for her sake rather than his--he wasn't going to make her any promises.
Cee's whips tripped up the figure and as they began to fall, America took advantage, looping her chain around it's neck in a tight, choking hold. "Okay," she called out, "...just give it a little tap."
