Blue eyes went wide at Otto's admission that he knew she had nightmares. Color flooded her face with mortification. "Oh my God, Otto, why didn't you tell me?! I would have...slept on the couch or something instead. I knew they were intense because I'd always wake up aching just a bit in my legs and chest but I didn't know I was bothering you!" Why it was such a big deal that she was bothering her bed mate she couldn't say.
His tug distracted and calmed her somewhat, nose wrinkling. "I thought this was the magic fix." Her skin rubbed against his as Cami deliberately shifted her body. "Apparently there's magic there, but not enough. I feel a bit like a child who's just found out Santa Claus isn't real." Sad, but true. Cami thought that sex would solve just about everything and what it didn't solve, it would dramatically improve.
Apparently, it could not.

"Sorry. I should have said something... bad dreams are so common.. I just didn't think bringing it up was uh... tactful." What was he supposed to do for her? He couldn't even cure his own mind. How could he possibly help her? All he could do was be there.
"You never bother me." He assured her softly.
Magic was real. It existed, and there had to be a way to heal wounds of the psyche, just like there existed means of healing cuts and broken bones. "I'm sure there's a way. Sex is a bandaid, Cami. It feels good, but it won't fix anything.."
