"I played some football back in college. Actually got a scholarship to play football. I guess you could say I love sports. Football, mostly. You like sports, little-bit? You raised on a farm? That's pretty cool. Yeah, I was real good back in the day. s**t started slippin', though. Started seein' spookies n' s**t. Freaked me out. So I joined the Army instead."

He grinned down at her.

"I love my sister. She's just a pain in the a** sometimes, is all. Kinna like Evan. He's like a brother to me, but he's a pain in the a** too."

Tuck grinned at Noemi, the smile only growing larger and brighter when she lifted her arm to flex it. Christ, she was cute, the kind of cute that made him want to put her in a bubble so that nothing about her ever changed - but he was incapable of stopping the inevitable, and Tuck knew it. He'd just have to do his very best to look after her.

"Evan's my best friend. Like my brother, yeah. I love him," Tuck shrugged, shifting the papers in his hands. "Don't be jealous, though, 'cause he's a real a*****e sometimes, no ********' joke." Despite the words he spoke, Tuck sounded fond.

"If you sure you can carry 'em I can pass 'em over to you, Noemi, but it ain't no bother to put 'em where they need to go."
