Needless to say, Corvus was very, very amused. "Yes, yes he did," he confirmed. "Now, how about we go inside, ditch the armor, and go talk to Gizmo, since frankly he knows more about this stuff than I do. I know he doesn't look like what you're used to, but do remember not to shoot him on sight." With that, his Suit sprouted two large, black wings with metal "feathers", starting to fly back to his cabin.

Corvus couldn't help but chuckle slightly. "There's no need to be so formal, you know - I'm a pretty laid-back guy, I'm not going to get on your a** just because you're being a bit informal." Soon they reached the cabin, and Corvus retracted the "wings" and headed inside. "Activate secret entrance - access code Crow-F1, one visitor."
"Access confirmed. Welcome, Corvus and visitor." A portion of the floor retracted, revealing an opening with a pair of stairs down it; the opening was just a teensy bit too small for a Battlesuit. Corvus smirked slightly, glancing over at Melody. "Ladies first; like I said, I'll show you mine if you show me yours." Again, still referring to race, though she didn't need to know that.

Corvus grinned slightly. "Aha! I knew you were a looker," he quipped. Nevertheless, he got out, the front of his Suit shimmering away to let him through. He gave a small smirk, bowing with a playful flourish. "Well? Like what you see?" He was dressed in a plain black shirt and jeans made of an unknown, leathery material, his strange features easy to see: far too human to be Abyssian (there was no way to mistake one for human unless you were a blind idiot), and yet definitely not human enough for him to be homo sapiens.

"The answer to both your observations is really quite simple: I'm awesome like that," Corvus quipped, adding as he headed down, "Now remember, no shooting; the form Gizmo usually takes isn't as human-looking as I am." Once they were downstairs, they were blocked by a large metal door, and so Corvus cleared his throat and called out, "HEY, GIZMO! OPEN UP AND GET YOUR a** OVER HERE, WE'VE GOT A GUEST!"
His answer soon came in the form of the door sliding open to reveal a rather impressive-looking laboratory. In the middle of said lab was Gizmo in all his silver-colored glory, one hand giving Corvus the middle finger even as the other three continued work on some complicated contraption.

(Ouch. I've been there... well, not the accidentally-clicking-the-wrong-gender bit or the money problems bit, but I've been hacked before - this is my third account. How much do you need for a gender-bender potion? I've got plenty of gold, so it's no problem.)

Corvus rolled his eyes, faintly amused. "He is," he confirmed. "Giz, mind retracting the exoskeleton so Melody here doesn't feel a need to run screaming?"
Gizmo made a "one moment" gesture, finishing a few last adjustments and closing the hatch. His exoskeleton then seemed to ripple away as it retracted, revealing a pale-skinned boy with a pair of dark goggles on his forehead... well, if boys had four arms and dark-red, nearly-black compound eyes, anyway. He then turned, giving them his full attention. "See? I ain't Abyssian - too human-lookin' - so there's no need ta look like yer 'bout to shoot me full of holes. How much she know 'bout us, anyway, Crow? Can't be much if she's startled by somethin' as small as me." He directed the last comments to Corvus, folding his arms. His voice had a faint buzzing accent to it, but for the most part he actually sounded a lot like a stereotypical tough-guy.
Corvus shrugged. "She knows my real name, that we're against the Abyssians, and that we snagged some of their tech out from under their noses... the other stuff's not exactly relevant to the situation, so she didn't need to know it."
Gizmo nodded. "Lemme guess, you wan' me tah modify 'er 'Suit with some of the Evo-class tech? Fine, got nothin' better ta do. While yer 'ere, might as well show 'er 'round. If nothin' else, ya should prob'ly introduce 'er tah Hood so she don't get slaughtered on sight." He gave Melody a small smirk. "Welcome tah the Outcast HQ, girlie." With that, he pressed a few buttons on a nearby control panel, causing the Battlesuits they'd left upstairs to appear on a glowing circular pad behind him, and started making modifications to Melody's Battlesuit, muttering under his breath all the while.

(Well, I can give you some cash if you want. I literally have more of it than I know what to do with anyway. sweatdrop )
Gizmo rolled his eyes as his exoskeleton reformed over his body. "Yeah yeah, you'll get 'er back in one piece."
Corvus shook his head in amused exasperation at Gizmo's usual gruff demeanor, but nevertheless began leading Melody. "Yeah. Hood can be... a little bloodthirsty, to put it lightly. He's pretty much a walking, talking massacre waiting to happen. And yes, Outcast HQ. That's what we call ourselves, because that's what we are - outcasts." Of course, he didn't elaborate on why they were outcasts - he didn't trust her that much yet.

(Gotcha. I can do that easy.)

"Well, not a bad summary, but think less cheerful humor and more sadism, bloodlust, and general kill-'em-all mentality," Corvus answered, giving a small smirk as he added, "And not a bad guess; you're pretty smart. Technically, you're right, I suppose; we're defective from a normal Abyssian's point of view, at any rate. You'll probably figure it out once you meet Hood, though." Soon the advanced technology of the main lab gave way to a hallway, Corvus heading toward a metal door at the end with... were those bloodstains?
