Keionx had to sleep over in one of the intervening districts to escape the harsh light of day but, come sundown, she was stomping it back to the construction pits to make sure Ephias was protected from harm.
To her relief, no attacks had struck their teams main base, and in fact.
“Greetings!” she said, hailing the yellowblood as she returned, “Indeed, thou hast missed the glorious moments of the defense and salvaging of the grand Opera house and a small neighborhood!”
She noted the trollish defenders accompanying him. “Excellent! Thou hast brought reinforcements!” she said, cheerful, “We shall need them! Hast thou heard on the radio device? We have lost a base!” she stood straight and tall and struck a heroic pose. “We must reclaim it and take back the glory from our dastardly foes!”
Ah! Glub! She was forgetting her manners. Beastdad would not approve. She, perhaps a little hastily, offered her hand for the troll to shake. “I am Keionx Rutace, Knight in training! And thou art?”

Vitula stood in front of a very proud and glories troll, he could tell by the way this troll talked and stood with great heroism. Vitula listen to the troll as they said there name so proudly.
"My name is Vitula Picato" Vitula said standing tall to try and show as much respect to the troll. "As you can see I have brought reinforcements. They seem a bit lacking, but I can tell you I will have more for you by the end of the day. Now let us get down to business first. While I agree that we must reclaim it, we must think of the grand scheme of things. Should we possibly look for more enemy bases?" Vitula asked Keionx.

Keionx liked this troll. But then again, she liked most trolls. “I think they willst make for fine soldiers!” she reassured him, smiling, “Mine observation is that thou hast pickest...” Pickest?! What sort of word was that?! As usual, though, Keionx rolled with it. “In the meantime, forsooth, thy suggestion is noteworthy!” She squinted out into the distance, “Ah! There is a promising place!” she said, pointing to a very, very tall hill, “It has a base upon it, flying the empress' flag! We have the high ground! Tis' a sign of good hope!”
She turned back to Vitula and crossed her arms. “But yes!” she said, “We must find the bases of the enemy...”

While Vitula and Keionx scoped out their surroundings from the top of the scaffolding, Ephias checked in with the radio. It was not long before he got a response. Unfurling his map he laid it across a table. The voice on the radio gave a set of coordinates. Ephias repeated them, just to be sure, then placed a blue pin on the map.
“Th-there's another base just east of us,” he called to his companions. “One of ours. Should we need to make a retreat for some reason, we'll have a quick get-away.”
Alexin listened politely to the introductions, then proceeded to ignore the rest of the trolls completely for a while as an internal debate raged. On the one hand, they should blatantly be team leader because they were a blueblood and the rest were mere lowbloods. On the other hand, the other trolls looked a might....beefier, than themself. Alexin didn't really want to fight their allies, so they decided to roll with it in the end, helping out with construction (though mainly by shouting commands rather than actually doing any work) and listening to the radio chatter on different stations, hoping to glean some information - at least until opera was mentioned.
"You like opera?" Their voice was pretty high with suprise, but it was obvious a pleased reaction as a shy smile grew across Alexin's face. "I..perhaps I could lend you a few transcripts, if you promised to be careful with the pages. Great strories and epics are...an interest of mine."
It was then, of course, they realised they'd neglected to introduce themselves.
"My name is Alexin Flynnt. They and them pronouns today, please."
Vitula as well walked over and looked out into the distance to try and find a enemy base. Vitula being late to this was bad enough, he knew he wanted to make it up to his fellow trolls and the best way of doing so is to find a enemy base.
Vitula took his lusus Parrot Pop off of his horn and threw him up in to the air, where he began to flap his wings.
"Parrot Pop" Vitula spoke to his lusus. "I need you to fly around and try finding something that doesn't look like one of our flags."Vitula spoke loud to his lusus so it could hear him.
His lusus began to fly around the area looking for something that didnt belong to the loyalist. Once the aviation lusus had found something it began to circle the area.
Vitula looked in that direction and focused his eyes. It looked like a rebel base.
Vitula quickly turned to Keionx. "Keionx look what I have found!"

The hard-to-tell-genderwise Blueblood surprised Keionx.
She offered them a smile, rolling with their request for pronoun use as easily as when she chose to use a really odd, archaic and/or probably fake word.
“Indeed! Keionx Rutace, Knight-in-training.”she said, holding out her hand. The introductions were getting easier as she went along, and Knight-in-training was getting easier to say. “It is a pleasure to make thy aquaintence, Alexin Flynnt! Great stories and the epics of old are an interest of mine as well!”
That was saying it lightly.
“... I have never seen an opera for myself...” she admitted, a little embarrassed, “But I would like to, and so the Opera house must be preserved!”

Keionx had, in the intervening time between talking to Alexin and Vitula's birdy lusus's flight, been compiling materials and ordering around drones in a very knightly way, getting ready for the next big building project.
Hearing her name, she hopped over the mounting pile of construction materials and joined him. “What hast thou found?” she asked, squinting in the direction he was looking. “Thou ist pointing... there?” she frowned. She couldn't quite see it from where she was standing, “Is that a base? It is not marked as ours on our map...” she said, scrutinizing the portable holomap.
Suddenly, things clicked in Keionx's odd, perhaps slightly slow, head. “Aha!” she said, striking up a strong pose, “Tis a base for our enemy!” she turned to Vitula, “That was what thou wished to tell me?” she could hardly contain her excitement. If it was a rebel base, then they could take it and bring glory to the empress's name.
Mobilize! Sending: 7 Defenders to friendly base: Opera house.
Vitula looked back up to Keionx with a look of determination. There was no time to stop now, it was only time to act.
"A enemy base that we will need. I am going to send my defenders to this coordinate. The Old Hemisect Opera House, this was one of the most logical choices. With this move we can easily take a hold on the mall. From here the queen should be most pleased." Vitula said marking a map and looking at the other trolls in the room.
Vitula gave out the order to the defenders and had them march over to the Opera house. It was here they would await for the incoming attack.

”You mean... We destroy it?!” her accent and ridiculous speech dropped temporarily as she nearly squealed in delight. Keionx was a fighter and while all of this was perfectly fine and good, she had been itching to bring the good fight to the rebels. “Ah, I mean, I shall march with them and lead the way to victory!!” she corrected, getting into some military transport with her hammer and setting it to the rebel base's coordinates, “For the queen!” she shouted, “And away!”

... Keionx slammed her sledgehammer into the structure again. She could order around a defender or a drone, she could use machinery, she could do all of these things.
But no. She was a knight. She had to slay her enemy personally.
She moved back a few paces, imagining that the defense structure around the mall was a monster and she was riding a ferocious steed and not her own feet.
“Raaaah!” she cried over the radio, charging in to deal a heavy blow against the structure, ”Take that, thy fell beast!”

“Be careful!” Ephias called as Keionx charged off once more. While he wanted to have faith in her combat prowess this was no game. He and the others were still children. If they met with rebel forces, they could easily be overwhelmed. As Ephias fretted, he gnawed his lip. Wolly pressed up against his side anxiously. The troll immediately scooted away from the contact but he gave Wolly a grateful look. He understood the sentiment. “I guess I'd best keep busy until she gets back...”
His eyes went to the map. Keionx had seemed awfully interested in it. He supposed it would be best for team morale if they kept it. Hopefully she would not mind if he made a couple modifications...

After he had finished the re-construction on the Opera House, Ephias and the workers made their way back to camp. On his way, he called for more workers who had been waiting back at the Construction Pit to begin renovations on Swiftscale Hill. He could have sent the group that was with him of course, but they had just finished a job and it seemed unfair to send them out again. He certainly felt tired after all that work.
When they arrived back at camp, Ephias poked around for the others. He found Vitula and Alexin—he gave them both a hello—but Keionx was no where to be found. Ephias' brow knitted. That meant she was still working on demolition. He called her in over the radio. “H-Hi Keionx... I just wanted to check in and see if everything was go-going all right?”
It came as a relief to hear her voice. Without realising it, he had been expecting the worst. That was pretty typical for him though. He sat down at the table where he kept his map, and stared at the pins. “Hey, do you mind if I ask you a question?” He paused. It was something that had been eating away at him. He was afraid to ask though, for what it would sound like. “Why do you fight? For the empire I mean? I'm sure you s-saw those flyers...”

DAILY REFRESH!
It's a new day! The realities of the conflict are finally starting to sink in. Rebel attacks are becoming more severe. The Alternian Military now proudly lists a fair number of rebel casualties. Injured royalists and those willing to assist in the injuries from demolition and conflict in Old Hemisect are told to report to the Coastal Base immediately. Captain Puchen's offer has been taken back now that the rebels have a greater edge than the royal forces in the tide of battles. "Attention, all recruits," she barked over the radio. "Force is necessary to win this battle. If we cannot will them to our side, we will capture and punish them. Take them down."
Today's Happenstance: If a Royalist Team destroys a rebel base, they can quote a user whose rebel troll they have captured. The troll must make a post in the Royalist Team's thread and roll 2d6 to unlock a new coordinate. If they fail to find a new coordinate, they must roll 2d6, then 3d6, etc until they do so (accompanied by RP text). The first new coordinate rolled will be used (only 1 coordinate is to be unlocked through this effect). They cannot roll in their group thread until this is done. This can be used once per Royalist Team.
If a Rebel Team destroys a Royalist base, they can quote two trolls who have unlocked the coordinate that the destroyed base was on. These two must post once in the Coastal Base attending to their injuries and the injuries of others before they can roll again in their group thread. This effect can be used once per Rebel Team.
Each troll is refreshed and ready to go with 2 available actions.
You guys rule! Keep up the good work!
Refreshers: POSSIBLE ACTIONS ARE:
Build: Roll 1D6 to build on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the durability of the base. You can also build on friendly bases to add durability, up to a maximum of 30 durability. You cannot build on a coordinate that already has an enemy base on it. Trolls with training in Construction get a bonus to their roll: Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6
Rally: Roll 1D6 to organize defenders, which can be assigned to any coordinate you have unlocked. The roll result determines the amount of defenders you have rallied. Defenders will be on stand-by until you mobilize them. Defenders are the second level of defense that can be assigned to protect a base. You must use defenders to take out defenders if you want to demolish an enemy base! Trolls with training in Recruiting get a bonus to their roll: Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6 Demolish: Roll 1D6 to destroy a base on a coordinate that you have unlocked – the roll result determines the amount of damage done to the durability of the base. At 0 durability, the base is destroyed. You cannot demolish a base with defenders assigned to it. Trolls with training in Demolition get a bonus to their roll: Apprentice: Roll 2D6 Journeytroll: Roll 3D6 Master: Roll 4D6 Grandmaster: Roll 5D6
Intelligence: Roll a new coordinate (2D6). If you roll a coordinate you have already unlocked, the roll is wasted. Trolls with training in Intelligence get a bonus to their rolls: Apprentice: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6) Journeytroll: Roll 2 new coordinates (4D6); if at least 1 of the coordinates is not unique, re-roll 2D6 until a new coordinate has been unlocked. Master: Journeytroll effect OR select one new coordinate from another team and unlock it. You must post with roleplay in your own thread and the other team’s thread for this to take effect. Grandmaster: Journeytroll effect OR Master effect OR… Roll 1 coordinate (2D6). If your allies control the coordinate rolled: add 5 durability and 5 defenders to that coordinate (may surpass the maximum durability/defender limit by 5). If your opponents control the coordinate rolled: it loses 5 durability and 5 recruits (does not apply if the numbers would decrease past 0). You additionally unlock the coordinate.
Mobilize: Choose one of two options: 1. Send defenders from your stand-by or a friendly-base you control to any friendly-base on a coordinate that you have unlocked. 2. Assault an enemy-controlled coordinate that you have unlocked using defenders from a friendly base. Defenders must be deployed to a base before they can assault an enemy base and cannot attack directly from your standby.
POST IN THE WAR ROOM THREAD IF:
You build a new base on a coordinate You reinforce a friendly base You assign defenders to a base You assault a base You do damage to a base You destroy a base You use the Grandmaster Intelligence perk to affect a base
