Carna felt her tail connect, and she turned as her foe once more tried to use those talons -- she dodged, catching a scratch, and tried to grab those skinny legs of the bird, hoping to take her foe out of the sky and slam her to the ground. HP: 7

Shokoti felt a stab of panic as her legs were grabbed, causing her to lose her balance and crash to the ground, realizing as she tried to rise just how much this fight had taken out of her. She was starting to worry now that she might not walk away from this one; the possibility had always been there, but easy to dismiss until it was staring you in the face. With little else she could do, Shokoti pumped her legs hard, trying to both free them and use them to kick out at the arms holding them so tightly. HP: 3

Carna chuckled darkly as she yanked her foe down, one leg got free enough to claw her, so she just used her free hand to grab the other leg with both hands, and twisted, trying to break an ankle. HP: 5

Shokoti felt the angry twist of her foot and realized what the other was trying to do. She decided to roll in order to alleviate the twist, though it still gave her ankle a painful wrench, at least it didn't break. Seeing that the other now had both hands on one leg, she used her newly freed other leg to aim a kick at the other's head. HP: 2

Carna didn't want to let go of the leg even as the enemy rolled, and paid for it, getting slammed in the foot enough to make her stagger back. She panted, energy fading, and chuckled. "Pretty good fighter, bird," she says, before rushing in and trying to leap upon her foe and smack her head into the ground. HP: 2

The only saving grace about Shokoti's defeat was that it was sudden; the dashing of her head against the ground was violent enough for her entire world to explode with sparks of pain for a split second, and then darkness reached up and swallowed her in it's enormous maw. HP: 0 ((GREAT fight. 8D))
