"Martial artist, yes! Actor, no!" As requested, Antiope paused in the full form to repeat the requested kick. She kept both feet to the ground until she suddenly shifted her weight to one foot, lifting up her leg high and snapping at the knee for a clean kick at about chin level.
There was a good amount of control on Antiope's actions, for she held the leg in place so that Mintaka could come closer as she desired. Even in such an intense position, the darker haired of the pair was still able to explain.
"Northern Praying Mantis is more about striking pressure points... weak spots on your opponent."

"Oh? So not famous in the name for being an actor, but because you are a renowned martial artist?" That was a good dream! Mintaka had no idea of what she wanted, besides being the best and politest lady she could be. Sometimes she wondered if she should go into history since she loved finding out about past things as well as cultures but...she was only 17 and soon to be a senior in crystal academy. She didn't have time to worry about the future.
She watched in awe because Antiope did it so fluidly and with so much...patience and strength. In that aspect, Mintaka briefly recognized that Antiope could make a great regal lady with that kind of self control.
But her eyes dropped and she was met with eyeful of the girl's underwear which had Mintaka flustering up.
"Anti...Anti put your leg down hun, your....your panties are showing!?!?" Mintaka covered her eyes because it was impolite to stare and a little embarrassing.

If Antiope was embarrassed, she didn't really show it. Instead, she laughed before bringing her leg back down.
"Forgot that this uniform doesn't cover as much as my training clothes!" She put a hand behind her head and laughed loudly again.
"I think you got an idea of the style though... I don't know if this is the sort of thing for you though... Martial arts of any variety requires dedication." It was called a discipline for a reason.
Rather than ask permission to resume her work from before, the Mantis senshi once more took the starting stance before resuming her work with the previous Northern Praying Mantis form. This time, she moved at regular speed rather than the slowed down version.

Mintaka peeked through her fingers as Antiope's sudden panties were hidden, "How can you...ah I would be so embarrassed, it's such a private thing to show, since ladies don't...Ah Antiope." She rubbed her face.
She gnawed on her lip until the embarrassment fully subsided. "Oh...I suppose with my training to be a lady, and my classes and my tea ceremony practices...Ah...but it would be nice to be a martial artist..." She rubbed her chin, "I suppose it's not for me then."
"So Crane focuses on wide reacher of arms and legs while mantis focuses on short jabs to pressure points?"

"I suppose if you want to simplify it like that... then yes, I suppose that's the difference." The strikes were made much faster to the invisible opponents and within less than a minute, the girl already was back to resuming the resting stance.
With a firm nod, the Mantis senshi seemed to stop all practice and meandered in a seemingly random direction. That was until she picked up a canister and poured the contents into a lid to drink.
"Being a lady and being a martial artist sounds like a contradiction in interests if you ask me..." With jostle of the drink towards Mintaka's direction, Antiope then gulped down her beverage.

"Oh that's fascinating though. You must have trained your body for years to be able to switch from one to the other?" Mintaka rubbed her chin.
"Well yes." She let her hand drop, "It really is. There is no point, by a ladies standard, to learn anything more then self defense techniques. Most of the activities we learn are for show, and not actual use." She sighed, "I guess I will stick to being a lady then. Tea times and long conversations never get boring to me at least."

"Tea isn't such a bad thing!" Antiope easily chimed in on such matters as tea. There was a good chance she adored tea.
With such thoughts in mind, she poured another cap of her beverage up and gulped it down. "Cleanses the body and mind... not sure tea time is so much meant for me... but why try to get a panda to lay eggs?"
Perhaps it was an odd way of phrasing her point, but none could ever call Antiope the intellectual sort.

"It is the best thing." She laughed, "It's how we met after all right?" Mintaka obviously adored tea too, otherwise she wouldn't drink it! TEA LOVERS UNITE.
"Panda....to lay eggs....." She laughed and understood. It was how Antiope thought. "Well, this is true. Since you aren't interested in patrolling then, I'll leave you to your training!" Mintaka brought her hand up to salute Anti. "Don't get into trouble okay? And if you do want to patrol, anytime, please please please come find me okay?"

"Me? Get into trouble?" It was hard to read if her tone was sarcastic or absolutely naive, and her facial expression was equally as difficult to read. Momentarily placing the cap to her container, she offered a half wave.
"Um... sure... see you around I guess!" She'd keep that in mind, but it would only be far later that Antiope would figure out that she had no means to contact the other senshi.
Not that she'd consider patrolling.
What a waste of time!
