Batsu gave a shrug at the question presented to him and scratched his chin for a second. He then stopped walking and looked around. There were trees going down for a while and as he gazed upon them, an idea popped up in his head. Masaraku was a close-to-long ranged fighter and Batsu was solely a long-ranged one. The best option in his mind was to use both aspects together for an advantage.

"Well, I personally think that if you stayed on the ground and I took to the the trees then we could cover more area sight-wise and would be able to fight more efficiently if there was an attack.'' Batsu then looked over at Masaraku and unlatched his trusty bow from behind his back and brought it next to him. "Unless you have any other ideas, of course."

((I added a picture at the description post of the area on page 1. Try to imagine: instead of separate houses scattered over the place, there is a big collection of houses at the right corner were the ground were more flat instead of in an uphill. Like a plateau where the village is.
MH, awareness DC 30/45 passed/passed: Birds chirping could be heard through the air, the sun shined strong against the world and the wind blew gently. rom their current standing point, which were somewhat in the in the middle height of the valley, they could see that the road lead down towards a crossroad. A wooden pole, with two hanging signs were placed by it but the signs were too far away to read soly by eyesight. Following one of the crossroads you would come down to a river that traveled along the valley in an "S" shape. A small campfire could be seen, surronded by three figures.
The only abnormal thing that could be sighted, was a flickering light at the west side of the valley. Such a bright light, at a sunny day like this, could only mean that it was a reflection of the sun's beams from glass or metal. ))

She shrugged and said, "I meant scope the guys at the campfire for information or check out the glimmer in the distance. I'm all for checking out that glimmer first just in case, and as always, I could lay down some cover if you want to go the stealth route." She thought for a moment and then said, "or we could disguise ourselves to look a little less glamorous to blend in with the villagers and go for the fire. How are you at chakra manipulation these days? Its an academy technique, but it needs to look convincing."

The eyebrow over Batsu's right eye raised after hearing Masaraku's idea. Yeah, that was a basic skill but the medic never used it outside the academy. Naturally, he wasn't confident about trying to disguise himself... at all. It was a good idea, he just didn't feel comfortable trying to blend in like that.

Batsu lowered his eyebrow slightly as he looked at Masaraku. "Sorry, I haven't trained that skill and I'm not sure if I'd be of any use in that regard."

She smiled and said, "We can't all be masters of everything." The she looked at the glint in the distance and said, "But I guess that means that we will be heading up to meet the possible spy/sniper/random shiny object before we mingle with the common folk. I'll lay down some cover for us, I'm sure that you remember how it works." Masaraku shot off a few quick hand signs and mist began to flood the already misty area. This mist was a thick white that made it hard to see very far at all, and more importantly it provided Masaraku with a radar for anyone who was caught in it because her chakra was wired through the entire thing. "Lets head for that hill." She said as she grabbed Batsu's hand and rushed off with him into the mist towards where the glint had been

Hijutsu: Kiri Gakure no Jutsu (Hidden Technique: Art of the Hidden Mist)

This displacement technique is a specialty of the Ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It cannot fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.

((MH: A small error in your previous post. The area wasn't misty to being with, remember? The valley is nice, clear and sunny. But now it is hella misty of course.

Rolling an awareness roll to your Kiri Gakure no Jutsu (Hidden Technique: Art of the Hidden Mist) if he dosen't get a 20 then he is screwed so I'll post directly after. But roll a stealth check before continuing. Just so we are following the rules somewhat))

- Description of the flickering light -

As the Hoshikagi reached the flickering light, a young man could be spotted. The unknown person was holding a pair of binoculars against his eyes, scanning the valley. The flickering light had occured from the reflection of the sun in glass lenses. A lightbrown robe was all that could be seen other than a few brown hairs that stood out from his pulled up hood. The figure of the man was skinny and brittle. Not a man of combat or physical training.

Masaraku came out of the mist and grabbed the guy scoping out the general area as she whispered in his ear, "If you scream I cut your tongue out. If you refuse to cooperate I cut your eyes out. And if you still refuse after that I'll start getting more creative." Her Kusarigama's chain pulled tight on his body, blade on his throat. She began to tie him up as she started her interrogation session. "So, a pervert sits up on a hill spying on villagers shortly after a little girl goes missing. What do you think would happen if we took said pervert down to said villagers and said that the little perv took their precious girl away to do unspeakable things to her." Masaraku shot Batsu a sly smile as she tied the first knot tightly. "So here is the deal. Who are you working for? Where can we find them? And what do you know about the girl?" She paused as she secured another knot and peaked around so that he could see her face, showing him here shark-like teeth, "Oh yeah, and one more thing how attached are you to your ring finger?"

In the midst of the mist, Batsu ran to the nearest tree and as Masaraku moved so did he, stealthily hopping from tree to tree/ The boy peered through the mist during and came to a stop when he saw Masaraku grab a man. The guy was totally unaware of Masaraku's approach, which was a good thing. The hidden mist jutsu was a very effective technique. Good thing she was on Batsu's side.

As Masaraku continued her interrogation tactic, the medic looked around the area for any sign of others around. Every now and then he would hone in on what Masaraku was saying. Again... good thing she was on his side.

The bird watcher's attempt to diplomacy on Batsu: 1d20 (11) ChaM (6) + Diplo (10) = 27 vs. Sense motive + 1d20

As the man was on his watch, dedicated on finding anyone interfering with their mission, he did not notice the two shinobis as they snuck up on him. Having someone whisper in his ear, immidiately gave him the impulse to spaz out and start screaming. But when the terrifying whisper says that "you shouldn't because then parts of your face will start flying" you control yourself. He felt some kind of metal circling around his body, he tried to sink down towards the ground to try and escape by going through it, but when a knife got pushed up against his throut, he figured that escape was futile and accepted the outcome. Eventually, he was bound up with rope as well. He noticed now that it was a woman talking. She started spewing out stuff about him being a pervert, trying to get a sexual kick out of watching people. That secured him somewhat, hoping that they didn't know about the missing girl. But then she started mentioning her as well. Sweat started to pour.

"Hey! HEEY! Wait a second okay?! I-I I have no idea what you are talking about lady! I am a bird watcher!" he looked into her eyes with confusion, or atleast he tried but she was kind of close to the devil in scariness. The hood had fallen down, reaviling a shoulder length straight, dark hair. "I am just a bird watcher.. Please.. I have heard about the girl! Yes! Our precious girl from the village has been taken this morning! But please, please belive me. I just like looking at birds.. I can take you down there and guide you but.. But.. Please don't take my finger!"

MH:

Batsu's awareness result:

Jungle. They were surronded by veins hanging from trees, tight growing bushes and bugs crawling on their feet. The mist was thick but Batsu could still spot the village in the distance and a small part of the mist was brighter than the rest. Batsu figured that it was the fire they saw from earlier. Although there was something extra ordinary about this, a certain light blue flower that had not been seen before along their travels, with black lines flowing out from the center could be spotted circling around them. The size of it was that of a hand and it looked rather beautiful.
DC: 40 of survival to draw a rough conclusion what the attributes of the flower has.

Masaraku shrugged as the man pleaded, "Okay, so you're a bird watcher. You see lots of birds on misty nights in these parts?" It was still suspicious, Masaraku continued with the rope. "I'll tell you what, if the villagers clear you, then we let you go. Assuming that you are a citizen of the land of mist you should cooperate with us. If you try to escape I consider you guilty of perving on the hill tops and punish you accordingly." She looked to Batsu to see if he was buying the Bird Watcher story, after all, she had learned from experience that she wasn't the best judge of character. Assuming guilt until proven otherwise worked in her favor to compensate for that. She tied up the last bits of rope and looked down at the guy. "So we take him to the villagers and let them decide what to do with him?" She saw the weird plant and figured it may be some kind of jutsu. She focused on her jutsu to see if there were any people nearby.

Batsu stood in a tree and watched his surroundings closely to see if anything was amiss. The boy's eyes trailed the area and as he did so he spotted a weird-looking blue flower on the ground. Weird. Batsu, being a medic, had never read about such a flower before... from anywhere. Batsu became a bit curious but didn't want to bother it since it might trigger something. He turned away from the flower and hopped down to the ground.

The medic looked over at his teammate and pointed over to the flower that he had seen. "Masaraku, that flower is bugging me. There is no record of such a thing in any books I've seen. Something doesn't sit well with me."

"Listen.." Ignoring their incertainty about the flower "When we get down to the village, I can introduce you to the parents that lost Yoshima, the girl, I know them. Her father got me my job as a delivery boy" he gently rubbed his wrists from the burns he got from the rope. He looked at the two with eager to get back down. There he would probably be safe from the blue devil. He didn't dare to stand up before they told him to, but he slowly started to stretch out his legs. They've cramped somewhat when he was tied down. "S-So, should we go?" still being mildly frightend by the woman, he spoke in a very hesitant and gentle manner.
