There were times when Buddingtonite found himself getting lost in the moment, and any time one of his Lovelies were involved, especially one like Buyan, it was all too easy. Her love of the arts and dramatic flare made it entirely too much fun, threatening to override the whole reason why he was here in the first place. Had his captain not gone on about how disappointed she was, he might have just assumed they were hear to make a scene. And yet, they were there for that, right?
They had to make an example of Claire, for all to see. Might as well have some fun with it, he thought to himself, crossing his arms and allowing Buyan to speak her piece, not wanting to interrupt her game. It would have been far too rude and he was rather enjoying seeing Claire squirm.
Don't get carried away. There are appearances to keep up.
There were, but he didn't care. He wanted Buyan to have her day, and what better day than the present? She had earned this. An idea came to mind, and there was no way of stopping that Grinch-like grin from plastering his face as he finally spoke up, though only after the theatrics were over. It'd be rude to speak up otherwise. "Make them think? Well, you'll certainly make them think twice about attempting these 'what if' pieces ever again. As her teacher and the one most betrayed by her actions, how would you like this matter to be addressed, Buyan? I am giving you full discretion and freedom... please, do think of something fitting."

Buyan's arms and soon enough as Buddy asked her to think of a fitting punishment one hand went up to her chin in a thoughtful manner. "A fitting punishment?" The drawl of the words indicated she was only playing in thought to her General king as she often used the method to make him guess what she was thinking. To others though it sounded as if this was a horribly difficult choice.
"Well. . . we could . . . Hm. . . . No, no I don't think that would be proper. It'd be too lenient in return for the heart break she's given me." Her eyes narrowed more in false thought before smiling. "Sir, What color is her starseed? I have a small need to find one to finish my collage - you know that one that's suppose to go in the museum later this month. I'm missing just the right color."
Granted she didn't reallllly use starseeds for art, neigh that'd be a waste however, no one else needed to know that. "If her's is the right color, it'd serve as an example of what happens to those that take art too lightly and make jokes of it."

Buddingtonite had no idea what was going to happen next. He may have had a general idea of what might possibly happen, but when he left it in Buyan's hands, it was like he had opened the door to a new realm of possibilities. Now was his chance to see just how similar, or different, their idea of punishment worked out in one another's head. Was Buyan just as vengeful and petty as he was, or would she be a kind-hearted saint?
The latter made him want to laugh, but he barely held down the urge. Don't laugh, he told himself. That was NOT the appropriate behavior for an esteemed General-King! They would not laugh at such trivial things!
She had asked him what color the starseed was, and he sent her a genuinely confused expression, answering before it dawned on him exactly what she was implying. "Now, Buyan my dear, you know the only way for us to find that out would be to pluck the precious thing from her chest."
Then it dawned on him, and finally, he did laugh. But it wasn't a pleasant one. At all. "Perhaps you should see for yourself then? It could very well be the piece de résistance you're looking for!"
