As the blanket fell on him, Crocodile slitted his eyes thinking something had stolen his companion in the night but as he watched there was no one stealing her but she herself trying out the spindly foal legs. He smiled until she fell in the mud, then he surged to his feet and guided her into the shallows where he proceeded to scrap and wash the mud off, tickling her in the process.

Nhi Hala's head swiveled at the sound of Crocodile getting up, flames trailing from her eyes. She let him guide her into the shallows, squirming as she was tickled during the cleaning process. She didn't like being ticklish!

"There all clean again, I think your mother will be most proud of you Nhi Hala."
He paced back onto shore and retreaved her blanket. "Your mom will wan this for sure I think, Shall we head back? Do you think your siblings have emerged too?"
He wasn't used to this much talk. It was a quiet life being a loner.

Nhi Hala stumbled after him, beaming at his compliment. She nodded to the comment, shook her head to the first question, and nodded to the second question. Her mother would want the blanket and her siblings were likely coming out of their blankets too, but she didn't want to go back yet. She wanted to practice where she wouldn't be knocked over by her siblings.

Crocodile gestured in the direction her mother was supposed to be..but her body language spoke of much reluctance. "You don't wish to leave? Arn't you hungry mon petite?"
What was he to do? She didn't seem to want to go home ever...maybe if he sacrificed an ankle?

Nhi Hala stuck close to Crocodile's side, nodding to both questions. Still, she followed the stallion on wobbly legs towards where her mother had left them the previous day. If they didn't show up, Mother would look for them and might be upset.

Well that settled it. He couldn't let her be hungry that would be awful. Poor starving little filly, off to her dear mother she went. And a really brave and trusting mother at that then again, he wasn't sure steel jaws would have had a better grip on his leg then she did at times.
He arrived at the meeting place, Nhi Hala in tow. He peered around anxiously for her mother, he wouldn't want her to worry the last thing he would want is for Nhi to be injured.

Nhi Hala beamed up at Crocodile as she silently danced about him on her unsteady legs. She had a special friend! Though Lien didn't like him much... But that was ok too. Her expression fell as her mother reappeared with said brother, her other siblings absent.
Ca had left the other children with Paimon, but Lien had refused to leave her side. It amused her, how protective the child already appeared to be of his little sister. She nodded in greeting to the stallion her daughter had just been prancing around, silent laughter sparkling in her pumpkin-colored eyes.

Crocodile smiled back down at Nhi, darling little nibbler. And she was doing quite well on her legs. Lien saw Ca, and the other foal who had chewed on his ankle, he wasn't sure if that was a warning or a greeting from the other day, but add in the growling and he had a pretty good idea.
Lien Son Hai Quan was also wobbling on unsteady legs after his mother doggedly. They might not always go the right direction but they did go forward like he wanted them to.
Crocodile nodded back genially. It was kind of nice having a peek at this family, although he had not met the father yet, he assumed he was more high strung then the suave mother.
"Good morn Ca Thu Thi. Nhi has come back as you can see."

Ca Thu Thi nodded, smiling at her sulking daughter. "Nhi. Time to go. We come visit another time."
Nhi Hala sighed and nodded, but glanced up at Crocodile again. She nipped lightly at his leg fins before sullenly stumbling over to her mother and brother. She hoped they visited again soon...
