Rebuilding the tower was part of the fun of the game, so Maebe didn't even hesitate when she agreed. "Deal," She piped out, just as it flipped to her turn. "s**t, s**t, s**t," She couldn't help but laugh as she tried desperately to find a piece, and almost knocked the entire tower in her desperation. A high pitched sound left her when it jiggled, but she managed to grab the piece without incident and plop it down on top. She screamed as she smacked the timer, and then tilted over in giggles. Ah, there was that Southern Comfort, right on cue. "I suck at this game, we need better rules to give me handicaps." She giggled off from the floor. "Like, prettier princess gets twice as much time. No, wait, you'd still get that one." 17/60

"Hence why I didn't suggest it." Ripley replied, as dryly as ever. "Didn't want to ruin your self-esteem again." His gaze was on the tower now that it was his turn, resuming his light taps of various blocks in an attempt to find the loose one.
But that one tile wouldn't show itself. His heart pounded and his moves became erratic and, like Maebe, he nearly knocked over the tower trying to find that one damned tile that was looser than the rest. But, unlike Maebe, he didn't omit any scared or panicked noises, and thankfully he found the block on his second pass through, and slapped his timer as fast as he possibly could have.
"Jesus. Tricky little ********." He grumbled, grabbing the Forty Creek for another drink because, when Jenga got hard, drinking was clearly the answer.

"Who does your hair, anyway? Do you condition regularly, or are your locks normally that shiny and lustrous? You should let me put braids in it, all the boys will be after you." She kept teasing him even as he was frustrated in his attempts to find a piece, because s**t talk made the game even more fun - but when it was her turn, she found herself in the same situation as him. Tiny noises escaped her as she touched pieces and wobbled the tower, and it took far too long for her to actually find a loose piece this time before she finally had the chance to grab one and put it on top of the tower. She slammed the timer and then hopped once, pointing her finger at him while screaming "HA." Because he was right. This was fun. And she was drunk. That meant it was time to drink more. The Southern Comfort made it back to her lips before he could even manage to finish his next turn, and she guzzled freely. 27/60

"I'm not nearly drunk enough to share beauty tips." He flashed an extremely brief grin at her, before watching the tower again. "All the boys? Heavens." Ripley's tone never deviated from the dry, almost humourless drone. But he already had all the boy he could handle, thank you. "But what if I want a girl?"
He visibly jumped as she screamed at him, but apparently wasn't quite thrown off his game, as he quickly found a piece in the middle of the tower to move. Timer slapped, and the Whiskey was brought to his lips, which for the moment sported a rather cocky grin.

"Well I don't know, boys are usually the ones that tend to like such prettiness. If you want a girl, you've got to rough it up a little." She leaned over, even as he hit the timer and turned it around to her turn. Her hand ruffled his hair, trying to mess it up, and then she stumbled back down to try and find a piece. She was getting awful at this game, because she'd gone way overboard on the drinking way too fast. She found a piece after a weak attempt to search, and dropped it right on top of the tower. Her hand fell on the timer. "Ta-daaaa." 36/60

"Hey!" Ripley nearly whined as she went to mess up his hair, trying to shrug away her touch. "I'm plenty rough." He said without thinking, pawing at his hair with one hand - because the other was holding his whiskey, which was too important to let go - to flatten it back down.
It also somewhat distracted him for his next turn, which he realized was happening a good three seconds after it started. He let out a choked noise, one that was now compliments of the alcohol, and scrambled to find block to move and to hit his timer.
"-You did that on purpose."

Maebe found it way funnier than it actually was, when he tried to fix his hair again. She hadn't actually done it all on purpose, but when she realized it had affected his gameplay, suddenly messing up his hair was clearly her only choice. So she roared like a cat, and leaned over to mess it up again, but only after plucking a piece out and dropping it on the tower. "You're not rough enough! Not tough enough! We've got to make you a man, Ripley!" 39/60

"Gackh!" Ripley sputtered out as his turn was instead met with a vicious attack by small fingers. His only choice was to put his whiskey down to try and grab her wrist, but when he realized his timer was going, he instead tried to ignore her to focus on the game.
Which was way harder than he thought it would be, considering she had shaken his head and skewed his glasses.
But he managed, somehow, and slapped his timer - then reached out to return fire, stretching to ruffle her hair now that it was her turn.31/60

Her tactics were working, she was totally winning! (She wasn't.) She started to touch pieces when the timer was hers, and almost slammed her fist into the tower when she laughed at the mussing of her hair. She would have gotten upset, except everything was so much funnier right now, even her now messy hair. She flung it back with one hand, and flicked a piece free, piling it on and slamming the timer. "I don't need to be rough, you do, I need to be perfect like I always am. Quit it! Go smoke a cigar and scratch your crotch." 44/60

"I'll show you rough." Ripley grumbled under his breath, before adding, a little louder: "Your hair is messy." As if that destroyed her perfection...not that it would.
"Who even has cigars here?" He countered, though he did consider scratching himself for a moment - if it weren't for the fact that he realized it was his time again, and he was slacking enough as it is!

Normally she wouldn't respond to that seriously, but she was just drunk enough to worry about her hair at that moment, and she reached up to try and fuss with it terribly. "Noooo," She whined, bouncing the curls at the end of her strands until they looked better. She did this even as he sent the timer back in her direction, belatedly letting out a yelp and searching for a piece. She took way too long - her timer was almost out. "You tricked me!" She cried out. "I'm going to beat you up." She had reached that sweet zone of you have no idea what you're saying anymore.53/60
