Reeling a little from the speed of Mintaka's thoughts and speech, Chariklo resorted to smiling and nodding at appropriate intervals. Though she had to laugh a little at Mintaka's cheerful curiosity.
"I don't know if it counts as a success story when I never got any before and after shots to show off. But yeah. We can't be purified or taken by the Negaverse, so we are pretty lucky that way."
As for the Cats being cute, well. She didn't have any personal experience wih any of the Guardians, Order or Chaos, so she didn't think that she could really add to that line of that. And as for Ares... Oof!
"Ares," she began, speaking carefully, "is the Princess who awakened me. She's the reason that the Dark Mirrors exist."
That was safe enough. And really, there was no reason to let Mintaka know that Ares had been missing for far too long now. With luck, the other senshi would notice her reluctance to talk about Ares and drop the subject.

"Oh that is good! I've heard of corruptions and purification's, but only word to mouth things? I don't think it's a great process, but that's...well...i don't know. I guess not for me." She smiled, "I like Dark Mirror court's attire, I've noticed you have more lacey sheer things..." As such, She reached over and gently toyed with the baby doll blue sheer thingy. "that's pretty!"
She blinked, "Maybe I should find a cat for you to meet! I would let you meet the one that awakened me but he was like...just kind of threw me to the wolves I guess. Really grumpy. Fat but grumpy."
The tone at the mention of Ares made Mintaka reel back and far away from the conversation. It seemed the princess was a touchy matter and princesses were always a touchy matter no matter who it was. She really wanted to know more about Ares, but just...let it fade away.
"So do you have someone you love?"

Tilting her head a little, Chariklo considered Mintaka's words and watched as the other girl played a bit with her fuku's overlay.
"I hadn't really thought about it," she admitted. "But I guess you're right. The overlays are pretty. As for meeting a cat, well. Let's just wait and see what happens on that score, mmkay?"
Personally, she was pretty sure that she wasn't the sort that an Order cat would happily volunteer to meet. That whole, silly Order vs. Chaos thing. Instead, she latched gratefully onto Mintaka's next questions. Grinning a little dreamily, she gave a nod.
"I have lots of folks I love," she said. "But if you're asking if I have one special person in my life, the answer is yes. I'd do anything for her. Even try watching Doctor Who."
Laughing a little, Chariklo glanced over at Mintaka.
"You?" Nyxtsuki Moon I am a slug, I am so sorry! Have a tag!

"Sure! I know one cat you should avoid though..." Mintaka shrugged, "I met Zirconia of the parallel moon court. She's not...overly fond of your court at all." She waited, "She's a lavender cat, with a moon symbol on her head rather then a star."
It was sad but Mintaka was naive enough to hope that maybe she would find a guardian cat that would talk to the dark mirrors. Or just talk more in general. She liked *********, but she knew her and Thetis were strictly guardians of order.
"I don't know what Doctor Who is, or who ....he is, but it must be love if you are willing to go that far!" She smiled....and then it faltered a little.
"Too young for that, my parents would say." She shrugged, "I'm looking for a prince, and I have my fair share of crushes and admiration. Personally, Remarque and Nysa are my preferences. They are both very um..." She laughed, "Princely." but sometimes she would dwell on that grumpy scowling face of Aurostibite and wonder...did she crush on him? Or did she just want to reach him in anyway possible? hmmm...

A lavender cat... Could it be?
"I... may have seen her once, assisting a Knight I was fighting. Huh, so I wasn't crazy when i thought I heard her talking to him. Good to know."
Listening with clear interest, she had to fight hard to keep from betraying her amusement. Well, at least here maybe she could do a good turn for her little buddy.
"Never met this Nysa, but oh yeah, Remarque can be real princely," she murmured, a little hiccup of a chuckle escaping. There was a good reason for Remarque's princeliness, after all. Still.
"He's taken, you know. So probably not the best guy to crush on."
Tapping a fingertip against her lips, she took a moment to think before smiling.
"So, only handsome, elegant guys for you then? You've never crushed on the Bad Boy? The scruffy, rough and tumble sort, I mean. I don't want you crushing on someone who's actually, you know, bad. Hell, I've known some princely types who were total douchcraft carriers, you know? Mean, abusive, cheating jerks. And then you turn around and the scruffy guy who looks like he should be out murder-raping old ladies turns out to be a thoughtful, gentle sweetheart who, not only wouldn't hurt a fly, but he delivers Christmas toys to orphans and s**t. Point is," she paused to side-eye Mintaka, "be careful not to let wanting a prince be the bigger consideration. Princes aren't always elegant smooth talkers like ol' Remmy."
Oh, Remarque would probably want to smack her for calling him Remmy. But what was the point of him having such a wonderfully nick-nameable name otherwise?

"Oh well...I strongly advise to avoiding her presence." Mintaka nodded.
Mintaka laughed afterwards and nodded, "Oh yes, I suppose its not the sort of crush...like I do not think of him romantically, it's like..." She tried to put it in words, "Crushing on a celebrity or something like that?" She laughed again.
She scoffed at the mention of bad boys.
"No no no, they will not do. I have to find a guy with good standing and breeding." Mintaka murmured, feeling foolish for saying it outloud, but since it was all she had known growing up
"Ol' Remmy..." she kind of giggled and shrugged, "I'm young, and I have plenty of time to find someone. What is your girls name? What is she like?"

Snorting a laugh, Chariklo couldn't help but try to offer more good advice. It would either stick or it wouldn't, but it would maybe give Mintaka something to think about.
"Good standing and proper breeding don't always create good people," she replied drily. "I've been around high society enough growing up to learn that. I'd rather have someone with a good heart than a ********' blue blooded pedigree."
And really, Mintaka had a point when she said she was still young. She had time to figure out what she really and truly wanted. Chariklo let the subject go and instead focused on addressing the least potentially harmful of tonight's topics.
"Amytis," she answered easily, giving her girlfriend's senshi name. She wasn't at all sure how common a name like Avacyn or Ava was in Destiny City. She didn't want to risk outting anyone unwillingly. "And she's fantastic. Gorgeous, a total sweetheart and a bit of a nerd. But she's not obnoxious about her nerdery. It's cute when she talks about her hobbies, y'know? Or maybe I'm just hella biased."
She chuckled at herself. Biased was putting it mildly.

Mintaka hummed thoughtfully, and then nodded.
"I agree with you 100%, to be honest. I want someone who likes me for me, and that I can like for them. But sometimes the world is cruel and that's not the way it works." She smiled sadly, "Knowing my family, I'll probably be matched to possible canidates and then have the choice of the best one. Sort of like an arranged marriage-" Or contract marriage.
"But I have hope I will have at least one young love before that happens, true and through." She stared off dreamily, and the face stayed even as Chariklo gushed about her girl.
"She sounds wonderful, and quite the match for you." Mintaka laughed, "But i think miss Chariklo would be the dashing mysterious princely knight type." warning, Amytis just became a beautiful wonderful princess in a tower and Chariklo her knight.
She slipped her phone out again and then exclaimed loudly with a gasp.
"Oh dear, oh no." She got up and made small noises, "I'm late for piano classes. Ahh, I'm sorry Miss Chariklo, but I gotta run!" She leaned over and kissed the dark mirror court senshi on the cheek. "Make sure to call me okay? Or text me! I'd love to patrol with you again!"

Well, that didn't sound ideal, but Mintaka seemed to at least know what she was in store for. That counted for something, right? Though the mental image of herself as a Knight in Shining Armor type nearly doubled her over from restrained laughter. Shaking slightly from the effort of holding in gales of laughter, Chariklo grinned and nodded her understanding.
"I tried piano once. Didn't quite work out the way my step-mother wanted. But hey! Go make beautiful music, Princess and I'll see you around..."
Blinking owlishly as the other senshi kissed her, Chariklo raised a hand to her cheek and arched an eyebrow.
"Hey! No fair stealing my moves, girl!" she laughed. Making shooing motions with her hands, she continued to laugh softly. "Go on. We'll talk again sometime. Have fun plunking the ivories!"
