Canopus glanced away when Mintaka said she was making a face, but it wasn't an insult or meant to be taken as one. She was simply shy and self conscious, even when around friends. Maybe that'd change, and she listened to Mintaka's plight and felt a sense of deeper understanding from her confession. "Then we're definitely thinking alike, Mintaka. I want the same... maybe if we work together we'll find that strength someday? I can only hope..."
She wasn't expecting Mintaka to try and pull her hands away, but she didn't fight against the motion, though. While she was happy that her friend didn't mock and tease her like others might have done, it was still a topic she wasn't quite comfortable bringing up. Yes, she crushed on so many people, one of them being her prince, but she was certain that there was a certain other individual that would not approve of her crush. And the mere thought of that getting back to her? Oh, no, no, no, that was enough to want her to not talk about it. Even with Mintaka, it was a taboo subject. "No, maybe not, but... um... let's not talk about that right now, okay? I blush too easily..."
The topic of Mirrorspace and their lost homeworlds was a pleasant change and Canopus jumped onto that quickly. Yes, a far less embarrassing and less life threatening topic for them to discuss! "Yes, our homeworlds are lost to us, but only for now. That's why we're collecting energy, so that we can one day reclaim them, and move there. Get off this planet that apparently hates us so much and live out our days in peace. I wonder what my home was like... maybe one day, when we find a way, I can take you there?"
The thought of going to Mintaka's home, or even off world all together, was an exciting thought in her mind, and she couldn't hide her excitement. Even when Mintaka offered herself up to drain energy, she was thinking of all of the amazing sights to be seen, though it didn't last long. Drain Mintaka? She had offered, but Canopus found herself shaking her head, even before she muttered. "Oh... no... I don't think I could do that to you... what if I hurt you? I actually... never drained anyone before."
Could she do it, if Mintaka kept badgering? Would Mintaka let the topic go? She hoped so... she didn't want to think about hurting her friend!

"Two heads are better then one, they always said." Mintaka bumped shoulders with Canopus as she voiced her resolve, that matched her own. She hoped desperately that the two could find something...anything that would help them grow and be heard. that inner strength they could play off each other. But that required time, and she had to remind herself that patience was the virtue, it wouldn't happen overnight.
"Oh you do." She smiled and nodded, "But it's rude of me to keep making you uncomfortable, so we'll change the subject!" She nodded again and tapped her chin. "it's hard to believe that people would treat you so horribly when you had no choice in the matter. And earth is not...one person's planet. It's a billion peoples planet and we need to learn to share." She crossed her arms. "That would be lovely! I've never been offered to go anothers planet! That sounds thrilling."
"If you are worried, I have made the same offer to Remarque, so perhaps I can take both of you there at the same time, just to see what its like and show you my planet." Mintaka nodded, "It's a little rubbly but I've found some interesting past artifacts and ruins."
She blinked at Canopus before stopping and turning to face the girl, her hands hesitantly reached out before resting on Canopus. "Canopus my dear, you are very precious." But, "I was curious about the process, so don't think you're forcing me. I will not demand it of you, because that is rude, but I would prefer that if you were to first drain from someone, it'd be from someone you know and trust and trust you in return. I know you wouldn't hurt me intentionally, but control not to comes with practice and time." She eased her serious face into a smile. "But I do respect and understand if you don't know want to drain from me. And that is okay too, we are friends after all."

All Canopus could do was offer a small but sincere smile to her friend, bobbing her head up and down in agreement. She was happy for the subject change, though she'd never go as far as to call Mintaka rude for her comments. No, Mintaka was wise, kind... nothing about her was rude or mean! "I wouldn't mind sharing... maybe one day we can share? It seems so far-fetched of an idea. Even outside of Destiny City, there's war going on, but maybe..."
One could dream, right? She hoped the fighting would end someday, and not just within the city, but fighting everywhere. What good came out of killing your enemies, when one could talk with them instead? She was so naive and she wanted to think all of their problems could be resolved just by sitting down and discussing the matter, and yet, part of her knew it was impossible. Two senshi from opposing courts talking wouldn't solve their problems, but it was a start, right?
The idea of visiting someone's homeworld was exciting and there was nothing more she wanted to do than think about how fantastic that would have been, but it was hard to concentrate when the topic of demonstrating her energy draining was still fresh on her mind. Even when Mintaka pressed her hands over her own in a comforting manner, she found herself wanting to shy away from the topic all together. What if she hurt Mintaka? What if it... killed her? Should she really be draining others, even with their permission? Or maybe she was worrying for nothing?
There was only one way to find out, and Canopus withdrew her touch, so that she could summon one of her Mirror Wraiths. It was barely visible and might not have even been seen if she didn't move it for Mintaka to see. "Alright... but if it hurts too much, or if it takes too much, tell me and I'll stop. Are you ready?"

"Sharing, as they say, is caring." She smiled at Canopus. Unlike Canopus, there wasn't even a fraction of doubt in her mind. Things could and would be solved with talking, and not with fist. She didn't think she was naive, but smart. If she was smarter, she would make a large amount of allies on either side to draw together, and perhaps, that would create a ripple...followed by many more in the pool of war.
Mintaka watched as Canopus moved away, and wondered if she made the girl TOO uncomfortable. But she watched as she summoned...what had Chariklo called them? Mirror...wraiths! There it was. It was very faint, and at first she didn't know if she was seeing it right.
She nodded her head and gave a reassuring smile to Canopus, "Should I just...stand here?" She assumed so, there would probably not be any other easier way.

Somehow, hearing Mintaka say such a thing helped ease all doubt in her mind. Not to mention her willingness to commit to the act, despite the dangers that may have existed. Canopus wanted to think that if it became too much that Mintaka would tell her and she'd have the ability to pull the Wraith back, so with that in mind, she released the Mirror Wraith and let it do its thing.
The moment it picked up on Mintaka's aura, the Mirror Wraith shot forward, latching onto her and seeking the delicious energy that the senshi held within her, like a leech to a limb. The more it devoured, the more it became solid, and whereas its master was unwilling and nervous, there was no hesitation from the Mirror Wraith.
"I... I hope it's not too painful? Let me know and I'll reel it back."

She made a small squeal sort of sound as she felt the mirror wraith descend on her but tilted her head. She wasn't sure at first if she was feeling anything, and was actually okay with it.
The wraith became more solid, which she tried to absorb its looks. Different then youma's but no less the need to drain for energy.
"It's okay!" Mintaka assured her, reaching out to touch the wraith, if it allowed her too?

Canopus had never witnessed a Mirror Wrath feast in person, and she was just as amazed by the feat as much as Mintaka was. From where Canopus stood, which was rather close by and well within arms reach of both her friend and the Mirror Wraith, it didn't look as though it was causing her any discomfort, but it was like Canopus to worry for much. Like waiting to be handed off a baby from someone too weak to hold the infant in their own hands, Canopus stood close, ready to take her Wraith back before it could get out of hand. This was a bad idea! A very bad idea! Why did she let Mintaka talk her into it?
And yet, as usual, Canopus' fears were for naught. The more energy the Wraith took, the more solid it had become, and when the deed was done and Mintaka reached out to touch the mirror, it shook violently and fled back to Canopus' arms, too afraid of the Senshi's touch to risk it. It was so strange, holding the Mirror Wraith, something completely unfamiliar and human, to her own chest like a pet or a small child.
"I guess it's shy... or maybe your touch hurts it in this stage? I'm sorry... you're not hurt or anything, are you? It didn't take too much, did it? I can carry you home... I think I could, anyway."

Mintaka blinked, and her hand went instead to the wraith to her forehead. She felt a little-no well now that it had finished, a lot more tired. As if she fought 3 or four youma's after each other. Okay maybe not that tired, but enough that she managed a weak smile.
"No no! Not hurt, I'm sorry little one." She nodded to the little wraith, which reminded her of a small child the way it clung to Canopus. "But wow that's a doozy, I can see why some people dislike the idea of it." She breathed out, "You did it Canopus though! I am neither dead nor incapicitated and your mirror wraith did not hurt me! I'm quite content with what I have learned today." She took a step and felt a head rush before breathing out, a small giggle escaping.
"I think I might need help home yes, if you don't mind. Or maybe a small cat nap to recharge afterwards. Oh you know, I'll probably sleep very well tonight, it's that kind of tired you know? You'd-" She yawned, "Be great sleep aid when the body finds itself with too much energy."

It was no use. No matter how sweet, or kind, or even drained the White Moon senshi was, the Mirror Wraith wanted nothing of it. It quivered in Canopus' arms, silent but scared, and Canopus knew better than to make it stay here any longer than it needed to be. She talked to it softly, like comforting a child or a terrified puppy. "You did good. Go straight home now, okay? Thank you so much for your hard work."
Did it appease the Mirror Wraith? Could it be appeased? It was hard to say, but it obeyed without question. Just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared, leaving Canopus to tend to her friend. And at this point, there was no denying that her friend needed to be tended to! She looked so tired, but Mintaka sounded so happy, and that definitely soothed her conscious as she couldn't help but feel accomplished. She did it! She gathered energy for her beloved court! She just wished it wasn't her friend's!
"No, no, it's thanks to you! You didn't really have to do that, but... thank you regardless! At least now I know what'll it'll do, so if they ask I can tell them." Indeed, she and Mintaka both learned something new that day. She was quick to take Mintaka's hand now, hearing her yawn and preparing for the journey home. "Let's go home then... you helped me so much. I'll find some way to repay you someday. Thank you again, Mintaka."

Mintaka would like to think in that moment, Canopus seemed very motherly and that her wraith had very much shown a aspect of the dark mirror's personality. Perhaps she could try again next time.
She was more then happy that she had been able to help Canopus and though the woman didn't show her joy, at least her energy had been drained carefully and from someone she could trust.
"That's what friends are for, darling Canopus." Mintaka said, her voice a little sluggish. The tired really settling in now, and another yawn escaped. "No problem really!" Mintaka did rest a little on Canopus, rattling off her address with no complaints that the Dark mirror would know where she lived. In fact, she was very grateful the dark mirror lead her home, because at this moment, all she could do was follow blindly.
Once home, she turned to face Canopus and set her hands on the girls shoulders. "You've been wonderful! You've got my number, and know where I am at now. If you ever wanna come over and hang? Or talk and stuff-" One last yawn -"I am here for you." She relaxed and then snuck into her window, waving goodbye to Canopus. Her aura faded and she collapsed on her bed. not even 2 minutes later, she was asleep.ChibiGingi And a wrap * A* We should rp again
