I feel the GoFusion is a simplified Alchemy system for those who felt the current system is "too complex" I'm on the fence, still waiting to see how it evolves ninja

I don't think gofusion is the end of alchemy, if anything it's just a shadow of what alchemy is. It's simple yes but it's completely cash run, heck in a way it's like the rich persons alchemy. I don't see it as an end to alchemy unless the gaia staff makes it the end. Which I hope they don't, they need a gold sink not a cash sink. Heck they need to work on alchemy more than making new ways to spend your cash, I mean if they're going to keep pumping out gold producing items they need to balance it out with a gold sucking system. Granted the funding events they've been having is a good step in the right direction but it's not a permanent solution cause once people donate the max amount for prizes or what ever amount they want they're going to stop putting gold out and start getting gold in again. Alchemy is good cause with those high end items and components people are having to sink gold into making multiple attempts to make an item with a high failure rate and it's a solid system as long as they keep it updated with items people want. And it would be better if for ******** sake make a way to get the rare items a lot of the formulas call for. All those CI's and items that aren't given away anywhere anymore are something that's currently choking the system and they've done bugger all to fix it cause they're too busy raising the gold prize cap. They've got plenty of common items to work with to start as a base! And they've got all the loot from zOMG to work with too so it's not like the resources don't exists they've just done nothing with them!
I'm sorry for ranting on your post, this has been building for a while now it just came spilling out.

The sad thing is, they could make cash on the alchemy system if they tried, they're just being lazy, and if I'm being completely honest, I think they're trying to redo things in a new image, like, remake the site and "spiff it up" which is kinda dumb. I posted my opinion on a [thread] similar to this, so I'll just copy/paste it here. "I'm pretty sure that Gaia has already suspended development on Alchemy. For the most part, it has remain unchanged for years now. All the recent changes were "quality of life" things like selling Philosopher's Caches for gold and bundling them up. That said, I don't think Alchemy is as dead as stuff like that Moga game from some years ago. Even zOMG is getting fixes, so there might still be hope that Alchemy won't be left to collect dust. I see GoFusion as the next logical progression for Gaia as a company. It's Alchemy, but you can directly make stuff with GC, which is a feature that Alchemy doesn't have. Judging from how people need instant gratification so badly, it's reasonable that Gaia would profit off of this buy offering what is essentially a GC 'pay to win' button. Alchemy simply takes too much time for some people's liking. To be honest, I'm neutral to GoFusion's existence. I don't think it will kill off Alchemy because the two don't make the same things. GoFusion has items that fit the current trend of what's popular and desirable, but Alchemy has an extensive list of (semi-)exclusive items and all-time favorites. I think this will be like Towns and Towns2. Gaia will try to push people towards the new feature, but it won't be able to replace the old one." Edited 'cause grammar.

One idea I thought of in regards to GoFusion is the idea that maybe Gaia could add formulas for the Charms in Alchemy: each of the different Charms at a different level, all of them ideally requiring only Philosopher's cache's in terms of ingredients, and each of them having a different set of Cache's being needed most. My thoughts for this would be: Heart Charm: Level 1, mostly Ruby and Topaz (color when it comes to Ruby, Topaz because I think it's one of the more common ones? I could be wrong) Star Charm: Level 4, mostly Amethyst and Garnet (Amethyst for color, Garnet due to potentially being common if I'm not mistaken) Diamond Charm: Level 7, mostly Sapphire and Aquamarine (both mostly due to color but with Aquamarine, be prepared to get a LOT of them) Wildcard Charm: Level 10, mostly Gold and some Platinum (Gold for the color, both because of rarity) I think it's only fair to have formulas for GoFusion Charms added to Alchemy as a balance to Alchemy items added to GoFusion.
Random question: If those who use the Alchemy system are Alchemists, then would those who use the GoFusion system be considered Enchanters/Enchantresses?

It's an interesting idea, but I doubt Gaia will make GoFusion Charms available through Alchemy. That would essentially make the feature entirely free, and based on their current design, that would be completely against the point. Gaia wants GoFusion to be Alchemy that can generate GC revenue. Making its Charms so readily available would not make them any money.

Has anyone else noticed the GoFusion kickstart unlocking "Add Alchemy Items to GoFusion".
Am I the only pessimistic one? It won't be too long before alchemized backwings can be made with GoFusion charms. *said with the utmost distaste*

vero14_70 Maybe they will add items in GoFusion that we need for alchemy smile That would be a great idea some of the items are very hard to find.

There's talk in GCD that at least 24T of the GoFusion kickstart gold was ill-gotten, so chances are good that it will be removed from the kickstart.

I really hope that we get to keep that Alchemy goal level, and that the items that are given are ones that are currently extremely rare and inflated.
I'm also pretty happy with how many people are buying caches while looking for heart charms because its a bunch of gold that is sunk into the gold shops.

The alchemy tier can be taken into account under different views.
They could add exclusive items from alchemy into GoFusion.
They could add items needed for alchemy into GoFusion.
They could add recipes needed for alchemy into GoFusion....
On a sidenote, check your DC! They added charms in there and changed the gold payout too -- might be useful for any crafting smile
