There was something comforting about Arorangi. He was genuinely nice. She wasn't sure if he was immune to her flirtations but that wouldn't stop her. That part of her was natural. But for the moment she was happy to enjoy the calm and grounded man. She wondered if at some time in the future she'd have to leave such people by the wayside and if she would regret it.
Maybe a little.
Probably not.
"Well I heard ther'fixin it." She motioned to the schoolhouse again. "I heard America talkin about it. And Taym I think." She just wondered what they could use it for. They weren't bringing kids here.. and there seemed to be plenty of meeting rooms and conference rooms up in the main buildings. "Maybe just to keep them busy."
She urged them to keep walking past a destroyed building that may have been a small shop and towards the opposite end of the town. It was a lot like how she imagined small towns, one single road that just ended at some point, bordered by jungle.
"You seen any of tha monsters lurkin around here?" Cee was forced to look up to see Aro's face. "What kinna s**t did'joo see before you came?"
