Amelia waited as Fiona contemplated her answer, taking a moment to sip her tea while the bright-haired girl struggled. She hadn't meant to make the question so difficult, certainly not when they were mostly alone, but then, Amelia hadn't just blurted out the truth to others she had suspected were Dreamers, either.
In response to her enthusiastic question, Amelia chuckled with a slight nod, and behind her was the unmistakable sillhuette of a blonde woman with wings, smiling as she also nodded at Fiona, though she would disappear from sight of the girl turned her head.

"Well that's neat." Fiona said quietly. She wasn't really all too sure what to say, but she knew there had to be more than just her other friend that she had made at the library. She turned a little to look at the other woman a little more straight on and swore she caught a shadow out of the corner of her eye. Perhaps it was her dreamcatcher's spirit. "So, what's your name then? If you don't mind..." She trailed off a little.
The young girl cast a quick glance to her boss, who had shifted himself in the chair, released a loud snore as he settled back in and continued to nap. Sometimes Fiona felt bad because he worked so much and so hard, and he was always exhausted. She wished she could help more, but she knew it was good enough help just to be here on time every day. It was a bit of an awkward place for this conversation, but Fiona was intrigued now. She gazed out the window for a quick moment, distracted, watching people walk hurriedly down the street in the autumn chill.
Turning back to the other, she again felt as though she had caught a glimpse of a shape out of the corner of her eye, but she couldn't be too sure. Though now that the other had admitted to being a dreamer, she knew she wasn't wrong in her assumption of what it had been. Fiona knew that Beulah wasn't quite to that stage yet, though her presence was getting stronger, and the dream that Fiona usually had about her had become a little different.

At this point, Amelia couldn't justify not giving Fiona her own name in return. The girl was active and cheeful enough that suggested she wasn't suffering under the weight of a Nightmare, though Amelia didn't see anyone else in the shop. Then again, it had taken her several months to start noticing Nu'eth. Or was it that several months had passed before the woman began appearing now that Amelia was awake? She'd never seen the Oneiroi in her dreams, but she'd swear that she heard the elf in them.
"A--" She stopped, jumping at the sudden eruption of snoring that filled the room. Once she realized that it was only the man in the nearby chair and her heart rate returned to something resembling normal, Amelia nodded and tried again.
"Amelia. It's nice to meet you, Fiona." And it was nice to know that part of what sparked her curiosity about the girl was probably the fact that she was a Dreamer like herself.

Fiona nodded at Amelia, pleased to seemingly be making another new friend. Well, hopefully. She had so many questions to ask the other woman, but she was unsure a little of how to go about it.
"How long have you had yours for then?" She decided that was a good start. She knew that not all of the spirits that came with the help of granny and her dreamcatchers were as pleasant as Beulah, so she didn't want to pry too far into it. Though Amelia seemed stressed a bit, she didn't seem to be the type of stressed that came with a less-than-well-meaning companion.

Again Amelia glanced around the room, making sure that no one else was goimg to enter the cafe or that the man in the corner might wake. It was hardly a conversation other people should walk in on, and trying to explain it to a non-Dreamer would quickly become messy.
"About six months, maybe a bit longer," she admitted after another moment. It felt like a lifetime ago, as though she'd been a different person before Nu'eth started poking around in her dreams. In a way, it had been another lifetime; she'd certainly been a different person then.
'I do not going "poking around,"' the Averial said with a huff, though Amelia was the only one to hear her. Her lips twitched at a hint of apology before covering the near-smile with another sip of tea.
"How about you?" She didn't think Dreamers could be so young, though it made sense. After all, everyone dreamed, right?

The young girl was happy that seemingly, other dreamers she was beginning to meet were rather open about their catchers. At least with fellow dreamers. She hadn't met anyone yet that was not a fellow dreamer that she would have felt comfortable explaining to. All this chat with Amelia was kind of making her long for another visit to Granny. Perhaps she would go soon. In the back of her head, Beulah pushed for the thought; Fiona figured that her fae companion was likely able to communicate with Granny from square one, and maybe she wanted to visit as well. In the last few weeks, Beulah's pull had become stronger, and she had been coming to Fiona in the dream rather than just showing her domain, more often.
"Oh, I see. I don't even remember how long I have had mine, really. Time goes by kind of strangely for me sometimes." The bright-haired girl looked at her feet for a moment and shuffled awkwardly. When she wasn't working, she was on her own in her little shack, and some days she didn't leave if she didn't want to. Though, there was plenty of books around to keep her busy, and Fiona's regular haunts did not extend much past her little tiny home, the library, and the coffee shop anyways. Even when she wasn't working, she could often be found here indulging in the perk of free drinks and plenty of constantly rotating books to choose from.
"Maybe about the same amount of time though. Lately, my dreams are becoming more vivid." She admitted, a bit shyly.

Amelia chuckled faintly, watching Fiona shift on her feet as silence filled the cafe once again. She nodded as the girl mentioned she felt her dreams and the pull of her Oneiroi getting stronger, but didn't elaborate on her own experiences. She was hardly an expert, and dreams were often personal; Oneiroi knew those dreams. With no way of knowing if the dreams were about sensitive topics, she didn't pry.
"That makes sense. I don't know how long they are here, but the impression I got was that we should expect them to."

"Well, I guess it's alright. It's kinda just like having another friend..." Fiona trailed off, she hadn't really considered that maybe all of the dream spirits might not be as kind and loving as Beulah, "For me, at least." She kind of bit her lip a little and shrugged. It was a bit strange having the same dream all the time and that maybe she talked to herself sometimes, or it seemed like it at least, even to her.
Sometimes, Fiona really wondered if it was all in her head, but meeting other dreamers helped to squash those thoughts, and so she was thankful for it. She glanced at the clock and noticed that it was nearly time to start closing up shop for the day, but she didn't wanna kick out her new acquaintance. The boss was still asleep anyways, and she figured he would be alright with her being hospitable to a new customer. She could always clean up and wake him up later, anyhow. There wasn't much to do since it had been a slow day.
"There's some questions I'd like to ask to Granny, and maybe to some other dreamers, I'm a little shy about it though I guess, it's kinda strange...right?" Fiona laughed a little again and scratched her head, "You know, you're the second one I've met besides myself. But none of the others are so young, so I don't know why I was chosen..." She trailed off a bit again, pushing her hair away from her face. She decided to sit in the chair she'd been leaning on.

Amelia nodded as Fiona admitted to wanting to speak to Granny again, smiling as she recalled feeling the same way, herself. Some days it was hard to believe that she had another person, in a way, following her and aware of her life, including the parts Amelia would rather not have shared with anyone.
She looked down at her watch as the girl shifted and glanced around the cafe, blinking in surprise at the time displayed on the worn face of her watch. Was it really that late already? She'd be lucky if she wouldn't be, at this rate.
"I'm sure she'd be happy to talk to you again," she assured Fiona as she stood, glancing around herself to locate the station with "to go" supplies so she could cap her tea and be on her way.
"I'm sorry, Fiona, but I have to go now. I'll stop by later this week, okay?" The smile, this time, was more friendly than before. She looked less like a polite customer service worker and an actual person.

The young girl felt bad for glancing at the clock, she couldn't help but feel like Amelia's eyes followed her motions. She didn't want to make her feel rushed or anything, though it seemed like she had somewhere else to be anyways. It was getting late after all. Either way, Fiona was happy for a new acquaintance, even if she was a bit older. A friend was a friend either way, and she hoped Amelia would become one. As an orphan, Fiona had never really took advantage of any opportunities to make 'friends', she thought it would just be too difficult and she preferred to keep her personal life to herself, but other dreamers seemed to be sent to her somehow, and so she figured it was okay to befriend them.
"Okay, well...if you want to borrow the book, " She paused for a moment and gestured toward the book Amelia had chosen, "Or if you want to leave it for next time I can hold onto it for you?" She grinned a little at the older girl, "I've got a bunch of bookmarks around here, too, I can grab you one? And perhaps a lid for that...?" She inquired, still grinning as she again brushed her bright colored bangs from her face.
"But it was really nice to meet you, and I'd be happy to talk again." Fiona said sweetly with nod.

Fiona's enthusiasm was starting to become overwhelming, though Amelia supposed that was part of being young; so much energy and so many questions.
"A lid would be great, thanks. We'll see if the book finds another home in the meantime." she couldn't say how soon she'd be back at the cafe, but the brunette was willing to bet it would be sooner rather than later.
