Jake couldn't help but laugh nervously at that fact.
Well, he supposed dragons did tend to hoard stuff and Armagnac was kinda like a dragon, right? Still, it was better to be on that dragon's good side than bad, and if felt possessive, then fine, he could live with that. Besides, if Sherry was happy, that's all that mattered.
"I'm glad to hear that."
He smiled, and swung back.

Her swing had thrown him off-balance, so he had barely nicked her shield.

Sherry blushed. Straight up, full on, color in the cheeks, 'did he really say that omg it's so sweet' blush. She even glanced away from his face, but not his limbs, since...Armagnac wouldn't fancy losing.
She wasn't sure what her smiling had to do with belonging to Armagnac...Oh. Sherry blushed even harder as she realized he'd been talking about making her happy.
And then she grinned, Armagnac's blade coming in for another swing. "So... how not pretty am I when I don't smile?" It was a joke, because if she didn't make one, well. She'd be flustered.

However, he had not expected that come-back, and couldn't help flushing also. Him and his big mouth.

At least she could still keep focus, while he was getting distracted with her teasing him and such. Goshdarnit, Sherry.

It was a great answer. It made happy warm fuzzies in her chest, and it made the blush creep down her neck a bit. She'd blame the comment for making her counterswing not have quite the force she wanted. Or maybe she should blame that solid hit of his.

It seemed he had given her a good reply, and he let out a sigh of relief. SAFE.
At her remark though, he couldn't help giving her a boyish grin.
"Oh? Just one?"
All the teasing.
Though, he hadn't forgot about the fight, and as his weapons glowed with a charge, he used it to strengthen his barrier. Distracted or not, Sherry was a pretty hard hitter.

"Mm," she was returning his grin, and she was still a fair bit pink, "One good one. Why? How many did you think it was worth?"
Deliberately, she stepped forward, putting most of what she could behind the blow. Armagnac was very, very satisfied with the taste of Fear.
"I bet we could work out a deal." Sherry had never been really GOOD at the whole flirting thing.

Well, that was a bust.
He should have expected as much though. Sherry could definitely hold her own and more in a fight, and he couldn't help but chuckle when she shattered the added barrier with one blow.
"That good, huh..."
He made an effort to seem as if he were pondering it.
"Oh? I'm listening."
He gave a return blow, curious to hear what she had in mind.

She had blushed and smiled a little at his chuckle. It made her happy to think he might be proud of her, or something, for that hit.
"It'll be very good," she said, putting more implication behind it than she meant to. Which was why she was glad for the distraction of his attack, even if minor.
She countered, focusing on the swing to hide her fluster. "Well, uh," she really had no idea where she was taking this. "How many kisses did you want?"

Neither did he.
What had started as a means of distraction and apologies turned into more distractions, blatant flirtations and... he had no idea where this was going. Not that... it was a bad thing.
He swung back, trying to make it seem like they were at least still trying to have a proper fight, even if both of them were clearly distracted.
"That depends. What's my range?"
Yah, he had no idea either.

She winced a little at his hit, both habit and starting to feel her shield weakening. She took half a step back, trying to appear thoughtful and aloof. Maybe.
"Well, you get one already..." Armagnac spun, and Sherry stepped forward again, the blade coming down. Not the best hit of the day, but a decent blow. "I'm willing to lose sleep to fulfill my end of the bargain though." She did her best to keep eye contact. Really, now that he'd assured her he was alright with things, mostly, the flirting would only get worse. Cause the moment it stopped, Sherry would want to run and hide.

Jake felt the blow to his shield, and while it could probably withstand a few more hits, he knew it wouldn't take long for the spar to end, though as of right now, it could be anyone's fight.
He tried to counter, slightly distraught by her words.
Lose sleep? That wasn't a good th... oh. Oh.
He couldn't help but turn bright red. Surely he hadn't meant it like THAT.
"Well, n-no need to lose sleep over it..."
Sherry wasn't the only one who wanted to run and hide. Seriously, what were they doing?

She caught that look, and she didn't know what to make of it. Making him blush had been her goal, supposed, because turn-about was fair play. But now he just looked... she wasn't sure. It could be embarrassment, flustered, worried... Not that a spar was the place for these kinds of things.
"What if I wanted to?" It was out of her mouth before she could stop it, so she followed it was another swing from Armagnac. Which was followed by her best smile. "I'm joking, Jake." Just a joke, no need...to turn her down.
This was why she never flirted. She did it wrong. So, so wrong.

He hadn't meant to upset Sherry, and immediately regretted his words.
"I didn't mean..."
Well, he supposed the both of them would have to stay up for something like that, so either way...
Getting into the momentum of things (and as a way to distract himself from saying even more things to upset Sherry or make her unhappy), he swung, not noticing his weapons were charged. Oh s**t.
The moment Sherry's shield shattered, Chester was desummoned as he caught her.
