"I wish I could be as sure of that as you are. I...I don't want to go through their things, Des, it means accepting they're really gone and there's no chance of ever fixing what I broke."

"You would have let them." Des said softly. Gabriel would have let them mainly because Des would have gently nudged him towards the idea every now and then. "You can tell me what they were like though. That way I know right?" The purple haired man's other hand came up and gently cupped Gabriel's cheek. "Angel, listen to me. Just cause they're physically gone doesn't mean they are gone from everything. You still have memories... you still have your love for them. It's going to hurt, but it will get better... I'll even go with you if you want. You don't have to do this alone."

Gabriel nodded slowly. "I'd like it if you came with me," he said, "it'd feel a lot easier to do it with someone else there." And he knew Des wouldn't ask too any questions about what of his things were left in the house. "You can...meet them that way, I guess, even if it is a little late."

"Then I'll go." He said softly. "It's going to be okay. We don't have to do it all today. Whatever you can handle." Even if it was just a small box or two. "Oh sweetheart... It's never to late to learn about someone. Better late then never right?

Desmond just rubbed Gabriel's arms. "You can tell me all kinds of stories about what you and your parents did." He knew that once Gabriel got started on them, he'd be bouncing around reenacting the whole thing. "I would like to see where you grew up though."

"So we'll go tomorrow, then?" Gabriel asked, softly. It would be a burden off his houlders, he supposed. And maybe he could finally really lay them to rest. Even if it meant accepting they were gone.
