"Oh nice!" She said excitedly, galloping toward the fallen tree. Coming to a slow stop once she reached it she turned to Takumi. "You think it will hold our weight?" She stepped on top of the tree and heard creaking. Slowly she made her way to the middle of it. "I think we are safe to cross." she smiled, as the tree creaked underneath her.

Takumi thought for a moment at Lycana's question, but found it unnecessary to answer as she found out for herself. "I wouldn't trust it holding both of us at the same time, so I'll let you finish crossing first," he called out to her, not completely trusting the creaking tree trunk. After all, he didn't exactly want to drown them both by being hasty.

Slowly, and carefully Lycana made her way toward the other river bank. She looked down at the river. The currents were not very strong but it could definitely carry her downstream if she were to fall. As she was nearing the other bank she looked back at Takumi smiling, "See? Not bad..."
And then she heard a loud crack and the next thing she knew she was plunging down into the cold water!

Takumi cursed under his breath as the tree trunk broke underneath Lycana. He started running downstream to see if there was anywhere that he could pull her out from. Just out of sight from where they had started, he found another, sturdier tree trunk that went out far enough for him to be able to reach Lycana. He carefully made his way onto it, waiting for Lycana to be carried downstream towards him.

The current was not bad but the stream was deep. She struggled to stay on the surface. She could swim, but she was an azrein after all. And they were not made for swimming. In the distance, she glimpsed takumi over on top of a tree log over the stream. Lycan started swimming toward and edge of the stream so that she could match her timing and location to takumi's as she about to pass right over him, she managed to catch takumi and was hauled to the top of the tree.
