Her words hit him harder than any attack she could have pulled on him, they were an emotional sucker punch and it left him reeling, his eyes widening a little. "I..." he looked around, the frenzied, yelling faces of the men and women in the crowd, he snapping more out of that weird mental fog he'd been in, the anger and lust for the fight draining from him suddenly. "....I don't deserve you...I am a shitty husband..." his words were low, but he was sure she'd hear him -if barely- over the crowd. "I understand if you don't want me to be your husband anymore." Around him he could hear the screams of FIIIIIGGGHT!!! TAKE HER DOWN!!! and CLEAN HIS CLOCK! YOU CAN DO IIIIT! "Come on babe, take your best shot" there was a sad smile as he sank into a defensive crouch. Had he lost the best thing to ever happen to him because of his break down? It seemed like he might have.

Solange wasn't sure if it was the general mood shift or her pent up frustrations that caused it, but she was crying. The whole situation pissed her off. The fighter could hear the cat calls and snickering when those closest to the scrap caught side of her tears, and it took every last inch of will power not to strike out at them.
He was just going to give up?! Solange snapped and rushed him, aiming a right hook at his jaw. She didn't let up there though. Grabbing him by the shirt front before he would have fallen away she laid into a few more times before grabbing his collar in both hands to hold him up eye level. "Dammit Urban!" She shrieked. There was a literal fire building up around her.
"The man I married wouldn't roll over when he was wrong. He picked his sorry a** up, and got his s**t in line. You flip out over just about damn near everything, and yeah, I didn't deserve to put up with that, but I did deserve the strength it took for you to fix your s**t every time you broke something. Or someone." She shook him, fire coming through her finger tips.
"Get your a** up and fight, Urban!" Her voice was more desperate then, as if she were trying to dig through the muck surrounding his mind to grab onto her man and hold him tight. "Come home." Physically he had been there with her, but not mentally. Mentally he had left town long ago.

He hated that she was crying, she wasn't the type to cry. He hated even more that the people crowded around were jeering at her for it, and it increased his anger at....well everything. It was burning away the fog from his mind which was a good thing really. He'd been lost in some gauzy, misty limbo for far too long. Urban could feel the Burn being caused by her fire and flames but he ignored it despite the pain, it was good to feel such pain as far as he was concerned. Too long had he been numb. No this was a very good thing as far as he was concerned, strange as it was to admit it. Her desperate tone told him just how far he'd pushed her through all this, how much strain he had put on her, and he felt ashamed, rightfully so really. Still he grinned, and there he went darting in close as it he were going to use Attract, though he didn't. As he got close, there was a growl in her ear.
That had to be a good sign, that he was using his head, to think of the higher prize money she'd get for taking him down, an opponent who was obviously larger than her. He'd heard the betting going on, the money placed on him winning. How if she won she'd earn a hell of a lot of money.
He also figured she'd probably enjoy kicking his a**. He deserved it he knew.

Lirilei Listening to "The Horror of Our Love" by Ludo. If Solange didn't love Urban she wouldn't have put up with his s**t for this long. She had suffered through his harassment at the club before they even dated, his aggression and outbursts, and his total breakdown. But she knew, just knew, that somewhere in all of that murky water was her Urban. He was more pure in more regards than a fresh snow, but it felt like she was the only one who could see it.
She was ready to drop when he first started talking. The woman was so sure her husband had given up, but then he turned it around in the time it took her to catch her breath. Solange could have cried from the sheer relief she felt. "I love you, baby." She was too choked up to say much more, but her crimson eyes were glistening with joy.
So much joy that she felt almost a little bad when she brought his head down on top of her knee and kicked him to the side with a roundhouse. Solange was laughing, cackling even, with an almost manic glee as she kicked the s**t out of him. Each kick was harder than the last, and it was only when the M.C. pulled her off him that she stopped.
"Snips has it!"
"What the ********?!" "No way!" "Oh man, that was my insurance money..." "...My wife is going to bust me good.."

If Urban was aware of just how highly he was held in Solange's regards he might have wept for her unwavering, undying faith in him especially after lately. He'd checked out and left it all on her shoulders. "I love you too babe, now end it."Urban was amazed by the power she had when she lit into him, head bouncing off her knee easily, and it sending him for a slight loop, a groan as he was kicked to the side..and then repeatedly kicked. He tried to rise and collapsed back to the ground coughing hard and spitting out some blood to the floor. Snips had it alright. Damn but she was glorious. He rolled to his back and grinned up at her while laying there wiping a hand over his bloody mouth before the MC and another guy were hauling him to his feet, and from the corner of his eye he watched them paying Sol. Good, she deserved that money. This also explained why she kept coming home roughed up and he laughed a moment, only to groan and spit out more blood and part of a tooth. He didn't complain and merely let himself be moved through the crowd and to an exit. Here was good, he'd wait for her and they could go home together.

Under normal circumstances Solange wouldn't have delighted in the groans made by her Husband, or the blood he spat up on the floor.
Today was anything, but normal.
Even before she was payed she reveled in the cheers. Even the booing held a certain sway over her; they were pissed, because she was able to finally get through to him. To her it was even more of a victory because while she wasn't stronger than him physically, Solange held the upper hand mentally.
Solange pocketed her money, snatched her coat from a pipe on the wall, and slipped her bruised arms into the sleeves while she walked out to where she knew Urban to be waiting. She limped openly; her ribs were bruised and her legs all, but melted wax. When she saw him she smiled, and slipped her arms around his waist, snuggling into his side.
"Guess what, babe? We can pay up the rent for a couple months~"

Urban had spat a little more blood on the ground, and wiped a sleeve over his mouth as he waited for Solange. As tall as he was, and now as far back as he was he stood over the crowd and could see her with some ease. Once she reached his side and her arm went around his waist he grinned and bent his head giving her a kiss. "Good. I've certainly been worthless in keeping us afloat. About time you kicked my a** and knocked me back out of the fog." his words were gentle and he squeezed her gently. "So, do you even still work at the club? This seems to pay better..." words murmured some. "Up to you if you want to keep doing these fights or not. But I'm back babe, and I'm sorry I checked out on you. It'll all be okay from now on though, really." it was just a feeling he had.
