"Maebe. We ought to get handcuffs." And she was fully unable to keep anything resembling a straight face as Otto kicked off the blankets and burst out into peals of laughter, muffling them against her pillow while Maebe shifted to take what she wanted from Otto. He would have had a fight on his hands if he'd actually tried to kick Maebe out in the form of both girls shifting over to the open, much cooler (temperature-wise) bed not far away. Cami would have been very put-out to have to move, however, so she was glad it had not been the ultimatum. Because she'd been lost in thought Maebe's kiss came as a surprise, albeit not an unpleasant one. More of a surprise was the request that followed and it warmed her in that special way that only the two of them were capable of doing. Burying her face against the blonde's neck for a moment she just breathed in the feel and taste of pure comfort before starting to trace idle patterns between Maebe's stomach and Otto's. "We didn't talk about this at all, did we? The Ancients. I was Isolation. You were all colors. Orange," Fingers lingered on Otto. "And pink." Now Maebe. "Other colors for other people but you were all on the other side of this bubble around me. Glass more solid than steel. I couldn't break it, couldn't even get through..." She remembered the colors swirling around each other, how much the pink and orange had mixed, and how she'd been both happy and pained to see it. Because there should have been her deep purple in there and there wasn't. Closing her eyes for a long moment against sudden tears she felt so stupid. "Anyway I dreamed about it. That I was isolated and couldn't save you guys from horrible things, that I'd chosen to close myself off, and it was the worst thing I've ever felt. This isn't, though." And as much as she could, her arm pulled the three of them together for a squeeze.

Embarrassed and shy, Otto was glad he was not in the centre like he was last time. He did loosen up, however, as Maebe stoke a kiss. She had a power to make him melt no matter how pissed or uncomfortable she made him with just a kiss. Her magic spell made him forget all her teasing, and the fact she was trying to rile them up in bed. All of them. In the same bed. At the same time. "Isolation?" Otto shook his head. "I really hope you ain't carryin' that around all the time. You know better. Maebe? Smack her for me. I can't reach." Cause his hand was still stuck. He forgave her only because of the group hug. He'd tried to close himself off so often. But having what he had now, he could never go back to that.

"Yes!" Finally, Cami was on board with her! Putting Otto in handcuffs would make all of this so much easier, and - Oh. She was joking. Maebe curled in tighter, and let out a nervous little laugh. "I was the Ancient of - " She held her tongue. She didn't think she'd been the one to choose what her ancient form had been, but it still wasn't something she wanted to advertise. Not to them. Of course, that just meant that she was making her ancient form just a little more reality based. " - Apathy." That wasn't as bad as the truth, but still sounded like her. "Honestly, my entire experience was a little boring." And that was exactly what you would expect, from a nightmare vision based off of apathy. She turned her head and grinned at Otto childishly. "I was pink." She rather enjoyed that Cami's vision had given her that particular color. But then she granted his wishes, bending her hand back to Cami and spanking her firmly on the a**. With a lingering grab. For good measure. "No isolation here." She noted, squeezing firmly.

Cami hadn't been expecting Maebe to take his comment seriously so when a hand came down hard against her a** she yelped before biting her lip. "Oh that's just nefarious of you, Maebe Grace. You know..." Stopping right there for poor Otto's sake she just kept right on talking. "And no not all the time it was magnified out of control because of the whole thing with that one dark corridor with the voices and..." Trailing off she let out a long sigh. "No isolation here." It was a firm agreement. "If, tomorrow, you guys want to hear my life story to understand why isolation was my thing then we can talk all about it but it'll make me cry and I don't want to cry right now." Fingers took up their patterns again, soothing her with the simple contact of skin against skin. "You two make me happy. Being here with you makes me so happy and I lost you for awhile there." Awhile being thousands of years that stretched her soul out so thin it had broken into nothing and been reborn as a god. An Ancient. Snuggling tighter in against Maebe so that the blonde was pushed up against Otto some more, she sighed happily. "So I'm going to snuggle and make the most of it."

Honestly, Otto enjoyed just watching them banter back and forth, giving Maebe a sassy nod when she bragged over her colour. He didn't care to share his own experiences. He didn't want to. But... they were his friends, and they had shared their bad dreams. He shared in the group cuddle as much as he could. "So Isolation, Apathy.." He wondered if this was concepts the universe gave them, or if it was an insecurity within themselves that grew like a bacteria. "I became and Ancient of Suffering. I think I need to re access myself or somethin' cause that's just pathetic."

"Suffering." She deadpanned. "No, Otto, that sounds about right. Especially since you can't seem to get rid of me." She pinched his stomach, and then rubbed the spot where she'd pinched. "I wonder if we should be worried, at all. Put us together for a minute. Isolation, apathy, suffering. We sure are a power trio. If we merged into one person, we would make the perfect supervillain." She paused, and let out a humming noise. "No, wait, we need homicidal intelligence. Quick, somebody call Mimsy." bittiface super head problems today sorry nesshime for how short and shitty this is ;;

"Boy, aren't we the cheery bunch of ancient gods." Cami's voice was quiet but not subdued, thoughtful. Cami didn't want to be alone. Otto didn't want to suffer or perhaps had suffered too much. The 'too much of a bad thing' made sense for what she had felt inside of that bubble. Maebe suffered from too much apathy? Well there Cami and whatever force created Ancients could absolutely agree. As neutrally as possible she tried to share this opinion. "Maybe it's that we've had too much in our lives and need to just sorta...clear it out. I can't think it was a horrible thing so maybe it was like hey guys you should really work on this thing, you know?" And then Maebe had to go and remind Cami that not only did Otto not like her semi-sister, Maebe was an open Enemy of the State as far as Mimsy Morris was concerned. That subdued Cami enough that she sorta lay still, trawling through her mind for something to say to break the tension of her own personal bad moment. "Are you sure you don't want Rep instead? Or how about that Jan guy. Everyone seems to think he's brilliant, sneaky murderous. Mimsy's supposedly obvious about it and I'm not sure how I feel about being an obvious murderer." Because she'd forgotten, the universe was reminding Cami quite neatly that she was in a hell of a position that was going to take some rather creative twisting and turning to get out of. But, for now, she was still happy. So she lightly pressed a kiss to Maebe's neck and snuggled. Because she could.

"Ooooor we could not have a murderer?" Otto suggested hopefully. "I mean, we're depressing enough as is." He did like Cami's theory though. That world told them something. An overabundance of a certain something they each held. Said thing was holding them back, maybe. "Okay, so like. Group pact." Otto freed his good arm from underneath Maebe. He held his hand out over Maebe as the centre of their promise huddle. "No more isolation, apathy or suffering. All hail ******** positivity or some s**t. I mean.. as long as we got each other, what do we have to worry about, right?"

Otto always made an important moment feel a little lighter than it should, which was a blessing for Maebe. Taking this too seriously would have made her hesitate, which could have been insulting to the duo that had adopted her into their lives so fervently. And she didn't want that. So she put her hand on top of Otto's, and tried not to think about how much her heart hurt when he said as long as we got each other. "Okay, but if either of you say that all for one line, I'm actually leaving."

That was a dare. That was a Goddamned dare and Maebe knew it. Preemptively hooking her leg over Maebe so that the blonde couldn't get up without shoving Cami onto her (very damaged, very painful) back, the redhead put her hand in. "All for one, then." Her smile, even with just the small lamp Otto always left on, was obvious and her eyebrows waggled. "I agree, though. Wholeheartedly. As long as we have each other we can come out of anything." Anything. Perhaps it was vain hope on the trainee's part but they'd survived the Tower. They were only going to get stronger. Together.Because it seemed the perfect moment and because she wasn't really afraid to say it, Cami couldn't help but adding on at the end, addressing the two most important people in her life. "I really love you."

Cami did the thing. Otto freed his hand just to smack her nose for it. Cheesy little cupcake, that Cami. Cheesy Cupcake Cami, however, used a very strong word on them. A word that made Otto flush red and want to sink into the fortress of blankets and make inhuman noises. He settled on setting his hand down on Cami's, giving it a light squeeze. He loved them both too. He just did not have the peace of mind or courage to come out with it.

The moment Cami said it, Maebe did try to wiggle her way out of the bed. It was a valiant attempt, but Cami had clamped her down with one leg, and pushing her off completely was out of the question. Maebe was not going to risk hurting her just to get away, but she still wiggled like a champ. "That's it." She growled, amusement slithering into her voice. "Let me off the boat. This is my stop." She continued to wiggle, all the way up until it happened. The L word. Maebe stopped wiggling, and froze in an awkward position, tensing up while she waited. If Otto had pronounced his love for them as well, she probably might have risked Cami's back to get out of there. But he was as silent as her, and she wanted to wrap her arms around him and hug him until he popped. She wasn't prepared for this moment, and captured in a bed between the two would have set off her fight or flight instincts far too early. Otto's inability to express his feelings tempered Cami's inability to hold them back, perfectly. Maebe snuggled down into the bed, as far as she could go, until the covers covered her face. From beneath the covers, she piped out shakily. "That's because you're cah-razy."

Hey! Otto's flick against her nose had her head jerking back slightly with a bit of a squeak, making her want to protest, but his squeeze of her hand silenced her. Both his reaction and Maebe's had been what she'd been expecting and, really, Cami wasn't sure if that was incredibly right or incredibly sad. Still, if there was one thing that she was used to the weight of, it was declarations of emotion that went unanswered. It wasn't like Damon. Not like him at all. The man she'd 'loved' had gotten angry, then exasperated, before walking out of her life entirely because that wasn't what he'd signed up for. That wasn't what he'd wanted out of her. Otto's hand was still in hers despite everything. Her own returned the squeeze, holding on tightly to his hand in a way that was firm but not at all painful. He was her best friend and she couldn't imagine he didn't care about her. Maebe had tried to escape, had subsided her squirming because no doubt it was hurting all three of them and she knew that (physically, not emotionally). Her feelings were somewhat more in question but that was alright, really, because Cami's were not. So there was nothing to do but lean down towards the gap of those covers, voice as saccharine and ridiculous as she could make it. "Crazy for yooooouuuu, Maebe Grace."

Otto liked this. The girls and their silly banter made him feel comfortable. He smiled in the dim light, letting his eyes close as he hand in Cami's loosened. Sometimes his bed felt crowded. But times like these, it was just perfect. It made his heart feel light, and his head feel fuzzy. Perhaps to their disappointment, Otto started to fall asleep again.

That was an unfair move and Cami knew it. Using her middle name was one of Maebe's few triggers, and Cami looked about ready to start trouble. So she slid out of the covers, and crawled up to press her body flush against Cami's, roaming her hands freely. "And I'm crazy for you, too." Now that, she could freely admit. Maebe was confident that she was actually legitimately crazy about both of the people in this bed, and while that should have scared her, it just seemed about right. Otto's breathing was slowing down behind her, and she turned her head just enough to watch his eyelids flutter as he faded back into sleep. Her hands disappeared where none of them could see, letting Otto get his much needed rest. She whispered, very faintly against Cami's cheek. "How quiet can you be?"
