Time slows down for everything except for you. This lasts for the rest of the event. While you can understand what people are saying, it is also very slow. You can move at 2x the speed of everyone else, meaning you only have to wait a 5 OOC minute cooldown instead of 15. You can also attack 2x in a row where applicable.
The door lurched, the room shifted, his stomach went out -- and then Ever stood in another room, stumbling forward a couple steps before he caught his balance and settled, breathless, in the middle of the room. There he paused, eyebrows knitted, because now it hardly seemed like anything was moving at all, the rooms had stilled. Figures, in the distance, had gone slow, taking their time, moving like molasses as they stepped toward their own doors. Perhaps if someone had been close enough to talk to him he would have realized the change. As it was, he'd just move forward, carefully, frowning, already uncomfortable with the fact that nothing seemed to have happened.
Surely, after the last room, there should have been magic, here. But then, the door was shifting again, as he reached out slowly to take its knob...

Room 7 > back two steps = room 5 still moving at 2x speed, and can roll every 5 min!
This time, the sensation of going through the door was worse. Ever could feel the way it bottomed out, and when he got through, he dropped to his knees for a minute to sit and recover, wishing in this moment that he'd had the sense to bring his cigarettes with him. That would have settled his stomach, certainly, and cleared the fuzz out of his mind. It would have put him back to rights.
Maybe he should have eaten something, too.

Eye looked between at Medea and then at Charon, and she frowned what to do..What would happen to the clans if the high priestess was killed?? What would happen to her clan if the representative of death fell?? Eye watched as many of the other horseman ran into the strange new building, she had little choice but to follow. No matter what she decided she had to move forward, she couldn't stand back and not help.
She took a deep breath and moved toward the building and others who were entering the building...

"I'm going to throw up." It was a mumble, low, miserable, as the room shifted under him. At least the movement was still slow, not jerking around so much as lazily swapping places. Ever closed his eyes to take a moment here while Amory laughed at him.
It was as though the nightmare never faded. Edel lurched forward, staring straight into the dark ticking abyss below. A subconscious reflex must have saved her from falling, and she found herself literally rooted to the ground by her ice.
The images had stopped twisting, and she was feeling quite the same person again. Edel wondered if the haunted house had somehow mutated itself into this tower, recognising the nature of the rooms to be quite similar to those she had encountered on that disastrous field trip.
She was alone this time.
The ghoul spied the exit across the larger space, figuring that she must get through the series of smaller rooms to get there. It didn't quite help that the movements of the smaller rooms were irregular and unpredictable, though she would see herself making some progress after hopping on and off two of rooms that floated past her.
Eye moved through the first room, a feeling of hunger tearing at her stomach, she was glad to leave that strange room behind as she moved into the 5th room. She sighed in relief as the feeling of hunger left her, she looked around at the dark stones, her pale eyes taking in the features of the stones. She had barely entered and already it was clear there was great magic in this place, death only knew what the high priestess would do with so much power and magic. What would become of the clans with this new tower??

This time, when he came to land, he was sick, and god help whoever came next. He tried to get it over the edge, leaning against the door as he retched, but there was only so much he could do. At least there wasn't enough in his stomach to make a particularly big mess.

[ ROOM 16 ]
13 + 3 = 16 still moving at 2x speed, and can roll every 5 min
"I need a glass of water." Up until now, Ever hadn't quite realized how motion sick he could get; he spent so little time in cars or trains or busses, instead walking or indulging in the subway, that he couldn't even remember what it had been like to rattle around in the back of a car -- and there, at least, he'd been able to look out the window and see the greenery pass by. He swiped at his forehead, drawing in a shaky breath, and clutched at his dagger.
"I really need a glass of water."
// Just go back to that other room, then. // This also made Ever shudder. Maybe he could live without.
By now the ghoul knew better than to assume that the rooms were all going to be just empty. Edel armoured up with a layer of protective ice and braced herself for any danger that awaited beyond the next door.
Nothing.
Frazzled and a little crazed, the ghoul swung her sword of ice around the room, challenging whatever that would come to come. There was only silence, and the room proved itself to be empty.
Eye sighed and brushed a piece of her pale blonde hair behind her ear, she had tired to move forward but merely found herself back where she started. "Oh dear.." she said to herself She sat down to think a moment, before trying to move forward once more..

Ever could see others in the distance, now, and so he paused with his hand on the door and his eyebrows pulled together to consider how they moved, the molasses-slow steps the took. Finally, finally, he realized how fast he must be moving in comparison, and why the rooms had slowed in their shifting, as well.

The exit: he wasn't sure how he knew what it was, but he did know -- and so, this time, Ever didn't even pause. He'd reach for the door to step out without looking back. And as he left, his strange increased speed melted away. He could feel as it left him, returning him to his normal, somewhat-clumsy self, and he made a sound, disappointed sound.
[Room 13] The ghoul didn't believe in luck. In the past three years in Amityville, she had faced enough to know that she hadn't been blessed with any of that. Memories of the hunter encounter floated to the surface of her consciousness which she tried to shake aside.
Not now.
Edel seized the opportunity as the next door revealed itself, making a measure leap over the gap between the two rooms. It was a safe landing in another empty space.
Keep calm. The ghoul assured herself that she knew what she was doing.

Of course it couldn't be so easy as to just kill the Horsemen, destroy the tower (or not, Evan wasn't really sure how important it was, but anything that suddenly grew out of the ground like that was probably not something they wanted to leave standing), and go home. That was fine. He had his orders, and he liked to hunt. Maybe if he took the time to be thorough, he'd run into some likely prey.
Evan walked into one of the labyrinthine chambers of the tower, his fingers twitching as they itched to summon his weapon. He would wait, though, until he found something to use it on, just in case he needed his hands free. He didn't know what to expect, after all.
He certainly didn't expect to take a single step into the room and suddenly be in freefall. He cursed in surprise as he was dropped the floor fell out from beneath him, dropping him into another room devoid of anything but a door. The landing wasn't soft, but he didn't seem to be injured. Didn't look like there was anyone else in there with him, either. Well, he had only just begun; maybe his luck would change.
Eye was starting to get dizzy going in circles, she was sure she would fall on her bottom, if she moved forward just to end up where she started again. She sat down heavily wondering over the wisdom of coming into this accursed building. She grabbed the bottom of her bear skin cloak and started petting it to comfort herself in this time of frustration.
