"Shut up," said Avalon to the Mercury page. "I'm only going to kill you if he doesn't do what I say." He hesitated, and she narrowed her eyes over the page's shoulder. But he did let Kerberos go, and Avalon followed his trajectory with her eyes.

She considered, for a long moment, thrusting her hand beneath the Page's sternum and killing her anyway. A General of the Negaverse was not a dog for a lowly Knight to order around. Babylon was so very good at disappearing, though… and she was not sure she would ever find him again if he left. That, she would never condone.

Avalon released her grip on the page and shoved her away from Kerberos, away from Babylon. She closed the distance between her and her corrupted senshi in three steps, arms closing tight around him--probably too tight to be comfortable, but he was hers. Hers! And she would not leave him here for Babylon to harm. "Disappear, then," she said. "I'm gone."

And just like that, she and Kerberos were--gone.

Babylon offered her a smile, and an arm to lean on, if she were so inclined. He remembered how disorienting it was to power up for the first time, and if he could make it easier on her then he wanted to. "So, uh," he said. "My name's Babylon knight of Mercury," he said, "And I'm kind of like a wizard. And you're a page of Mercury and you're kind of like a wizard too. Maybe we should, uh, sit down?"

He didn't sense Avalon and Kerberos anymore, which meant they'd gone pretty far away. In fact, for the moment the area felt clear of chaos signatures. Which was good, because he needed some time to work things out with the new page.

"How about we sit down?" he suggested, pointing to some crates stacked against the side of the alley. "Do you - you might, like, sort of sense that you've got a new name now? To go with the outfit? Do you feel anything like that?"
