Adalaide mulled over the information that her friend shared with her, three weeks! It was both exciting to think about and a little bit daunting - Adalaide couldn't even recall being more then maybe one night away from her family, oh sure sometimes she was with her fathers herd and sometimes her mothers but both were family and both were what she considered 'home'. Going somewhere completely new and different was something else entirely.
Still - she wasn't about to let those misgivings get in the way of an exciting trip and some fun time with her friend, sure she would be nervous but she was sure that once they got on the trail she would get over it and the excitement would take over. "Should we go and ask them now?" She asked Evangaline, suddenly eager to get things rolling before she either chickened out or something happened that would make the trip impossible.

"Well if we don't go and ask them then we will never get around to taking you on this adventure." She said with a laugh. Honestly, she hoped that they would agree to letting Adalaide go on this trip. Being an important member of a herd had it's drawbacks but certainly having that same important member get out into the world and gain some experiences and knowledge that could only be found outside of what they were used to would be beneficial. In fact, that would be her argument should they not immediately agree to the idea. Evangeline may not have a lot of experience with herds but she knew ways to get what she wanted and certainly a trip like this would benefit her friend in a number of ways. "Lead the way."

"True enough!" Adalaide exclaimed with a slight laugh, the question now became - just where was she going to find someone to ask permission? It was hard to tell just where her father and mother would be on any given day, they had meetings and training and other herd relation things to take care of and while she had never resented them for being so busy...it did make it hard once in a while. Normally she would have just gone to ask Ironforge but he was currently away from the herd on some mission or another along with most of the higher up Knights, the only ones left behind were Zhevra and the guards. None of them held a high enough rank to give her permission for such a trip.
She supposed that meant she would just have to track down one of her parents and after a few moments of thought and hesitation while she tried to recall any comments she had overheard about their plans for the day she finally turned towards the little grove that was often used for meetings, it was secluded and peaceful and mostly private - a good place for quiet meetings. Hopefully they wouldn't be in the middle of one causing them to wait. "Lets check the meeting grounds first." She suggested , picking up the pace a little bit. "Hopefully we won't have to wait around while they finish up a meeting." She added after a few moments of thought and a glance towards the sun to gauge the time.
As they approached the grove the sound of muted voices met them and Adaliade's heart sank slightly. Great - it seemed they would end up having to wait after all. Upon arrival however her fears seemed to be unjustified, the voices simply belong to her parents in idle conversation after the meeting had concluded, indeed they were in the process of leaving the grove. "Okay, wait here and I'll go and explain." She told her friend before bounding forward with a pleased look on her face. It would better to seem really excited about this endeavor she had decided, and she would make sure to highlight all the important reasons why she should be allowed to go.
The conversation was long and animated, Adalaide found herself working every advantage she had ever learned over the years about dealing with her parents and for a few moments she was sure that the answer was going to be a resounding no! not on your life! ...but they surprised her, while they were worried, obviously, they also pointed out that she was getting older and seemed to think getting some experience beyond the herds boarders might be good for her. Of course there was no way that they were going to let her run off completely alone and she had to agree to take Zhevra along - but she had already figured that was going to happen anyways. With her parents blessing Adalaide made her way back to her friend with a giant smile on her face.
"They said yes!" She shouted in glee, practically prancing in place "But we have to take Zhevra."

Considering how long Adalaide was gone Evangeline worried that they would be turned down on the idea of the trip. She paced while waiting, occasionally glancing over towards where Adalaide was. Come on, let her go, she mentally willed of the knights. Finally when her friend returned and announced that they were allowed to go Evangline couldn't help but let out a shout of excitement. So they had to bring Zhevra, big deal, at least they were allowed to go. "This is going to be so much fun, now let's find Zhevra so we can get ready." She said before walking with her friend in search of their journey's escort.
