Aybliss learns Foul Play
It had been a few months since the male encountered his little challenger in the woods. Aybliss wasn’t too pressed about it. He was having fun...though there was something in the back of his mind that made him slow in his joy. His Trainer. She was getting worse according to the letters of the member of their Team who stayed with her. The others were out looking for a way to save her, Aybliss was told he didn’t have to travel out to them. He was debating if he should tell them to move her back to the house in the woods. Where they all spent so many good and happy times. He was sitting in the large tree that he remembered watching the stars with her and the others. He looked up to the full moon.
That dark feeling crept up his spine again, he shivered despite himself. Time for another run he supposed. Leaping off the branch he took to the ground running. The male easily clearing a few trees and large rocks that littered the forest floor. He ran to clear his head, or find a way to run from his emotions. Either way he wasn’t stopping anytime soon. As he ran the youth’s instincts spiked as he slid to a stop and flipped off to the side.
He saw a shadow loom in the forest. Slowly rising to stand he froze feeling his blood run cold. It was himself...what? Wait...he held his head. His Trainer. His Light...she was already dead. She died years ago. Why was he thinking she was still here? What was going on? Was he mad?
The youth let out a harsh growl as he fell to his knees. His mind was playing tricks on him, making him reread old letters he had seen exchanged between her and her elder brother. Screwing the words till he thought that she was still there. Aybliss howled as he felt that old angoy tear at his soul. When he lost Light. When he lost his family that he had known from Day One of his life. Everything changed, nothing remained as he knew it. He was alone with his Darkness. He was sitting in the middle of the woods, alone.
His shadow moved. Aybliss heard Light’s voice sharply,
“MOVE IDIOT!” He jerked leaping up and flipping backwards. Sliding to a halt his eyes glowed as he growled low at the shadow. Its eyes were void black, it's smirk all fangs as it slashed at the ground sending a wave of shadows at him. Whether this was real or another delusion his mind created he didn’t care. He felt his own shadows swell, gathering them he caught the wave and flipped it back. He blinked as the wave crashed into the shadow and it vanished.
He slumped to the ground. Weary. He was vulnerable out here. He had to get back home. Struggling to his feet he found his way. Feeling a slender figure supporting him the whole way there. He could hear Light scolding him, just like she did when he was younger and went at a pokemon that sorely thumped his hide. As he entered the house he turned seeing the murky image of a long haired female. He waved once before he saw her vanish.
He went back to where he left the book. Flipping a few pages he saw the move he just did. Foul Play. Turning the attack back on the opponent. Fitting. He slumped in a nearby chair and curled up. Crying himself into a light sleep.
