"Now that's not fair!" She protested, though the fact that she was grinning from ear to ear indicated that she was pleased the boy had decided to jump in, "Well, you know what?!"
Skittering back to the paper, she proceeded to tape together two sheets and cut out a long, pointed strip. Hurrying back, she pasted it onto Eva!Dolphin's head, turning herself into a narwhal.
"I'm the unicorn of the sea! I wouldn't try eating something with a giant spear on its forehead if I were you! But here--" Reaching down, she plucked up Caelius shrimp and stuck it right in front of Otto!Shark's mouth. "You can eat him because he sucks."

"Looks like meat on a stick to me." Otto huffed at her addition. The addition of Ship Caelius was also met with an obstinate tone. "Dude,you're gunna give me a stomach ache! Don't feed me garbage!" Yes, Caelius was garbage.

"Unicorn of the sea," She repeated firmly, folding her arms across her chest and grinning at him, "And too bad! I don't want to eat him either, so he's all yours! Somebody has to get rid of him, and you have the pointiest teeth!"

He took a red marker and swiped it across Shrimp!Cael's body.
"There. He met with an unfortunate end."

"Aww, but no one got to eat him!" Eva jut out her bottom lip, but let out a laugh and a bright "oh well" a moment later. At least this silly thing seemed to have distracted Otto for the time being.
"Here," She chirped, making a small fish and slapping it into Otto!Shark's belly, "This is Tenya! She's one of those cleaning fish! And um..."
Eva made another one, and pasted it onto Otto!shark as well. "This one is Molly! She's here because she literally helps clean!"

Otto was beginning to really see what Eva was doing. Maybe she didn't know about Nevada. Maybe she didn't know why he'd looked so sad. But she was showing him, in her own way, all of the fun and happy things he ought to focus on. His eyes scanned over the silly drawings they'd created, representing friends and foe. Maybe she hadn't really put that much thought in it at all. That was possible too. But it still felt important.
Silly, but important. Simple.
Otto gave a small, shy smile, his head tilted down as he tried to hide it. "Thanks, Eva."

The young woman practically radiated sunshine and sparkles, apparently very pleased with herself and her new additions to their fish-pseudo-mural-thing. Eyes bright, Eva opened her mouth to say something else, only to falter upon hearing Otto's thanks. There was a moment of silence, and then her expression relaxed, grin fading into an easy smile.
"Anytime. You know, the best Otto is a happy Otto, and seeing you happy cheers me up too!" She walked over to him and reached out, playfully clapping her hands against his cheeks.
"...Sooooo I'm cooler than you now, right?" She asked abruptly, meeting his eyes with an expectant look, "Even you have to admit that Narwhals are definitely more awesome than great white sharks."

Well, if it made Eva happy.. maybe he could stand to let his guard down a little bit. But only a little. Teeny, tiny little bit. He made a face at her as she clapped her hands to his cheeks, staring down at the dark haired woman. He smacked his own hands against her cheeks, squishing them so she made a silly face. "No. I'm still cooler. Great whites are way more badass than underwater unicorns."

Eva refused to let go--not until he agreed that she was the winner in this little stalemate. It was on, man, it was on.
"Nuh uh!" She responded, her voice slightly muffled from the way he was squishing her cheeks together, "Youff just gat pointy teef! Ahm MAJESTIC!"

"Majestic?" Otto snorted. "As if." He smooshed her cheeks more, swaying her head side to side. Toying with her. "You're about as majestic as a blind dog with one leg."

Jutting out her bottom lip, she squished the boy's cheeks a little harder in response to the swaying. "Escuse you, you don't thay dat to someone wif a COO' POINTY HORN."
There was a pause, and then Eva suddenly dropped her hands, situating them by the boy's sides instead. Without any warning, they began to wriggle against his sides. TICKLE TICKLE.

She paused, and Otto wondered if maybe he'd won. Clearly he'd been away from Eva's stubborn personality too long. She didn't give up. She formulated a mode of attack.
Tickling. It was super effective.
Otto burst into giggles, trying to hold her hands away from his very ticklish body. "NO! Stoppit oh my God, don't." Cheater!!!

Her fingers didn't stop, a wide, smug grin spreading across the girl's face as she finally gained the upper hand. "Okay, I'll stop! All you have to do is tell me that Eva narwhal is totally cooler than Otto shark! That's all!" TICKLE TICKLE TICKLE!
Whoever thought Eva was nice and sweet clearly hadn't experienced her ruthless tickle attacks.
THERE IS NO MERCY.

"Noooooo!!" He whined, unable to not laugh, to not grin. Tickling took over all control of such reactions. All he could do was curl into himself in a feeble attempt at defending himself, eventually sinking to the floor as a result. It took a long time, or at least it felt long to the boy who was at the mercy of Eva's fingers. Eventually, he caved.
"OKAY OKAY! Eva's dumb narwhal is cooler than a shark! Please, LEMME GO!!" He pleaded while laughing.
