SIR CHARLES JAMES WELLINGTON | SLYTHERIN ALUMNI James’ lips curled into a smile. “Hello Jane, my dear.” He said with a wink. “May I come in?” He asked, the words coming out in his smooth voice. He simply walked into the house without an answer. He looked around the small house, taking in every detail. “There is something of the utmost urgency I wish to discuss with you.” In one solid movement he pulled out his wand. “Imagine my shock when I realized your true identity. When I realized that I was not the only wizard in the family.” He practically laughed as he stared at her with his deep eyes. He moved into the living room and sat on one of the many gathered chairs. He took a deep breath, “I do have a fair amount of questions for you however. Things we must discuss with one another.” He said, his mind running through the million possible scenarios of what could take place over the next few minutes. Whether if he would succeed or not but he was sure to found out soon. “Though I must ask, is your lovely new husband here at the moment?” He said, still continuing to scan the area. He would hate to have come so far to see it fail here. “I was hoping to get in a word with him as well if that was possible.” He said, not completely lying. He would definitely be forced to speak with the young man at some point in these proceedings. .

 Jane quickly moved out of the way as James entered. She scanned him up and down trying to search him for the reason he was here. She could already tell something was off here and she didn't like it one bit. She had other things her mind needed to be focused on right now. Like the child growing inside of her! She sighed slightly and listened closely to each word that came out of his mouth. As she continued to study him her heart seemed to stop. Jane immediately recognized the object in his hand as a wand, and by the words that followed she was certain it was his. How in the hell was that even possible? She known the man her entire life and never once had the thought even occurred to her. She was so certain she was the only wizard in her family and yet here he was, it seemed now that all along her eccentric great-uncle was in fact a wizard. It all made so much sense, why he seemed to be the black sheep of the family, why his life had been such a secret, to her especially. She remembered as a child prodding the man for stories of his life. She'd finally gotten some bits out of him, he dismissing her as a young child. Of course he had never realized what he life would be like in the future, that she too would be found to have magic. The stories made sense now. Things that had seemed so fantastical, even when he hadn't be telling the full truth of it, now were part of her everyday life. "Uh of course." She muttered, her brain finally catching up. She wasn't sure her brain could handle all these surprises in one day. She was sure the next thing she would hear was that Darcy was actually a vampire or some other such nonsense. She followed him into living, mentally making a point that he had not been invited into the house at all. Jane watched his every move, seeing his whole person in a different light. "Can I get you some tea or something?" She asked, moving toward the kitchen with an answer because if he didn't want some she certainly needed it. She quickly put a kettle of water on and waited impatiently for it to boil. After a moment, she bit her lips and flicked her wand at the kettle. Almost immediately it began to whistle. She finished preparing the tea before she spoke again. "He's not actually, he's at work." She said moving back into the living room. She couldn't help but wonder why on earth Darcy was even slightly relevant to this conversation. She sat on the coach and rubbed her feet against each other like a strange nervous tick. "He'll be back later however. I'm sure he'd love to have a...chat...I'm sure..." She glanced around awkwardly and eyed her uncle uncomfortably.

SIR CHARLES JAMES WELLINGTON | SLYTHERIN ALUMNI James sat back in the chair as Jane busied her self in the kitchen. "Oh yes, tea would be lovely thank you." He watched her closely, trying to gauge her expression. He imagined what she must be going through right now, probably some of what he had thought of when he'd discovered this. He watched Jane as she moved back into the living room. He noticed a slight quiver through her hands, she did seem quite out of sorts today which probably was going to make his life easier. When she spoke up once again his lips curled into a smile. Without him here he was able to get to Jane without any other resistance from the outside. "I do believe that should be just fine." He said with a smile before grabbing out his wand once again. With a sudden flick of his wrist he picked it up and pointed it straight at Jane. "Well then, I do believe I have a proposition for you." His demeanor changed quite suddenly as he stepped forward. "You see my dear I have a little job for you to do for me. It made my life much easier when I realized who you were. It was even better when I saw who it was you were marrying. An auror in the family does wonders for me." He stepped back and forth a bit, his mind still racing."You see it's all very simple really. I need you to get me inside the Ministry. No one will think to question you entering, after all you are the brand new wife of one of the aurors. No one will even look twice." He did not have the luxury, there were people there, most especially in the DIMC offices which was precisely where he was headed. His was a face well known around the area and that was the precise reason he needed Jane. "What I need you to do is simply walk in...and well once you're there maybe cause a little damaged. A disturbance if you will. That is of course if you can use a wand correctly." He said looking over her. Knowing his luck she'd probably never even mastered a basic stunning spell. "I would suggest you agree."

Jane sat down once again and poured James a cup of tea before getting her own and talking a large gulp of the burning liquid, though it hardly fazed her. She actually considered putting a little...something in it, then of course it occurred to her that not only would it hurt the child but she didn't own such things. Her heart seemed to suddenly stop as James pointed his wand toward her. The atmosphere changed in an instant and Jane knew she was no longer safe. Her brain didn't even stop to process why this was happening but she was only concerned about protecting herself. She instantly stood up and went to reach for her wand but she quickly realized she was unarmed. She swore mentally, she kept her wand on her almost all the time and now when she really needed it it was gone. She must have left it behind in the bedroom since five minutes ago it was hardly on her mind. It was strange how things could suddenly change without a moments notice. She listened to his words with utter confusion. Why was he doing this? What was his intention? Why had she never known he was capable of something like this? Jane glared at him deeply, anger coursing through her. "Why in the hell do you think I would ever help you?" She practically spat at the man.

SIR CHARLES JAMES WELLINGTON | SLYTHERIN ALUMNI James rolled his eyes and looked at the girl with disdain. He stepped toward her, the feel of his arrogance filling the whole room. "You really are making this difficult on yourself." He said, making more movement toward her. He scoffed as she spoke and grabbed her arm forcefully, pulling her to him. "You will help me because if you do not, I am going to kill your husband. Without a second thought." Jane pulled away and he looked once again into her eyes before letting go. His composure returned suddenly as he moved the other way. Jane looked at her, her brow furrowed.
"Why?" She asked, her voice sad. "Why would you do this?"
He simply scoffed. "That is no concern of yours. All you are to do is enter the Ministry and stun anyone that stands in your way. It's really very simple, as long as you make sure I have no resistance everything will work out fine for you and your dear husband." He looked over the girl yet again. "I would not killing the two of you. Such messy business. Especially when it's in the family." He examined his wand and pointed it toward her. "Now my dear I must be going. I have a meeting with a certain Auror. You have one hour." He walked toward the door. "Oh, and I would suggest you put some actual clothes on. You look like an American." With that he left the house and flicked his wand, disappearing with a loud crack of thunder.
As soon as he was gone Jane fell to her knees and with a deep breath began to cry.

From underneath you could just make out her baby bump, but only if you knew what you were looking for. Jane was pretty sure it still just looked like a really round muffin top. She wasn't sure she had yet completely come to grips with the fact that she had a child growing inside of her right now, she was well over ten weeks along and it didn't get anymore normal. At least the vomiting had calmed down. She had a feeling the next six months would not be easy. Jane had yet to really announce it to anyone, she'd hadn't even told her parents yet but soon she was going to really start to show and that would be considerably more difficult. She supposed she'd just have to get over herself and stop being a chicken. There was no reason not to tell anybody, it wasn't like it was bad. She was married, in a good situation, they had money. It really was the perfect life to be raising a child. Jane just wasn't completely sure she was ready. She sighed and pulled on her jeans, having already needed to buy maternity pants if she wanted them to fit. That was the struggle of already having curves before you were pregnant. She sat down on her bed and pulled her shoes on, realizing it was already hard to bend over, getting dressed was already a chore. She shuddered to think of how it would be in five month. When Jane finally managed to get all her clothing on she collapsed into her bed. Would it really be so terrible to sleep for a few more hours.  XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Darcy was getting breakfast ready for himself and his pregnant wife (two words nearly a year ago he would have never imagined her would be saying but no can't almost go a day without) and bobbing his head to the sounds of music coming from the wizarding wireless radio. He had woken up early like he usually did and left Jane in bed while he got dressed and did his morning stretch and run around the beach. Since moving here he found that the best time to run was right in the morning when the sun was still rising over the ocean and the only sounds he would hear would be the slapping of tides on rocks and the crunch of his shoes on the sand. He usually didn't have much time to do it during the week days when he had work so he mainly did it on weekends like today. After his run he took a long hot shower and dressed casually before deciding to make those pancakes his love had been craving lately. Even thought she was only a few weeks along her hormones and started going into overdrive and now that her morning sickness was finally disappearing her appetite seemed to have been given an awakening. But he didn't mind; he'd do anything to keep her and the baby happy. A silly grin came onto Darcy's face as he flipped one of the pancakes and checked the bacon once more. A baby. They were having a baby. He was going to be a dad!

Darcy had clearly been awoke for awhile. That was no surprise. All that exercise and what not. Jane realized she should probably do a bit about that, it was apparently a good thing to actually do things during pregnancy but that sounded really...hard. The smell of pancakes instantly hit her nose and she was way more happy then she should be. She could just imagine the big fluffy pancakes topped with fruit and preferably some whipped cream too. Ooh. Or maybe top them with some ice cream, that was always fun. This cravings were getting more and more weird, it was ridiculous. At least no pickles were yet involved. Jane yawned and still wanted to curl up in a ball. She came into the kitchen and smiled brightly, "Hello love." She said, letting her hands rest on her stomach. "I smell fluff and bacon." Jane muttered with an awkward smile. She wasn't sure what fluff was exactly but it sounded yummy. She massaged the back of her shoulders and relaxed just the slightest bit. "I just want food. I mean this baby is really needy" She muttered looking back up at her husband. "Anyway, how are you this morning? Do anything fun while I was sleeping?" XXXXXXXXXXXXXXDarcy turned around hearing Jane's footsteps on the stairs and gave her a loving smile as she greeted him with her stomach resting on her beautiful baby bump. He leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to her head and gave his own quiet "Good morning" before he went back to the food. The bacon, he was happy to say, had crisped up nicely and he was lucky enough to move them out the pan before they burned. The eggs were still cooking, he never did like runny eggs, but the pancakes were coming along perfectly. He chuckled as she complained about the baby's neediness while he piled up the plates of food for the both of them. "I'm great actually, and if taking a run, a shower, and then cooking is fun then yes. I've been having bundles." he answered with a sly grin. When the plates were full of a slightly equal amount of food-obviously more for Jane since she was eating for two-he lead them over to the dining room table and pulled a chair out for his wife before he sat to join her. "What about you? How are you and our little squishy?" Darcy asked taking a glance at her stomach.

He was a blessing from the heavens. Marriage really was wonderful. She took a deep breath and let the smells of the kitchen fill her. He could cook too, which was good since she couldn't. Maybe that would change if with this baby, maybe some better motherly instinct. So yeah it was unlikely, but she could hope right? As the plate was put down in front of her she picked up her fork and dug in without a moment's thought. She smiled largely and relaxed a bit with the taste of the pancakes. She listened to the words he spoke with a nod. "Oh I'm sad I missed out." She said, with only slight sarcasm and a wink. Jane laughed happily with the mention of their 'squishy'. "Well I do believe our squishy is doing quite well. Mama on the other hand is starting to feel swollen but no more morning sickness so hopefully I'm preparing for smooth sailing." She said, crossing her fingers. "But hey, at least she gives me and excuse." Jane thought for a moment, "Or he." She added quickly, realizing she didn't have the slightest idea of gender...she took another bite, this time full of syrupy eggs. {Out of Character:}

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXDarcy snickered at Jane's sarcasm while inwardly beamed with pride at how she eagerly tucked into her breakfast. He may not have a lot of skills but he prided himself on two of his favorites: cooking and tinkering. Not to brag, but he liked to think he could fix just about anything with enough time and energy and even though he knew just about five recipes he could cook them all pretty well. His inner smile turned outward as his wife spoke about their child who he could visibly see getting bigger each and every day which just about filled his happy quota each time he saw it. He gave a tsk of sympathy as she spoke about her swollen feet but was happy her morning sickness had all but disappeared having felt terrible being woken up to her retching and knowing he could do nothing about it. "Aww, I'm sorry love. Maybe after I clean up I can give you a nice foot massage to help you out?" he offered with a loving smile. It was the least he could do considering she was doing most, if not all the work at the moment. Darcy chuckled as Jane corrected herself when she spoke of the gender of the baby and while he knew some parents had their wishes on specific genders, he found that if the baby just came out healthy with all twenty appendages. "I don't care about the little squishy's gender, just as long as they're healthy." he offered his opinion to her before taking another bite of his pancakes.

I mean I can put up with a little misery to make our baby come out perfect." She said with a small laugh. It was the truth, she'd love a boy just as much as a girl but she would be lying if she said she didn't daydream about playing princess with a daughter of her own. "Though I might very well take you up on the foot massage." She added before taking a long sip of her water. She'd been taking extra care to stay well fed and keep up on her water to help this baby even more. She wouldn't be able to stand it if she did something wrong and it hurt the baby, even in the smallest way. There was suddenly a fluttering in Jane's stomach, followed by a small thump. She instantly stopped eating and pushed away from the table, looking down at her stomach. She was concerned for an instant but suddenly had a realization. "Darcy! The baby, it's kicking!" She squealed, touching her hand to her stomach, barely feeling it. Each day it seemed to become more and more real and it was absolutely incredible. {Out of Character:}

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXDarcy chuckled at Jane's explanation and silently agreed that he would be happy with a little girl as well. He could see himself being greeted by a grinning face and high squeal of "Daddy!" by a little princess. He supposed it was a secret dream of all men to have a daughter they could spoil and keep hostage away from the world until they found a man they believed worthy of them. And in his case, this wouldn't be happening for a long, long, long time. He gave his wife a wink as she spoke of the foot massage before taking another bite of his food. When Jane suddenly stopped eating and pushed away from the table he immediately grew concerned and dropped his utensils to rush over to her. "What's wrong? Is it the baby?" he asked hurriedly before her next words caught up to him and he nearly staggered from his crouching position. Their squishy was kicking?! A bright smile erupted on his face as he eagerly placed his ear and hand to his stomach waiting to feel the next flurry.

He was really going to make a wonderful father, they would make wonderful parents. Or so she hoped anyway...sure she was more than a little terrified but she was sure it work out alright in the end. All parents had to be scared at the beginning, that was just part of life. At least Jane had experience with children from the twins as well as cousins throughout the years. She remembered her grandfather telling her that he hadn't even held a baby until her father was born. She was ready for this, she was sure of it.Or if she wasn't Darcy was, or she hoped...no she didn't have time to be worrying about this, the baby was kicking, that was the first milestone, next they would be sending her off to Hogwarts. So maybe there was a few steps in between that but it sure didn't seem like it. She took a deep breath and felt her stomach fluttering again. This baby was sure fiery, she could live with that. "Wow." She muttered to herself, "I'm going to be a mom." She smiled, "I'm not sure I'm use to be a wife yet!" She said, only joking slightly. {Out of Character:}

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXDarcy was feeling a tad despondent when he didn't feel the squishy move right as he placed his face against it before a giant grin lit up his face when he finally felt the flutter of movement. He chuckled at Jane's exclamations and pressed a kiss against her swollen belly before getting up and giving her a soft yet passionate kiss. "You're gonna be the best mom. And you're already the best wife. Not that I have much to compare to." he teased before going back to the table and gathering the dirty dishes to wash. As he began scrubbing he thought about what the two of them could do today, well besides the foot rub, and he thought that maybe she'd appreciate going to the beach. The healers did say that it was good for her to keep active not just for her health but also for the babies. Plus, if he was honest, being able to see her highlighted against the ocean waves and know that she was his and his alone was sorta a giant turn on. "Love, how about before that foot rub we go and take a nice stroll on the beach? Since Fall's practically here there's not a lot of people and the weather's beautiful, especially this time of day." Darcy asked with a grin.
