The sudden strain in Angel's voice pulled Ash's head up and she blinked large cat eyes at her senshi.
"I didn't arrange a 'hook up'." She said, confused as to why the girl would be upset about a networking opportunity. "I told him he should meet you, he said if I brought you sometime he could bring Faust, and I proposed we make it a patrol to give us all something to do other than stare at each other. Was that a faux pas on my part? I mean, I just assumed meeting a more experienced senshi would be a good thing, give you another resource for your research, but if you'd rather not I can tell him no."
Honestly, she had absolutely no idea what she had done wrong here... she didn't see anything wrong about any of it, its not like she had set up this meeting at a specific place and time and assumed Angel would show up just because she told her to... she had uncovered an opportunity and offered it up for approval.
"If you'd rather not meet my connections in the future, I won't bring them up any more." The burmilla said as she tilted her head to the side, still trying to grasp her misstep. Her pointed ears twitched, the length of her tail sliding across the table when she sat back. "And a sack would be lovely, if you would be so kind."

"'Course not. You're right, I was wrong." Angel could not suppress a slight roll of her eyes as she headed back into the kitchen to dig around in per pantry. She opened the door, heaving a small sigh while she crouched to sift through the bottom shelf. Many a can was found, and in the very back of its depths, she finally procured a plastic bag. Finally she returned with both handles clasped in one hand. "I'll go to it, but next time you should talk to me before you go about arranging any kind of meeting. It's just not proper manners to spring this on me out of nowhere." Honestly... What was this cat thinking?
After bagging the wrapped filet, she stared at the handles for a moment before settling on pulling the pair over Ash's head. The contents might drag on the ground just slightly, but the tinfoil held up well enough under duress. Angel suspected the food should survive regardless. "I never said I didn't want to meet your connections, Ash, just that I'd like to meet them on my terms. No point in arguing abut it now, though. I'll see Thraen Thursday eve, alright?" She pursed her lips momentarily.
"Unless you've got other meetings you'd like to throw my way, I've got quite a bit of research to do now." Angel paced through the heaps of clutter, very nearly tripping herself on an open book, as she approached the door. Swinging it wide, she motioned outside. "Apologies about the short notice, but I think we've gotten more than enough covered here." For a fleeting moment, Angel questioned if she might feel bad about throwing Ash out now. However, an immediate 'no' came to mind.
Angel never batted an eyelash.
