"Who knows?" Gamma replied, picking up his own pace when she did. Though he sighed again when he saw a familiar figure running to meet them. "I'm back," he said as his sister skidded to a halt in front of him and the mare.

Beta, in stark contrast to her brother, was practically radiating joy. "Welcome back, Gamma!" she exclaimed. "You're back early. Did you have fun? Who's your friend?"

Luckily, the mare was stopped from further questioning by the quiet stallion who stepped up to join her. "Beta. Slow down," Haides chided his adoptive sister gently. She gave him a look, but quieted as she stared expectantly at her brother.

Gamma sighed once more. "I would say I had 'fun', but it was... interesting." He shrugged to the second question. "She didn't give her name and I didn't ask," he replied, slipping by his sister. He was a little tired... maybe he'd take a nap. Though not yet, since Beta was already protesting him leaving his 'new friend.' "I'm not sure you'd call us friends," he replied. "More like newly-made acquaintances would be more accurate."

(( Then she might make the connection between Haides and Itzal since they look alike. 8D ))

(sadly they don’t look close enough for Noct to get the jump)
The pitch hurt her ears. They were flipped back while the over excited mare spoke and instinctively she moved to the side to be away from that voice. “Strangers would be more accurate.” She really didn’t know the male nor he her so even acquaintances was a stretch. The male who came up and quitted the loud one was better though. “I come seeking information.” She cut straight to the point. . “I am looking for a blue flying mare she foaled some time ago.” It was almost annoying to do this so much. “Erumana, Ermara. Something along those lines.” She didn’t care who these one were since it was doubtful they would have anything important to her if they had no connection to the mare she was seeking. She briefly gave a glance to the retreating Gamma. It was the tone of the hyper one that dragged on him as well?

Beta thought for a moment or two. "Eru... Eru... Nnn, I think there was someone with an Eru name at Aila's farm... Danny mentioned her once. I don't know what she looks like, though. Only that she's, um... distrusting, I think was the word?" She didn't know much about the mare; she hadn't seen the mysterious mare any of the times she'd gone to visit her Chosen on the farm. She looked at Haides, who simply shrugged; he didn't know anything about the mare. "I don't know if she's blue or flying or had foals, though. I've never seen her."

Gamma paused, frowning. Beta wasn't supposed to know about this Erumana or whoever that the mare was looking for. It made him uneasy... Although his personality didn't mix the best with his sister's, he had become determined to protect her like he'd failed to do previously. Before the light blue mare could respond, Gamma spoke up. "I can take her there." His gaze went to the mare who had still not given her name. He didn't want Beta traveling with this mystery mare, especially since the mare didn't say why she wanted to meet this Eru character.

(( Aw, too bad. ))

Aila’s farm. Farms were named after the humans who lived there. Noct waited until the rambling was over before she was going to ask to be directed there. Still when the annoying male volunteered it made no difference. She simply shrugged and nodded. It didn’t matt who lead her as long as she got there. Though for the sake of her sanity she hoped that the male could be quite this time around.

She made a move to follow the male ready to leave already. She flicked an ear to the quieter male. It was nice to meet another who didn’t sprout a tree out their mouth each time they spoke. She made no effort to give thanks since this was a waste of breath as it was. She started at the annoying male waiting for him to go.

(Though since Noct looks like his other sister I’m surprised Hadies doesn’t recognize her.)

Haides tilted his head slightly in response to the ear flick from the nameless female. Clearly not a talker, just like he wasn't. Though it looked like him growing up with Beta made him at least somewhat more tolerant to the loudness of their adoptive family than the dull-eyed mare was.

Gamma turned and passed his sister and Haides, giving a nod to her instructions to take care. "This way," he said to the still nameless mare as he started towards the farm. He wasn't really sure he wanted to help this mare, but at least this way the mare wasn't bothering his sister.

(( Yeah, though he wasn't as familiar with Nocturne as Itzal was. Haides wasn't kidnapped like they were, so he's a little less familiar with what she looked like. That, and even if he did think she looked familiar, he's not one to pry. He remembers that Senka wandered off and that Itzal and their other siblings were kidnapped, but the ones Haides remembers best were Itzal and Senka. ))

(*snickers* pull up Senka and Noct and look at them. Then pull up Haides and Itzal XD the resemblance is a lot closer between the girls than the boys. Still all well.)

She followed the male in silence a while before she spoke to him again. “Thank you. The mare was loud. It was unsettling.” Noct let herself look back over her shoulder while a small shudder ran through her frame and look back clearly glad to be away from the noisy one. The annoying male was bad enough but had she had to travel with the talkative mare she might have fled in terror. So few she knew were so talkive and so cheery. It was perhaps the single most terrifying thing Noct had seen in the northern azrein. That cheer. ..It was unnatural. She let her gaze drift here and there looking at nothing but memorizing the way if she needed to flee in hurry.

Gamma glanced at the mare and shrugged as he turned his attention forward again. "Beta is loud," he admitted. "She's nosy, stubborn, and always seems to be cheerful. To someone with a personality like mine, it can be insufferable." He paused for a moment, fighting against his guilt to continue. "But as her brother, it's a relief to see her so happy, despite all she's gone through. ... And so forgiving." Though he didn't feel he deserving of it, it was a relief to him that she felt he did. "And with an adoptive family as large as hers, I pity whoever is foolish enough to try to break that cheery demeanor of hers." Though the only one who'd succeeded at dampening her spirit that was Reth, and that was only because of their... unique relationship.

That mare was related to the annoying one? Well that certainly explained a few things and yet a part of her pitied the male. “insufferable and terrifying.” She nodded curtly to her own quite comment not sure if the other heard and not caring if he did. A large adoptive family which meant there were more of them. The thought made her insides twist uncomfortably. “To many in a place.” She shook her head and kept moving. The further away the better she was not here to meet others. She had to find one and drag one back if she could. She didn’t know how far the farm was and hoped it wasn’t too far. She might be required to talk more to keep the male assisting her and that was not a strong suit of hers.

"You have no idea," Gamma mumbled. He was the one actually living with them, even if only temporarily. He didn't realize that so many Azrein could live together until he'd met the Azrein that had raised his little sister. The stallion remained silent but thoughtful for most of the trip, but finally asked the question that had been gnawing uncomfortably at his conscience. "Why do you need to find this Eru mare, anyway?" He hadn't wanted to pry, but the question wouldn't leave him alone.

Mmm so the male had some brains after all. She knew the question would be asked eventually though she assumed by those who were.. more involved in the matters. “He worries for his children that were born of her. I go to check where he cannot tread.” That statement held enough truth and gave so much more. The question was how smart was the male she was dealing with. Could he tell what she meant by it all. Besides it sounded more like an errand than what it truly was. She had taken one foal at birth and finding the others would be easy once she found the blue winged female.

Something twisted uncomfortably in Gamma's gut. The words sounded innocent enough, but his mind was throwing up red flags. He slowed as he further inspected what she'd said. The father couldn't see the children he'd born by this Eru mare. The two most plausible conclusions were separation due to alignment and rape. Neither conclusion gave him a good feeling. And if this mare was coming to meet the mother... "What do you mean by 'check'?" he asked. "If the children are young, their mother will be unlikely to allow a stranger near them. If they are adults, there is no guarantee that they are with their mother still. Also, if there are hard feelings between the parents, I doubt the mother would allow a strange mare near her children, even if--or perhaps, especially if--she was allegedly sent by the father." Suspicious. Very suspicious. Maybe he should lead her to another farm. There was one where he knew an older elf lived with his wife and her Bonded. Perhaps he'd let the mare question the Bonded stallion and then be on her way? A simple trick, but an easy enough one to pull off, since both farms were in the same direction and this mystery mare didn't know where she was going.

“Check to see if they are breathing, alive, not mishandled while growing up.” Noct was already bored with talking to this annoying male but his tone told her a few things. He was ansty about her reason to see them. Would he lie to her and lead her false or stay true to his word. “The children are not young. They are adults and may well have left. I need to speak with their mother to find their location and check on them. I am not a stranger as I met shortly after she foaled and she sent me away with one of her brats in tow to raise with the father.” She gave a soft chuckle. “He turned out well and strong. Though a bit stubborn like his father.” She stopped walking for a moment and had a soft smile on her face. It was perhaps the first time she let such a genuine happy emotion cross her face while thinking of sauron. The boy had done well and even though Me’urra had no use for him and let him go she was proud of the young stallion. She shook her head and seeing the annoying male before starring she recomposed her face into a blank slate once more. “Still the complexities of this family are not your concern. The one night stand while true making things difficult does not mean hard feelings exist. Nor does it mean their father does not care and would not like to meet his own children.” She brushed the male’s words off with a flick of her head.

Gamma nodded to the first comment. It made sense, yes, but it didn't explain why this mare was the one checking and not the father. Well, the fact that the children were adults made him relax a bit, even if only because it kept his darkest conspiratorial thoughts at bay. He listened curiously as the mare continued talking, noting the first glimpses of happiness--or any emotion besides irritation, really--that graced her features. She had helped raise the boy, by the sound of it, or at least had seen him grow. She obviously knew the father if he had sent her up here to seek out his children. Possibly a step-mother? A nanny or babysitter? Who knew? He wasn't sure she'd tell him, either.

He shrugged at her last comments, her face once again a blank slate. It was a pity. She might have been considered pretty if she smiled. ... Or, at least, approachable. "Fair enough," he replied, though he wasn't sure he agreed. After all, no father of him or his countless siblings and half-siblings had stuck around to show even a speck of concern for their children. "Though you shouldn't say such things so lightly. Some would take comments like that about one night stands to be an invitation." His older brother being one of them. Shaking his head to clear the immediate, unpleasant thoughts about Alpha from his mind, he continued on towards Aila's farm.

She gave the male a glance. She didn’t think he would be such a kind of male. No those who would force a female live to the south to her knowledge. Moreover he didn’t seem to have much of any interest in her. “I don’t know a male or female who would even consider the notion of a one night stand with me even if I offered it. Though since I don’t know the feelings of love or lust in my life so far I suppose I will never offer such an invitation.” In truth Nocturne was musing aloud at this point and ignoring the male’s presence as he guided her along. She glanced along at the foliage not really sure what was edible for the most part. She had the same trouble on her last trip up north. So many da** plants. Still at least grass was plentiful and edible. “This place where we headed it is … decent? I have heard stories of some humans being much akin to animals. Should Ermara be known to them and that place she is at is not savory I may require a guide to take the mare and the children out.” She just needed to know if humans in the region were well connected and how close they were. A fast escape for her might be needed and quickly if things went wrong.

Gamma shrugged. "It's a big Isle. You never know." He nodded, a little curious about the comment about feelings of love and lust. Well, he hadn't really felt those types of feelings towards other Azrein beyond his familial love of his sister, but at least he was a little more... knowledgeable about it than this mare seemed to be. He blinked at the question she asked him. "... Yes, it is decent. One of the humans is my sister's Chosen, while the other saved my nephew's life. They're more tolerable than most humans. ... Well, my sister's Chosen isn't human, apparently... it's a... Skh'et or something. Has rabbit ears... it's strange."

As they approached the wooden fence that marked the entrance to Aila's farm, he nodded to it. "That's it there. If this Ermara mare is here, then she's somewhere in there." He wasn't going to go in himself. Though he lived with his sister, he wasn't exactly looking to interact with humans.
