He managed to get Painite away from him, but his words did nothing to slow her. She seemed just as determined as the last time to take him out of this world for good. She came at him once more with the spear and his eyes went a little wide, his back and shoulder had already suffered the spears strike and though adrenaline numbed the pain, so he was sure when it hit him he would be in agony.
She left herself open and Shang noticed gripping his weapon tightly, hesitant to go for it, afraid he would despite her trying to kill him; really hurt her. Still if she was incapacitated in some way he didn't think he'd be getting away from her anytime soon, nor without further injury.
He frowned, but he lunged forward, pushing is weapon out with both hands to strike the rampant general. Aim was never his strong suit, but either way she was coming right at him and he was attacking with force. He just hoped it would work. Though he worried for the next time they met, it was a large city, on would think he would be able to avoid her, but here he was a third time fighting, albeit badly, for his life. Fate seemed to be taunting him almost.

Kaori_luv I think that is a fin for me General Painite was not anticipating her little play thing to lash out at her, though she had almost been hoping he might. She was having far too much fun and was so caught up in the fight, she almost forgot that there was an actual danger in it for her. She did not feel fear any more, after all.
She had no time to block. She thought she was the attacker and that he would never work up the nerve to attack her. She was wrong, and later she would be both furious and delighted about it.
His weapon connected solidly to the side of her head, and her head snapped sideways with enough force to look positively horrifying. She dropped to the floor immediately, as if her momentum suddenly switched off and gravity turned itself up. Her body went completely limp and she lost track of herself completely, knocked out cold.
She did not, at least, power down, her magic protecting her, if Shang took a moment to look back at her after his lucky hit. She was bleeding from where she was struck, the skin across her temple split open. When she woke she would not be a happy camper.

Shang hadn't been expecting to hit her in her head. His eyes went completely wide as his weapon struck and she went down. He stood there for a moment as she fell, dropping weapon, it disappearing before it hit the ground, the only sound to be heard was the women before him hitting the ground.
Flight kicked in and he ran, trying to keep the thoughts out of his head that told him to turn around and help her. The ones that asked what if she died? That called him a murder, even though he was certain he just knocked her out. He hoped.
The other part of his brain, the terrified part, kept his legs pumping and leaping their way to safety. It more sensibly reminded him his survival and kept him from foolishly turning back from even looking back for fear what he might see or worse. That she might get up.Lithiasaur Thank you, ILU <3 ... all the painite rp ever
