Hell yes character actors! This was one of the things that had always held allure for the magenta-haired Antiguan. It was crazy fantastic that they simply paid people to walk around in costume, to hug kids, to pretend to be characters that no doubt they had enjoyed as children. How was that not living the dream?! She'd always wanted to try for it because, while she wasn't Barbie-thin she could have lost the weight, would have done anything to be a Certified Disney Princess but it just had never quite happened.

Vaguely she wondered if Peyton would bother dressing up with her one day. If Mimsy was interested in larceny they could easily get their hands on costumes in the middle of the night. Guilt at stealing something like that was utterly non-existent. Even now she was eyeing Otto and wondering what to dress him up as. Would he even try? Survey says: probably not. But it would be amusing to try.

"Why not you? I was tasked by Shu, who is the nicest sweetest girl I've ever met, to take a lot of pictures. We can't disappoint her!" This was going to be the best thing ever. Grinning rather widely she entered the line and when it came their time had Otto take the picture with the brown-skinned pair smiling perfectly. With a flourish she then plucked her phone out of his hands and nudged him forward. "Hey, princess, this is my friend Otto. He needs a bit of a perk from a nice girl like you. Think you can help him smile?" Oh she was willing to try.

"Sure we can." He replied easily. Disappoint Shu all day long! Easy, actually. It required so little effort.

He took the picture of Cami with her Princess, fairly certain that they would head on to something else right afterward. He did not foresee that Cami would be involving him in character antics. His eyes widened under the brim of his hat, giving Cami a vexing frown. How could she do this to him?

But the Princess, of course, was not deterred.

"Have you been having a hard time?" She asked with an animated look of concern, "I know that taking trips to worlds I've never been before make me smile~." Her Princess allure made Otto shy away a fair bit, his arms crossed and his posture squirmy. He was no good at playing along with character acting, even if it came off as sincere. Again, he looked to Cami for an out. Cami did not seem to be willing to save him. She was the perpetrator, after all.

"Are you shy?" She asked curiously with a smile.

He twisted his mouth, his answer uncertain. "Maybe." He answered ambiguously. Jasmine found this funny, or cute, and of course giggled in a polite manner. "Are you and your princess are having fun today?" Because every girl was a princess, big or small.

"Sure." He replied once more as ambiguously as possible. He could never be here nor there about anything.

"I like your hat. You look handsome in it. Can you see well enough?" Because of course as the day progressed he'd lowered the brim a fair bit to hide his eyes. Some form of shell and armour he'd created to remove himself from the crowds.

"I can see well enough." Like feet, and the ground. Avoiding eye contact with nearly everyone.

"Can I see your eyes? I bet they're wonderful!" She asked politely. Otto relented if only to please Cami and her quest to make him interact with Princesses. He pulled the bill around the back, and wore his ball cap backwards. His blue eyes flinched from the sudden onslaught of the sun's rays.

"Wow! Blue! That's so amazing. I really like the colour blue." As evidenced of course, as Jasmine seemed to wear a fair bit of blue.

Otto wondered when this would be done. Making him smile seemed like such a silly endeavour. "What are you looking forward to most here at Disney?"

Otto looked over to the rides. "Roller Coasters." He replied readily, with a look of desire in his eyes. He hated scary things, but he loved the thrill of roller coasters. Actually, he'd only been on some once before, many years ago. He really wanted to catch that thrill again, without being thrown by a Titan to feel it.

Cami wondered, as she watched poor Otto fidget and try to avoid the princess's probing attempts to turn his frown upside down, if maybe she should feel perhaps a little guilty. Wasn't this doing basically what she railed at others for doing in forcing him to talk to Jasmine and take pictures with her? But then, if he really wanted to walk away, nothing was stopping him. Picture after picture was snapped, especially after his hat was turned backwards to show his face more clearly.

After awhile it seemed pretty clear that this nut was going to be a tough one to crack. It was alright though...she had two days to do it. It would only take one smile. Certainly her own lit up and she whooped slightly. "Awesome! Thanks Princess, that was much easier to get out of him than if I had asked." Which it probably wasn't but the poor girl didn't need to know that. She'd tried pretty hard, after all, and Cami was definitely a morale-boosting type of person at the end of the day.

Letting poor Otto off the hook was simple enough as she let him lead the way towards the big attractions: Big Thunder Mountain and the most thrilling of all -- Splash Mountain. Really she was rather glad that white didn't seem to be something she'd bothered wearing that day. A white shirt with her figure? Nope! Had she been here alone the minx wouldn't have minded picking up a heart or two to break but she was here with a buddy who had a heart of his own to break back home. Or whatever he and Maebe were doing.

Looking between the path that branched off to either ride she raised an eyebrow in question. "Well? Do you want to go fast first, or get wet first?"

Freedom at last.

Otto looked between the two roads, his mind brimming with ideas. "Wet first. We can dry off on the fast one." That was the logical conclusion he had come to.

He gave her a sly once over. "Good thing you didn't wear white."

Holding up her hand for a hi-five she all but cackled at her thoughts being voiced aloud. "I thought I'd spare you the trouble of having to watch me fend off every single guy in the park. Or single girl, depending on leanings. Though blessedly most of the ladies are a lot less blatant." Most. She'd gotten some interesting propositions on the beach back in the day from both sexes. "Surprisingly I'm pretty grateful at the moment for my lack of hair too. Carrying around waist-length wet hair for the rest of the day would have sucked." Fingers ruffled the pigtails atop the back of her head where they stuck out like twin fluffy bunny tails.

Eyeing the log flume they were going to be riding in for the thrill of a huge drop into water she pursed her lips a bit. "Soooo you were wanting to ride in the front, right? Well. I kinda was too. We might have to do this twice." A huge sacrifice. She knew.

Looks like this girl thought herself to be hot stuff. Well, she was hot. And curvy. So she was probably not just bragging. Otto probably just didn't get out enough to know the ins and outs of the flirt scene. After all, he himself never flirted.

She also seemed not to be picky in regards to gender. He wasn't surprised.

"Having hair that long sounds like a pain." He murmured in response. He had often kept his hair chin length before the island. Now, he often got it trimmed back out of convenience. "Your hair looks cute as it is anyway." He complimented so passingly, it could almost be undetected.

"Huh? Is the front like... the better spot?" He'd never been on this sort of ride before. "Or wait... are you trying to get me soaked?" He narrowed his eyes. Judging.

Had Cami known Otto was taking her so seriously she might have been horrified. Or perhaps amused? Either way she would have stopped making such insane statements because, truth be told, she wasn't feeling all that hot lately. The market on Deus was rather cornered and she wasn't the kind of girl to forcibly break in on such a thing. Mark didn't really count because she couldn't take him seriously which, really, made her feel a little bad. There was a quick spurt of perhaps asking Otto to join her in a celibacy pact but, considering that her weapon snorted in her head two seconds later, had her agreeing. There was no way she could keep that.

The compliment might have been offhand but it definitely reached the redhead, causing her to smile widely. "Thanks! I can't say I'm not unhappy with it. I don't think it's ever been this short, my mom would have laid an egg." Which was putting it mildly. Very mildly.

Owlishly she blinked at his suspicion. "What?! No! No way! The front is kinda the best thrill because you can see straight down with nothing in the way when you get to the hill. I dunno who gets soaked the most but I wanna sit in the front seat too." Fear of heights? Nah. Just the dark, apparently! And now, bugs. Fire. Okay so maybe the list was growing but this was none of that. "I was just giving you the first chance."

"Oh. No, it's okay. You take the front." He'd go a second time if he liked it enough. Otherwise, he was A-OK giving dibs to Cami. This place was her dream, after all. Otto was just glad to have a few days out of Deus.

He swept his arm out to the ride. "After you." As if he had actual chivalry and manners. More like as if.

"Don't these things take pictures at the end of the ride?"

Settling into the front of the log with Otto's legs on either side of her hip he couldn't see the semi-maniacal grin. "You betcha they do. So make sure it's a good face, okay?" Most of the ride wasn't that thrilling. Meandering around corners, going through something that was generally not all that thrilling and then....the drop. She knew it was coming, could see it coming, and yet still screamed at the top of her lungs. It was surprisingly cleansing to scream with the thrill of something totally safe.

The last time she'd fallen had not been so kind.

She did indeed get soaked, wringing water out of her shirt as they stumbled out of the ride, giggles all around. "Okay, so now we know about that front seat. I bet that picture is great." She'd tried to make it that way, in any case. Peering up she found herself, arms stretched out as if she'd hug the drop, looking like she was about to explode with excitement.

Otto made sure to take off his hat before getting on the ride.

The ride was surprisingly boring. Otto lounged behind Cami, staring at the scenery with a lot of disinterest, wishing for a quick end. The end came, and boy did it come. The drop approached, and it seemed much steeper than was physically possible. Was it at 90 degrees?!

When he got out of the ride with her, he started swishing his hair back and forth to shake off the water. He'd almost forgotten there'd be a photo until they picked it up. His own picture had him clinging to his seat, his posture hunched and curling in as if bracing for a deadly fall. His expression looked somewhat bewildered.

He leaned in to see it, shaking his head at Cami's exuberance in the photo. "You look like you wanna jump out and beat the ride to the bottom."

Tilting her head at it a bit she laughed a little bit ruefully. "Guess I do. You're kinda the exact opposite, like the boat's gonna tip and we're all gonna fall." Of course, that level of logic worked pretty well on Deus Isle, she supposed. Everything went to hell no matter how hard you tried to make it otherwise. Fingers were squeezing out her pigtails, going back to wringing out her top, and she beamed. "Did you wanna do it again? Or are we gonna air-dry? Cuz I can do this all day." Which was the point wasn't it?

Cami was reluctant, actually, to mention that there were two roller coasters at Disney World. One of them was the outdoor adventure next-door to Splash Mountain. The other was a starry fantasy...in pitch black darkness. Where you sat alone in the dark unsure of if anyone was in front of or behind you as stars went by. It was a nightmare in living form and she desperately hoped Otto didn't ask to go on it. She would, because she was his friend, because she wanted him to have a good time, but it would be terrifying.

"You're the boss, after all."

"Nah, I wanna go on a real coaster." Otto murmured, taking off his shirt to ring it out easier. "What ones are there? You're the expert."

Biting her lip Cami wondered for a moment if she ought to be dishonest. "Well there's Big Thunder Mountain which is right over there." She pointed in the other direction from which mirthful terror could be heard echoing off the walls of the ride. Ugh, damn it, she needed to work on this honesty thing. She could lie all day to someone she didn't like but a friend? Nope. "And then there's Space Mountain all the way back towards the entrance. It's in a big, dark building and I guess there's glow in the dark paint that makes stars and lights and stuff." Did she sound enthusiastic enough?

She hoped so!

But because honesty didn't mean she couldn't try to direct him away from it she gleamed with mischief, grinning a bit. "Hey if we head for Space Mountain then we'd go through Fantasyland. We could go see all the Princesses!"

A dark building? Glow in the dark stars? If it the stars were bright enough to help see, it'd be fine. But if it was too dark... Otto twisted his mouth a fair bit as he thought about what to do about this. The coaster he could see, he was more inclined to visit, despite the terrified screams.

Her enthusiasm for Princesses made him think she wanted to go to Space Mountain. "More Princesses, huh.." He drawled with light amusement at her mischief.

"Um.. Let's do the Thunder Mountain one... it's closer." He'd let her drag him through Princess Land after he got his coaster fix.

Blue met blue and twinkled with all kinds of mischief. If he thought Jasmine was bad she couldn't wait to drag him through Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Merida, and the Arendelle sisters. Maybe Rapunzel if they were lucky! Ariel though...Ariel was for her. Redheaded princess from the sea who finds her prince and woos him in the most spectacular way possible? Nope, Otto couldn't have that one. Of course with her luck that'd be his favorite princess and really, she couldn't blame him, but she was hoping he'd rather prefer to hook up with a nice Belle or Cindy. Wasn't he into blondes?

"Closer and I hear it's faster! Faster's good, right?" Her knowledge of theme parks was limited at best and she'd honestly never been on anything more than a county fair roller coaster in her entire life. She'd watched a few videos online that were POV views but never experienced one herself. Nerves and excitement warred and, hopefully, excitement would win out.

It did. The ride was crazy, thrilling, and though she tried not to shriek poor Otto's ear off (since he was seated next to her) it was impossible not to scream her way down the first hill. Getting off she didn't even pause. "Again?" It was hardly a question.
