Whereas I saw the entire show as a DBZ complex, so the ending was just it being more honest about it.
I honestly don't even blame Ragyo for her uncouth actions toward Satsuki. It felt like a random detail, honestly, so I blame the creators for shoe-horning that into her character just b/c they wanted it (or were trying to show how evil she was and whatnot).

Oh, don't get me wrong- I am fine with the porn aspect, and it didn't phase me one bit . . . but it made me say my daughter might not want to watch it right now. Up to that point, I was happy to say she should try it out.
In the end, it was an odd- but entertaining show. I miss senketsu. He was an interesting character.

Yeah, I didn't assume you had much problem w/ it.
It's definitely unique, and Senketsu was pretty cool. It's a shame the other kamui never spoke.

Look at how it was treated, though . . . It was not syncronized, it was overriden. It was never talked to, only worn/used.

It's nothing special, really. Plus, the anime made an ending that doesn't match the manga (which goes on longer, as far as I know), b/c they caught up to the manga when making it.

That's a dangerous problem . . . Naruto and Bleach suffered the same fates, as far as I know. That led to the filler arcs that are generally reviled as dumb.

This has a slightly better fate. Instead of doing a whole filler arc whole waiting for the manga, they just fudged in an ending that didn't exist. So, basically, chances are only the last few episodes will be off from the manga (though that's not an insignificant mount in a show as short as it is).
FYI: Sword Art Online 2 is streaming w/ subtitles on CrunchyRoll starting tomorrow for free users.
