Ubiquitouch So I've edited her profile to include the new stuff you added - fears, qualifications, etc... and an appearance update, I hope you don't mind. Do you mind if I completely redo her profile? It would be all the same stuff, but right now I'm kinda bothered by how her profile is this weird Frankenstein of the standard and from when I copied your first profile, and I just want to put it into the standard format and re-post it. I'm fine with that. Minor edits and formatting is something I do very often. So long as she doesn't grow a second head and learns how the meaning of life overnight, I'm fine.

So, it seems like balancing Shizuko will be a never-ending quest for me. I've been thinking about it, and while I think her power level is (mostly) fine, there is one thing that needs tweaking. Her Bankai, as of right now, has very little if any counter-play. I'm trying to think of how to rectify this without making the weakness incredibly easily exploitable. The two ideas I have as of right now are: 1, While her Bankai remains the same, those with good reaction times and combat instincts can at least somewhat sense her presence, even if they cannot fully place it or even consciously notice it. Or: 2, while memory of her disappears, there is still a gap that those who would be thinking about her can easily notice and realize that something is wrong, even if they cannot quite figure out what. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not totally enthused with these options, so I'm gonna ask if anyone has any ideas. Edit: I'm gonna hold off on the overhaul of the entire profile until she becomes a Vizard.

Okay, well, let the shredding begin. Your case is extremely complicated and I don't have the brain power to come up with proper solution so I apologize in advance.
Just with Fade, your character could literally stab someone in the back without them even noticing until her blade is removed from them. This implies that she could stab them, decide to twist the sword around and play surgeon with their body by pulling out their organs without them even feeling her (Was it ever specified whether or not that only applies to her zanpakuto's damage and damage by her bare hands while the sword is still touching the target?). In other words, the target would have time to die quite a couple of times before Shizuko's even done with them and, all that, as soon as she's out of their line of sight.
If your character's Kido oriented, I would suggest adding a limitation of how long she can be within close proximity to her target before the ability vanishes. It wouldn't take away too much from her combat capabilities since a lot of Kido spells are long-ranged and are usually used for ambush purposes due to cast time. This will allow her to still be out of reach.
It becomes even more troublesome in Bankai when even a thin sheet of Kido spell or glass would make the caster forget about her. 'Anything between a person and her' implies that, well, air molecules could do the trick too. Nowhere was it mentioned that it was limited to liquids/solids/kido-equivalent powers. And, well, Shizuko could be carrying a bit piece of cloth around with her for special Bankai occasions. Heck, if she pulled her Shinigami uniform over her head and stuffed her arms into her sleeves, poof, she's gone: there's a piece of fabric between her and others' line of sight.
I still find being erased from one's memory sort of problematic, especially after watching a few episodes of Doctor Who involving The Silence. Your character could coerce others into doing things while they see her and have them immediately forget the reason why they did it or that they did it at all just by vanishing from sight and bringing with her the memories that hosted her existence.
The easiest way to nerf things down would be to add more restrictions (duration, cooldown) or find a way for others to be immune to the ability even just temporarily. @_@

The first option you mentioned seems good ad the quincy with a similar ability was hit due to Yachiru's instincts. And on a power like this, which Fei pointed out could be exploited easily, would be good to maybe instead of having them notice once the blade leaves. Instead they notice when it enters them adding those two bits I feel would make it a lot better in terms of not being OP. Cause I think unlike Fei suggest a duration and cool down would limit the power to much and take away the whole reason she's not a captain. Cause if its an ability she turns on and off she could still be a captain

SO, since it seem SHizuko's getting into a major fight, I went ahead and did the changes - neither her Shikai nor Bankai affect those she or her sword is in contact with. In addition, if her Kido is withing 20 feet of a person while she is in Bankai, they will be able to see it normally. Does this seem like it fixes the problems to you?

Alright, I'll add that in.
