Kano Eida Hours ticked by as the sun had already set and Kano felt it was best to spend the remainder of what time he had left to prepare for his leave. He didn't spend much time with Haku but he figured his "bride" wanted to be alone...that and he was the one that didn't particularly care and was just doing this since it had to be done. He made his way back to the house where he sat in his office area, kneeling at the table as he dipped his brush into ink and bean to write some letters for future use and it was at this time that he asked that no one was to disturb him. Of course he did leave so that he could bid his sister farewell though she waited since she wanted to say bye to Haku as well.
"I'd like to say bye to my future brother-in-law!" She smiled brightly as she noticed Kano scowl slightly.
"Very well Kane, I will go get him for you," Kano mumbled and headed to his room to see if Haku was there and if so he would let him know that his sister was leaving and that she requested to see him so that she may bid him farewell.
Seeing that Haku wasn't in the room he sighed heavily and headed back to inform his sister that he was gone and so he was going to go search for him and it was best she headed home anyway. With a pout she agreed and left. Kano then went back to the place he guessed Haku would be and of course he was right.
"This area isn't the safest place after sun down you know."

Haku Tetsuya Haku pursed his lips when that still slightly foreign voice reached his ears, before he rolled his eyes and stood up, turning towards the dark haired mail with his arms crossed over his chest comfortably. "So?" He question, a rather blunt tone to his voice. Was he supposed to coop himself up in the main house as soon as night fell? Well... Kano would learn the hard way that Haku was an extremely free spirit and had a tendency of running off and disappearing. He liked to explore, and anyone who impeded upon that... well, he was fairly good at hide and seek to say the least. "I like it here, and I can hold my own. Y'know, just because I've been given the role of the 'wife' doesn't mean I'm actually female. And it also means that I refuse to stay inside all the time- it's boring." He voiced as he let his arms drop to his sides, thought one remained as a fist on his hip as he cocked his head to the side a bit. "Sorry to say, I'm not a docile little lamb either. I'll play my part... it's for my family after all. But I'm a doer, not a watcher" He purred, before he hopped back without looking and landed easily on one of the stones in the pond. People always told him he was too wild- his father blamed it on his red hair. A fierce temper and a wild streak which made him hard to pin down.

Kano Eida Kano's lip twitched her so slightly from the sheer irritation he would be getting now that he was practically stuck with Haku. Nonetheless he replied, "Very well do as you wish. I merely suggest you get to know this forest during the day light then once you can distinguish every little thing you can roam about freely, even at this time. However since you are a big boy you do whatever you want, I don't have time to deal with bratty stubborn boys." He then turned to leave and let Haku do what he wished however once he was out of sight from Haku he stopped. He looked around for a moment as his eyes narrowed. He tilted his head up slightly, inhaling deeply. Without another moment he turned on his heels and dashed back to where Haku was.
It was as if he literally teleported but it just showed how fast he was. He had ran easily on the stones in the pond and in time pulled Haku into his arms while pulling his Katana out, knocking back the shurikens flying right at them.
With Kano there who ever the assassins were had retreated knowing it would be foolish to fight him here in the lands Kano grew up in, he did have a great advantage on who ever they were.
Letting Haku go he jumped off the stone and landed over at where some of the shurikens had landed as he knelt down and picked one up. He sneered while standing back up. "They're very bold for coming there...I'll give them that." He then glanced over at Haku, "It's best we head back now."
Kano knew that Haku could handle himself but these were new lands to the male and he was just as much of an amateur as the assassins that just tried to kill him. With time Haku would get a feel for this forest and Kano wouldn't have to worry about the male getting himself killed.

Haku Tetsuya Haku had felt the shift in the air- everything had gone too still, to perfectly silent but his 'fun' was interrupted by Kano as he reappeared and pulled Haku into his arms, throwing Haku off balance slightly. A frown tugged at his lips in an instant as the shurikens were batted away by the katana. Should he bring up the fact that he was used to this? That assassination attempts on his life especially were nothing new? No... he figured Kano would figure that out fairly quickly. He as loathed by the daughters of all the other clans because of his engagement to Kano... But he doubted Kano was aware of such, it wasn't his problem after all. Haku stepped back onto one of the other stones as he was let go, his eyes dulling slightly as Haku spoke of heading back. "I suppose." He stated with absolutely no enthusiasm to his tone. He jumped out of the middle of the pond and walked swiftly past Kano- a slight glimmer of displeasure dancing in those forest green orbs- which Kano may or may not have seen as the red head moved past him- as graceful as the wind that tousled his fiery hair. 'Well, there goes any fun I could have had tonight... Why do people always underestimate me? I've learned to battle best in unknown territories... Because that's what you do on missions..... so annoying. Just like the rest' he seethed silently squeezing his hands into fist for a moment before he forced himself to relax them. He simply made his way back to Kano's room, sitting down on the bed without a word as he simply glared down at the floor. Was it his slender frame? The face? Maybe the fact that he was raised to take on womanly duties? Why couldn't anyone understand that he was still a man and still trained to fight! If anything- he was most alive during battle...

Kano Eida Kano followed along though he made a pit stop at the village's herbalist, handing the man the shurikens though he handed to him carefully since the tips were coated with an odorless poison. Kano only knew the tips had been dipped into poison because it gave a slight discoloration to metals. The herbalist agreed and would let Kano know what poison was used once he came back from his mission. Reaching his home he headed straight for his room to simply change and since Haku was busy pouting there was no reason to bother with changing else where. Once in his shinobi wear he grabbed his bag.
Glancing back at Haku he would leave the male with some words. "I'm fully aware of your constant run in with assassinations however just because you've managed to live through them all doesn't mean you should feel fully confident with your skills. Being too confident or cocky will lead you to your death. Not to mention that the people that tried to kill you today are not like the assassins you are used to. Though I'm sure you and I can both agree that tonight was a warning."
With a heavy sigh and a rub of his brows he then added, "I think it's best you come along with me. I will not deny that you are not skilled and I could use what skills you have."
"An excellent idea!" His grandfather said as he walked in and walked into the room further since Kano had been standing by the door. "I was just on my way here to suggest the very same. I think that if you two go off on this mission it may bring you two together some how." Turning to Kano he hit him on his leg, "And be sure to bring Haku back alive or the punishment will be beyond words..." Leaving the room he gave a small wave, "Good luck!"
Kano hadn't flinched when he was whacked on the leg but there would be a bruise there later. Glancing over at Haku he added, "I will wait at the front of the gates." He then walked off and did as he said, he waited at the front of the gates.

Haku Tetsuya Haku had to bite his tongue to keep from retorting - no...he didn't know. He had absolutely no idea how many brushes with death the red head has had during his life. How many poisons he has had to take to grow accustomed to the affects and make them less lethal- the amount of time he trained in order to dance around those shurikens... His gaze darted to the elderly man who he identified at Kano's grandfather and he bowed his head respectfully to the elder- though he still wasn't particularly pleased. It seemed that people took his wild personality as foolishness and pride..... and he knew full well that he was not the strongest person out there. When the both of them had left the room he stood from the bed and sighed "Yep. Like all the others" He voiced out loud to the empty air. He packed himself a small bag- basic essentials and the bare minimum. The red head wove his hair into a braid and tucked it up with two metal hair pieces that also doubled as fairly good weapons in a pinch. He then slipped out of his normal clothing to change into the generic Shinobi clothing- more comfortable changing alone as... well- he wasn't exactly unscarred either. He had a large scar stretching from his shoulder and down his back to his opposite hip- as well as a thin scar just above his heart. besides that the rest were small and insignificant. He paused in the doorway, biting his bottom lip as he contemplated grabbing something else from his bags and sighed, turning back to grab two small glass containers. He slipped one into his bag- a green thick looking substance in the jar and wandered out to the front gates. Without a word he tossed the other tiny jar at Kano- knowing the man would catch it. Inside was a slightly thinner substance with a slightly pink tint. "That's for your leg." He stated simply, not in a rude way- simply....a peace offering perhaps. Ut was a bruise balm, something that would keep the bruise from actually getting too bad and it would ease the ache. He shouldered his pack, his emerald orbs turned towards the dark trail ahead "Ready when you are." He added- his voice unusually quiet. Honestly he was excited. People often whispered about how he always looked so alive in battle- some even said he looked more beautiful the more dangerous the situation.

Kano Eida Kano indeed caught the glass jar as he didn't question what it was as he simply put it away in one of his pockets. With a nod he jumped into the tree's and knew that Haku would keep up and so the whole night they did not exchange any words until at long last the reached the end of the forest and reached the nearest city, Kitsuki. Kano stayed perched on the branch while looking down at the vast city before looking over to Haku. "We'll have to be in disguise, this is a Samurai district and if we walk around in our Shinobi wear they'll most likely capture us and kill us."
Jumping down he had quickly changed his clothing as he dressed as a merchant and he looked to Haku and suggested, "Perhaps you aught to wear a kimono. I brought one in case you don't have one. It'll be easier to pose as husband and wife so that there won't be anyone seeing us as suspicious. However if you do not wish to do so then we enter separately and meet at that Inn." He said pointing over at the location he spoke of. He would wait to see if Haku would be willing to pose as a woman or not. It would be easy for everyone to think he was female after all.

Haku Tetsuya Haku followed along silently, stopping when Kano did to look down at the city- knowing full well that they would have to go in disguise though he... didn't really like the idea of dressing as a woman... still it did make sense and it would make moving around the city a lot easier. "I didn't bring one with me- So I'll use the one you brought" He murmured, accepting the Kimono from Kano when he handed it to him. He didn't bother to shy away from Kano as he changed, actually managing to put the Kimono on properly himself- he'd seen many ladies do so after all. He pulled the two metal hair pieces from his hair, letting his long crimson locks fall freely... It made him appear more feminine after all- and now there was a gentle wave to his hair. "It's not like it's very far from the truth hmm?" He voiced, pulling his hair over one shoulder with a sigh. "This will save time and trouble after all... Lets go" He added, brushing past Kano as he headed onto the actual path and towards the city. The moment the two of them stepped foot in the city they drew attention - probably because A. they made an attractive couple and B. Haku's long ginger hair was very, very eye catching. He kept his gaze down cast, deep green orbs shaded by thick lashes "So, where to?" He voiced softly, keeping his tone hushed and gentle.... He couldn't go talking loudly here- not if he wanted to keep his gender a secret.

Kano Eida While they walked he ignored the stares they were getting as he looked over and motioned with a tilt of his head to a building, "That tea shop." He walked in after letting Haku walk in forth as he let him sit then sat next to him while the tea shop owner who was a quirky young woman came over and asked what they wanted. Kano looked over to Haku, "What would you like dear?" He let Haku pick what he wanted before looking to the woman, "I'll have the same as my wife along with some dumplings."
After she left Kano spoke softly to Haku, "We'll be here for a while so take your time with drinking your tea and eat some of the dumplings. We need to take note of any rumors. This tea shop is popular so they get a lot of men coming in here talking about all kinds of things. There is a rumor that my village is being targeted by the lord of this district. If you hear anything that I miss be sure to let me know." The woman returned as she handed them their tea cups and poured tea for them and placed the plate of dumplings down.
Kano thanked her and took a sip of the tea, listening to the chitter chatter as so far there was nothing pertaining to his village or any allied clans.

Haku Tetsuya Haku took his seat in the tea shop- still not extremely hungry but he figured he should make himself eat- it was better than fainting because he was foolish enough not to eat on a mission. He smiled at the girl, a kind smile that really did make him look more like a lady than a man "A bowl of beef ramen... Just a small one for me" He voiced gently, before he turned his gaze to Kano as he ordered the same thing. "I see...alright" He cooed gently, smiling at the girl as she returned with the tea and dumplings. He sipped at his tea as well, managing to eat one dumpling, and then the soup arrived. He took his time on that- still listening to the people within the teashop without making it noticeable at all. Every now and then he would strike up a small conversation with Kano, before returning to his food. Thus far he hadn't heard anything, but this seemed like a popular little place... A few more minutes passed when a group of rather boisterous men walked in, earning a bit of attention from Haku before his gaze moved back to Kano, his brows raising slightly. They smelled like blood to him... It was subtle but he knew they were killers of some sort- and he had a feeling Kano would have noticed as well. He then turned his gaze back to his soup to simply listen, still picking at his food slowly.

Kano Eida Kano knew it would be a while until they would get anything useful but soon enough it would seem that they would be able to get some information after all. Smelling the blood as well he gave a small unnoticeable nod to Haku mouthing that they should listen in on what those men were talking about. He would take a sip of his tea every now and then, shutting his eyes as if enjoying it but he only did so in order to concentrate more on what the loud men were talking about. It would seem that one of them identified himself to be the Lord's page. They seemed to have come to the right place at the right time so Kano was pleased they got here in time.
The men only talked about useless things however looking at them with his peripheral vision he could see that the man had looked around to ensure no one was listening to him and his men. Kano managed to hear the man speak lowly, "Let's talk about this privately. We'll get a room at the Inn down the street and talk there. It's about that Eida clan." The other men nodded as they finished their tea and headed out.
After five minutes of waiting Kano left money on the table and left with Haku. He walked to the Inn with him as they made sure to go unnoticed. Once inside he had glanced around and took note of what room the men were given and where it was at this Inn. Kano had been here several times before so he knew this place rather well. After giving a rather unquestioning reason as to why he asked for a particular room, he then went with Haku and walked in. There they could hear the loud men in the other room.
"This should be very helpful," he spoke softly to Haku as he crouched by the wall and listened closely.
"So what does the Lord have in mind?" One asked as they seemed to finally get down to business.
"Well there's been a lot of talk about attacking them along with possibly other's since ninja's are becoming a problem. He's getting other's to join in as well as trying to get the Lord of the capital to support us."
"That makes sense, those lowly people need to be taken out and we can certain expand and have more towns set up on their lands once they're taken out."
"For now we're only preparing for a possible attack but it's not set in stone."
Kano's eyebrows furrowed as he figured this would happen eventually. He was pretty angered from hearing what they were talking about that he stood up too quickly and ended up knocking the pot he was crouched by. He quickly caught it but it banged against the wall slightly. That was his fault and he would scold himself for that later.
"What was that?"
"I think someone is listening in on us in the next room."
"Go check it out!"
Acting quickly, Kano grabbed Haku and gently put him on the floor as he took his clothes off...well he kept his pants on as he then pulled Haku's kimono open enough to pull it down and expose his shoulders. He pulled him close and kissed him deeply, pressing Haku close against his body.
Two men opened the door and when they did he was hoping Haku understood what Kano was up too and react as any person would in this position. Looking up Kano glared at the men who had averted their eyes thinking they were disturbing a couple in the middle of something.
"Is there something you need?" He asked them as they shook their heads.
"Not at all, we simply heard something and thought...never mind, sorry we disturbed you and your..." They weren't sure if he was with his wife or a random woman.
Kano quickly responded, "My wife."
With a nod they shut the door. Kano sat up and fixed his clothes as he stood up, grabbing his bag. "Alright, I think we got enough information today. We'll head to our (the clan) safe house and stay there tonight." Kano waited for Haku to be decent again and then headed off to the safe house.

Haku Tetsuya Haku had simply followed along like an obedient 'wife' which seemed to be fooling everyone else so far. Once in the room he let himself relax, crouching next to Kano as they listened to the conversation- his brows furrowing slightly as well, though he was a bit startled when Kano stood. And then everything happened too quickly for him to really keep up until Kano had him pinned basically and he was pulled against the other in a rather deep kiss. A soft noise rose from his throat though the door was quickly slammed open and Kano pulled away to glare at the men, leaving Haku to catch his breath and tug up his kimono one hand- playing the bashful bride- though his cheeks were already scarlet red. When the men left and Kano stood, fixing his clothing as he did so Haku remained on the floor, sitting there with his fiery red locks blocking his face- though his cheeks still burned. "Y-yeah- okay" He muttered, keeping his head down as he fixed his kimono and stood, letting out a long breath that he had been holding. Well- he hadn't expected that. Never had he been pushed down like that and...never had he been kissed liek that. Sure he had gotten kisses on the cheek and such but that was...well- unexpected, and mildly embarrassing. He followed Kano to the safe house silently, keeping a few paces away- and once they were there he excused himself and went into a separate room, standing in front of a wall, before he tapped his forehead against it lightly and squeezed his eyes shut 'Get yourself together haku. It was just a kiss- and it was just to save our asses' he told himself in his head, though his heart was still beating at an irregular pace.

Kano Eida Now being in the safe house, Kano could relax a bit but he never ever let his guard down. Once he had entered the house he has searched every room, every nook and cranny to make sure no one had come in and that no one was hiding here, waiting to try another assassination. With Haku in another room he sat down and began to write a letter to send back to his village so that they could prepare just in case an attack does happen while Kano is away doing this mission. There was still some work to be done as he was planning on going to sneak into the Lord's house the next day during the night to see what he can find. He was hoping to get any sort of letters or plans for the attack that might happen on Eida.
After the letter was done and sent off to the village, Kano took the time to spread out the futons so that he and Haku could sleep as they both had a futon each so that they didn't end up sleeping together, not that Kano really minded. His thoughts then went back to the Inn where he had kissed Haku and he couldn't get his mind off of how the males lips felt. A light red hue appeared on his face as he shook his head and tried not to think of it. Now was not the time to be distracted after all.
Standing he went to where Haku was, "I'll make us some dinner, you can change and rest in the room, I set up the beds." With that he left to the small kitchen where he would cook some miso soup and steam some rice. There wasn't much to cook so they would have to go into town later and buy some supplies.

Haku Tetsuya Haku turned when he heard Kano approach, somehow managing to get himself under wraps and his warm cheeks had cooled to a normal temperature. "Ah..okay, thank you." He muttered, figuring he would have been the one to make dinner...not that he minded- he would do it tomorrow then. He watched Kano leave before he turned to dig through his pack, producing a pair of baggy black pants and a loose black shirt- slipping them on which probably just made the males frame seem even smaller but...well, it was comfortable. Once he finished changing the red head wandered into the room with the futons and plopped down on one of them, crossing his legs as he let his gaze wander...a yawn suddenly pulling his lips apart. 'I'll just lay down till foods done' he stated silently before he curled up on the futon, his long red hair splaying out around him. He had only intended on laying down for a bit but it seemed he dozed off in his sleep, managing to roll over and mess up his own futon, cuddling up with his pillow instead of using it for his head.

Kano Eida With the food being simple to make it didn't take long for it to be read. Kano made his way over to the room and spotted Haku sleeping there and seeing out the futon was already a mess as the male seemed to sleep as he pleased. Kano was a stiff sleeper as he laid in one spot and laid there the whole time though he hardly really ever slept. Quietly walking in he looked down at the red head and tilted his head slightly just staring at the other. Haku really did look fragile and feminine, and it was no surprise why people were staring at them today. He certainly was a unique fellow.
Kneeling down he leaned down until his face was mere inches away from Haku's as his eyes scanned down to the males lips. Kano took that moment to steal another kiss though this time it was light, soft and quick as he pulled his face back in time since Haku had probably sensed someone and was now awake. Kano was still fairly close to his face as he simply said, "The food is ready." Now back on his feet he went out and had the food set up and ready to eat.
