Cooro Cooro

The woman gave a soft chuckle before nodding, "Of course, dear, if it makes you feel better then I will tag along." She said, giving the boy a once over. His clothing was currently stained in blood, his hand injured, not to mention he appeared to be rather hungry the way that he was stuffing himself with the food from the banquet table. It made her think that he really should be allowed to stay for a little while longer, so that he could rest up, eat his fill, and otherwise enjoy himself. She would see to other things that he might need later, they had to worry about his hand first she reminded herself, pushing up to her feet, "You needn't worry, little one, there is no need for you to pay. I am sure that Johan will see it as a good chance to put his magic to use helping someone. Peisio are quite good at doing just that, their healing skills are remarkable."

She turned to look over at two who were standing by, waiting for her orders, and she gave them a nod before she said, "Come along now, the three of you, and follow me. We are going to go somewhere a bit less crowded to make this easier on our little guest here." She told the trio of male Dovaa, turning on her heel, and led the way out of the more crowded part of the house.

They headed for another room, this one just a study from the looks of it, and the doors were closed behind them. The Firani woman moved to sit down on one of the couches in the room then motioned to Yrre to come forward, "Now, we are going to see about looking over that hand of yours now." The fact that a seamstress, one that should be sewing cloth, not flesh, had tended to his wound worried her. Thread that a seamstress used wasn't meant to be used on the body, it could very well cause an infection. Just the thought of that bothered her but given the state of things she doubted he exactly had the money to pay for a real doctor now did he? She motioned to the boys and said, "Yrre, you will hold your hand up and out, Johan will stand in front of you and work on the healing process, while Karayan stands behind you just in case. While healing isn't a painful process it will still feel quite odd. I want him to be there to catch you in case you collapse. Everyone understand?"

Karayan and Johan nodded in sync before moving to their places, waiting on Yrre so that they could behind.

"Right, right, Peisio.." He wasn't sure if he trusted them or not, but it actually began to hurt now. There was pain, creeping up his hand, throbbing, and moving into his shoulder, knotting up there and he couldn't keep back a little whimper. The old woman's words were so kind, so sweet, that Yrre trusted her fully, even if the men around her seemed to be just.. Weird.

He followed her, holding his arm closer to his chest in a cradling motion, for a moment and holding out the hand as she had asked. Why couldn't he have grown up in such a fashion where he had an entire family around to hug him, nurture him when he's like this. He wouldn't have to struggle with just living.

"Stand behind me.. I don't know how I feel about that.. But alright... I trust you to make sure not to hurt me, okay?" With a deep breath, he tried to relax, feeling like both men were too close. Atleast the one behind him was close enough to catch him.. And he felt warm. Maybe if he was a little closer, he could lean against him. It would be nice to actually relax..

The older woman gave a bit of a chuckle hen she saw the look on Yrre's face, "It will be alright, nothing to worry about dear." She said, not wanting for him to worry about what was going to happen, it was going to be a quite fix... though it really was a shame, just look at those hands. They were tiny and had already seen such violence, violence that went as far as to take a pair of his fingers away. How she wanted to find the one responsible and give them a sound thumping. A thought she kept to herself since she didn't want to worry him anymore, he already looked as though he were quite wary of the lot of them. The last thing the little one needed was for her to lose her temper.

Before him the Peisio set down the jug of water that he was carrying at his feet, then set to gather his magic for a moment. Once he had enough of the dark blue energy gathered he used it to enchant the water in the jug, drawing it out, manipulating it into an oblong shape, "This will be cold but it shouldn't hurt too much, maybe a bit at first but then it will feel quite soothing." Johan said before the water moved forward, engulfing Yrre's hand and wrist, before it started to churn and glow. He had been practicing with his Peisio magic for some time now, dealing with various injuries that his extended family had received in battles, duels, as well as more simple things like younger cousins getting skinned knees. This was the first time he could recall ever dealing with something being removed though.

He gave Yrre a momentary glanced, keeping his hands moving in the right way that would cause the water to continue flowing around the wounded hand, "There is nothing I can do about the fingers, I am sorry. Even a powerful Peisio couldn't make something out of nothing." He said, feeling bad that he couldn't heal the kid but knew that it was better to let him know then have him hopeful that his fingers would magically reappear. As much as he wished it possible that sort of power was out of his hands.

Karayan looked to his cousin a moment, surprised when he said that he couldn't get the fingers back for Yrre. Awww, poor little Fekarat! He would need to deal with that forever, huh? It really did make him want to punch whoever had been the cause of it. Instead though he kept his hands hovering just behind Yrre's back, close enough that the boy could likely feel the heat from them, and he gave him a smile, "You are doing really good." He reassured him, wanting for him to trust them, as well as trust in the fact that they weren't going to harm him in anyway.

As the healing continued Kara suddenly asked, "Can Yrre stay the night? I am sure he'd enjoy hanging out, eating with us, maybe getting a bath then some sleep before he goes fruit picking right?" He suggested to his Gram, then quickly added, "Oh! I figured that it would be alright if he filled his basket with stuff from the garden, that's alright, right? I mean there is a ton of it."

The woman gave a smile and said, "So long as he wants to... and I don't mind, the Ysali Dovaa of the family keep the garden in tip top shape, it means lots of fruit to be had by the family. No reason we can't spare a basket full here and there."

"It's easy to say not to worry, but it'll always be there.. That's just how life is, I guess." No matter how sweet her words were, or how patient she was with him, Yrre found it hard to relax. A soft, irritated chuckle came from him when Johan talked about how his finger wouldn't come back. Something out of nothing? He knew that! Fingers didn't grow on trees, after all!

"I know that.. I didn't expect them too. I'm not THAT young or naive to think so. My fingers are probably baowi crap by now. Eaten and digested, and probably lying in a pile of dung in some back alley. Water fingers would be terrible anyway. My pastries would always be mush." He wasn't ashamed to say it, and watched with a slight disinterest at the person working on his hand. Certainly THAT would get a reaction out of them. And any reaction he could get from someone was always a good reaction.

Soon enough, the cool water on his hand began to soothe the pain, and he became drowsy, making a bitter sound, but allowing himself to rest against the tall man behind him. Kara made for a decent pillow, all things considered, but he still thought that the man was weird. And then he opened his big mouth. Blabbering on about him spending the night and being fed like some homeless brat on the streets. He HAD a home. Maybe a terrible one, but a home nonetheless.

"Hey.. I didn't ask for any of that.." When did his words grow so tired and pitiful sounding. It was this Peisio guy doing all this to him, draining him of his energy! But it felt SO GOOD not to hurt anymore! He was just relaxing now fully against whatever this big ol' weirdo was. And they DID mention more food.. And an actually hot bath.. and a nice, soft, CLEAN bed to sleep in. He wondered vaguely if it would be rude to pretend to sleep all day and do what he wanted at night, so that he could leave before they bothered him more in the morning. That would be oh so fantastic. "I guess if you ARE offering, I can stay..." His brother wouldn't care about him anyway. Maybe he had even hoped he wouldn't come home.

All three of the older Dovaa seemed to go silent as Yrre spokt of his fingers and where he felt that they likely were at the time. They exhanged looked, then the Peisio said, "Well, it seems as this one holds no delusions about what magical is capabale of. Admirable, even if his language is a little crude." His hands once more took up their work, keeping the water flowing once more as it had faltered for a moment when Yrre spoke up. He took in the way that the boy set to leaning into Karayan, something that the Gaili responded to by wrapping an arm around the boy to keep him from falling.

"You alright, Yrre? Hmm, maybe he should get a nap before he gets dinner and a bath?" He suggested, sure he was a bit dirty and it might mean cleaning the sheets but really he didn't mind. He would even do that if it was required of him. So long as the cute little Fekarat was made comfortable he thought to himself. It seemed that Yrre wasn't pleased at first, telling them that he didn't ask for any of it... but after a time he finally agreed. It seemed that despite him claiming not to ask for it that he would be more then happy to accept what they were offering him. It made Karayan smile a bit before he said, "Heh, he's pretty cute, isn't he? I'd adopt you if I were old enough, little Fekarat."

Lifting his gaze he asked of his cousin, "Done?" He knew nothing about healing others so he wasn't quite sure when it came to such magics. It was only after Johan finally nodded, giving him the okay that he was done, that Kara scooped Yrre up into his arms, "There we go! How about I bring you to where you can lay down? You can rest up for a bit while I get you something to eat, then we can see about that bath that I mentioned. Hm, I will need to find you clean clothing too... I am sure there is something around for you to wear." He mused to himself as he turned to look over at his Gram who was pushing up to her feet.

"Do take good care of him, Karayan, and try to scare him. I know you can get when you are excited over something." She said, then gave Yrre a smile, "Feel free to stay as long as you like, our house is always open to you. For now though I will need to excuse myself, the family is waiting. Lots of people to entertain and so little time to do so." She gave the boy a little pat on the head before she headed out of the room.

After sending the used water outside through an open window, feeling it was fit only for plants to drink, Johan nodded at them, "I am off too. If you need any further healing just call for me." He gave his cousin a glance then said, "Be nice to him and don't stress him out, he needs to rest and relax now." He told him before heading out as well.

"Hey, so what if I'm crude.. I have no reason to act like something I'm not right now." Even if that was half true, he didn't care right now. The water was soothing, and Kara's arms were warm. When Kara mentioned the nap, he nodded slightly in agreement, though he hissed at the motion of being adopted. If he had let these people go and 'claim' him, then he'd be force to listen to them, and maybe even learn to be a 'proper' kid. Yrre could just imagine all those opportunities.. But no, he couldn't. He had to make his own, a little help was okay, but no, he wouldn't be some sob fairy-tale story! He'd make his own.

Immediately after his hand was released, he pulled it back to before his face, baffled at how amazingly the magic worked. There was no more pain there, and it looked like the stitches were gone as well. Now they were just empty spaces. He could just imagine the look on his brother's face; in his drunken' stupor, he'd scream 'We have no money?! How the hell did you afford this! You'd been stealing!' Geh.. He would have to cut his hands up before he went home.. Find some new bandages and bloody them up. At least this will be better for business! Non-bloodied things probably sold better than having the occasional drip drop in places.

Yrre turned his gaze up to the giant man who had picked him up as if he was just a sack of cake flour. Yeah, he was light, but was he that much so that he could be thrown around like this? Damn, it felt so nice though. And after finally relaxing, he felt safe. He felt that if he were to lose consciousness, which he was borderline on doing so, they'd keep him safe. And this idiot would still be there. It was a nice thought. He only gave a slight wave to the two who left him alone with the giant man, then turned his gaze back up to him, finally taking a moment to admire just how strong he was. Despite how big of an idiot he came off as being, he truly did have such kind expression, and a gentleness he had not expected.

"You keep talking about giving me a bath and new clothes. I'm not THAT dirty. It's just blood. I took a cold scrub in a bucket last night." Neither he or his brother had very much access to fire magic, and he had always been too late to deal with the firewood that it would have taken to start a fire. He'd never go back out in the dark of the night, not after the last time. "But.. If you insist.. I'd like a bath first. Then a nap, then a snack. Then I'll go home. I don't need to be here when it gets dark."

Karayan gave a smile as he walked along, "I don't mean to make you sound all flithy or something, I just thought a bath might be nice?" He supposed that there wasn't THAT much dirt on him, right? Still, a bath could be useful for helping him relax after having deal with that wound he had on his hand. The poor thing, he just wanted to hug him and make him feel better! Of course he somehow saw the little Dovaa punching him were he to voice the idea. Instead he figured it best to just take care of him and make sure that he was comfortable. He was happy with him staying as long as he liked, it would give him a friend to chat with, and maybe he'd want to go on some dragons hunts! It had been a while since he'd gone hunting with anyone else and he felt that was in order, the last time he had was with Madryn... a thought that saddened him just a bit since he doubted that the Orderite boy would be in the condition to hunt for a while.

When he agreed to finally wanting a bath, first in fact, then his nap after that, and finally the snack, Kara gave a nod of his head, "Alright, bath first." He said, turning to head in the direction that would take them to where the baths were located, "Here we are. I will set you down and get everything going for you." He said once they were inside, setting Yrre down so he was sitting on a bench seat that was against the wall before he moved to the big tub with the dragon feet, turning the water on, getting it going before he dumped in some of the oils that made a person feel better and supposedly promoted relaxation. He couldn't say he ever noticed them working on him but maybe they would work on Yrre? Might as well try it out.

Once the water was going he headed across the room, digging around in the cabinet to get out some towels and a wash rag, "Alright! Here we go!" He chirped, setting the towels on the bench as well after hanging the wash cloth on the edge of the table, "Alright! Strip down and hop it!" He said, giving him a smile, giving a motion with his hand toward the tub that was still filling up. It was big enough that it appeared a few people could sit in it comfortably so it might take a little bit to fill.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 21, 2014 11:58 pm

While being carried, Yrre went quiet, his hand coming up to grip onto Kara's clothing. Why was he so warm?! And why was the only thing he wanted to do was to be held by him more and more. If the man wanted to hold him, right now, at this moment, it would have been okay. Maybe if he eased up on the irritated-ness, Kara would coddle him more. It wasn't as if anyone he knew would know about this. He could enjoy it in secret. And yet, it was over before it even started, and he was sat down on the bench, leaning against the wall and struggling to keep focused.

The bathroom smelled amazing, scented in all sorts of flowers that he could hardly place. His eyes hardly left Kara as he moved about, still speaking to him excitedly. Was he even really here anymore? It felt like his mind was floating peacefully in a fluffy fog. That was, until Kara told him to strip.

In an instant, his cheeks flared up, and he gripped tightly onto his bloodied clothing, pulling them tighter around him. Sure, he trusted him and his family now, but no one had seen him naked since he was five!

"H-how about you leave, and THEN I get in the tub? You need to go find me clothes to wear anyway, don't you?"

Cooro Cooro

Karayan cocked his head to one side as he found himself getting banished from the bathing chambers by Yrre. He was told that he needed to find Yrre something to wear, something that had him nodding, "Oh, yeah! I will go and do that. I will get Ember too! I bet she would love to meet you!" He chirped, turning on his heel and headed out of the bathing chambers quickly, heading out to find both something for Yrre to wear as well as find Ember. She was more then likely either still outside, camping in the fruit trees, or she was in the main room mooching food off the family. Clothing first though, since it was quite important and something that Yrre needed. He found himself wondering if he should see to it that Yrre's clothing was cleaned. The blood stains may or may not come out, that was the problem, but he supposed that the cleaning of said clothes could at least be attempted, right?

Heading into one of the various rooms in the house he set to digging around through the different closests and dressers, looking for what it was that he needed at the moment. It took him a few tries to find things that appeared as though they would be the right size before he grabbed up a few different things, not sure which one Yrre would want to wear. A wide range of clothing game the little Dovaa options and might keep him from getting grouchy because one thing was too cute or something along those lines. He really was an angry little Fekarat.

Heading back to his room he leaned out the window and gave a whistle, "Ember? Are you out here?" He called, whistling again and finally got the results he was looking for, that being the chirping sound of the little fairy dragon that came flying over to him. She came to land on his head, complaining a bit, likely about him running off with Yrre. Giving her a smile and a pat on the head he said, "Be nice you spoiled little thing. He was in need of some help." He told her before he headed back to the bathing chambers, clothing in his arms.

Upon arrival he lifted a hand, giving a knock on the door before he stepped in, "I'm back! I found a few different things for you to pick from. I think that they all should fit you pretty well." He said, walking over to the bench to deposite all of the clothing he'd found before turning back to Yrre to check up on him, "How are you doing?"

"I don't want some random person coming in here!!" It was too late though, the crazy huge dova had already gone, leaving the half-asleep boy standing alone in the bathing chambers. Oh well.. Atleast he could get naked and in the tub.. And it was so warm and amazing! It just engulfed the young dovaa in an instant, swirling him around in myriad of clouded water and scents. He couldn't even remember the last time he had a hot bath.. Or an almost filled stomach. It was just.. Amazing.

He didn't really bother to wash. He just floated there, moving around in a lazy motion, then going to turn the water off before it began to over flow. It was so deep too, coming up to almost his neck when he sat still on a seat. after relaxing, and after taking a moment to finally think about what all had happened so far today, he almost regretted sending the man away so quickly. It was lonely, after all, and even if he didn't want to admit it.

And then, he came back. with some weird little creature he had never seen before. Swimming over to where the man was with the thing, he leaned against the tub, his elbows propping him up.

"I'm doing alright. Feeling better. I haven't had a hot bath in forever." He didn't care too much about the clothes. Something loose and warm was all that mattered. But that weird thing..

"What is that? It looks warm coals.." He wasn't going to mention that he had originally thought 'worm'. No, of course not. That would have been rude.

Karyan glanced up at the one sitting on his head, then gave a grin, "That's Ember! Isn't she cute? She's a Fae Dragon!" He said, lifting a hand up to scratch her under the chin before he walked to where Yrre was soak, squatting down next to the tub, resting his hands on the edge of it, "So! How is the bath? Everything good We can add extra hot water to it if it starts to cool down on you and you still want to soak for a bit." He told him, checking the water before shaking his hand dry. It still felt warm enough so he didn't think that they had to worry about adding any extra water to the tub quite yet at least. Maybe in a bit, but for the moment it was feeling fine.

"Since we got your some clothing and towels, all you have to do now is just soak and enjoy yourself." Karayan told his new friend, "Once you are done you can lay down and get some sleep, or get a snack then sleep. Whatever order you like." He chuckled at that, not really minding what order then did anything in. So long as the little fekarat was alright and enjoyed himself while staying with them that was what mattered most. The fact that he was healed up now should help or so he hoped.

Settling down more comfortably next to the tub he waited to see what Yrre wanted to do next, if he would rather soak a while more or if he was more eager to get to his snack, or his nap, it was still a bit early in the night for Karayan to sleep since he was so used to staying up late due to the parties his family had. Still, he didn't mind tucking Yrre in so that he could sleep, feeling that he might keep a more normal schedule then the people here did. As he sat there, waiting to see what he wanted to do, Ember hoped down from Karayan's head, landing on the edge of the tub, then hoped into the water to splash around, something that had the Gaili laughing a bit at her, "Ember! You should ask first! No just hopping in!" He said when he was able to calm his laughter, reaching in to scoop her out, "Don't mind her, she is a fan of hot bathes too." He explain to Yrre as he contended with the now pouting Ember.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2014 3:21 pm

"She's warm looking, like I said. Like embers. I guess you named her well." Though it was not much of a compliment, it was the best that Yrre ever gave anyone, so if Karayan said anything about it he was certain never to do it again. But the big ol' man seemed nice enough about it, and he leaned in close, just smiling and grinnin' all the while. Yrre could not help but smile back at him, drifting lazily in the water.

"Thank you. I don't think I'll spend the night though.. My brother might get angry. I'll just take the clothes, take some food, then be out of your hair. Or what of it you have." He was ALMOST there, almost to the point of laughing again, when that foul beast of a thing jumped into the water and he screamed, scrambling away from it. It wasn't as if the thing was that large, or even that scary, but Yrre couldn't stop the fear that crawled along his spine and hands at Ember's sudden movement. The attack he experienced was still too fresh in his mind..

"Dammit, keep your pet under control! I already lost two fingers, I'm not about to lose more!"

Karayan looked a bit disappointed when Yrre said that he couldn't spend the night, that his older brother would be angry, "Ohhh... would it help if I went with you to ask?" He wondered if maybe he wasn't allowed to stay because his older brother wouldn't know where he was or who he was with. Kara didn't mind going along with him to tell his brother where he'd be and that he would be happy to take care of him until morning, or well afternoon since he tended to stay up all night. Giving a thoughtful sound he said, "If you have to go though we can pack you some food to take with you, there is always plenty."

He was just saying that when Yrre seemed to have his bad reaction to Ember, seeming as though he was less then pleased with her diving in... and Ember didn't seem happy either. The scream caused her to fly off to land on top of the cabinet where the towels were kept and Karayan looked between the two of them in a slightly confused manner, "I... ahh... huh..." That didn't go well, did it? Seemed as though Yrre wasn't a fan of dragons even in such a small, compact size. Didn't he know that compared to a real dragon that she wasn't all that intimidating? Well, maybe not. Yrre might not have fought any of them yet after all.

"Sorry, she is used to playing in the tub when I take a bath, she must have though since I was here that it was fine for her to hop in." He said, giving Yrre a lopsided smile, "You don't have to worry though, Ember doesn't bite... well, she nips me on occasion if I don't give her the treasures she wants but that is just me. She wouldn't n** at you." Unless he suddenly had a handful of jewels that he wouldn't share with her but he saw no reason to make mention of that.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 01, 2014 7:57 pm

"NO!" Just a little too quickly he responded to Kara's question. The stupidly happy man didn't need to see what desolation his home was. He didn't need to see the filth that he came from. It would only bring more pity, and he had enough of it. "I-i mean, no, I should go home."

"Doesn't matter, doesn't matter.. I should just go home, I should go." Grabbing the closest towel within reach, he wrapped it around himself, pushing further away from both the tiny dragon and the man who had been so kind to him. It felt gross, so terrible to be fleeing away from him in such a manner, but at the same time, what else could he do? This man was more than willing to keep him, and quite frankly.. Yrre would have been willing to go to him. But not now, not when he still had his brother to take care of.. Not when so much fear still grasped his heart. It was so stupid.. So very stupid!

He looked around for his old clothes, the bloodied ones. If he were to take the clean ones.. Well, that would mean coming back here. He'd have to give them back, and he wasn't about to let anyone follow him back here. These people were happy, and yeah, he was jealous, but he couldn't ruin that.

"Hey, were are my old clothes?"

Karayan looked more then a little confused as Yrre was suddenly scrambling out of the tub and away from him, making him feel as though he'd said something wrong. Pushing up to his feet he watched the other rush around, looking as if he meant to leave right this moment, "I... huh? You should go? You mean now?" He asked, wondering why he wanted to leave already, "What about food and a nap? Weren't you wanting that?" Had he said something wrong? Did he not want to stay now because he was asking about his brother? Maybe he didn't think Kara good enough to meet his brother? Something that bothered him just a bit.

"Huh? Oh, they were all dirty so I brought them to get cleaned up. Do the new ones not work? Will they not fit?" He had thought he'd guessed right but it would appear as though he had missed the mark as far as clothing for Yrre went. Shaking his head, the decorations on his horns jingling as he did, he then said, "We can find you something else if you would prefer? There are plenty of other things to look through. I mean I'd offer you something of mine but there is a bit of a size difference." He waved a hand over his own head as he said that. If they were the same size, maybe, but as it was Yrre would be swimming in his clothing.
