"So be it grouch. Don't come near my mate." She turned and left. It had hurt to say that but her fear for Caderyn overroad her need to risk her own life by antagonizing the infuriating male any more. He was hers to protect now and she would not let that Heart Render come near him.
She trotted back to Caderyn. "We will have to move soon. I don't want to be anywhere near here when he comes out of his stupor." She brushed her neck against his. "I'm confused and hurt, but as ever you are here to comfort me."

Caderyn watches her go after the other male. Yet her words do imply she will come back so that eases some of the worry. Though not all of it as he worries that the other male will attack her. Will she choose the other male? Thinking of the words spoken he doesn't get the impression she will go with the other male. Yet if that is her wish he would understand. Yet he is going with the hope that she will be with him. He would rather think positively on this rather than negatively. After all there has been so much hostility already. Looking to the tree he squints trying to see where Rin is. The dragon is not to be found. Either he found a good hiding spot in the tree or he fell asleep.
Hearing the soft sound of hoofbeats upon the earth his gaze turns to watch as Onyxa comes up to him. Nodding he actually puts his neck over hers and gives a light squeeze before letting go. "Yes, Moving is our best option at the moment. We will have to collect Rin from that tree first." Glancing back at the tree he can see some movement. After a moment of thinking he faces Onyxa giving her his full attention."I will always be here for you Onyxa. As long as I am able. It is understandable that you are feeling this way. What he said was cruel. Yet I am glad that you had gotten the answers for the questions which you've been mulling over for such a long time. "
As Caderyn speaks, Rin long makes his way down the tree and walks over looking around making sure no stallion is around that is out to hurt him. Climbing up Caderyn he moves to where he can get onto Onyxa's back to perch there. He waits as Caderyn doesn't seem to be done speaking.
"I don't know when I started falling for you Onyxa. But I love you . I hold more respect for you than any other azerin that I've encountered. I don't expect to hear such things back. Though I know you care deeply about me too. Now.. I think we should get going. Put some distance between us and Zedkiel. " Caderyn gives one last nudge before moving forward.
Rin lays against Onyxa's back as he watches Caderyn."Caderyn and I aren't going anywhere okay? We will help you get through this. Oh and I hope you don't mind me perching on you for now. You have a smoother gait than that big lump over there. Now come on dearie. Let's get moving before that scary stallion comes back."

Onyxa was very touched when Caderyn gave her that hug, exactly when she needed it. Her mind and heart were reeling and here was her knight in shining armor waiting for her to return to him. His words hit deep. "Thank you Caderyn, that means so much to me." And it did, a dependable, loving, sexy male was all she ever wanted. If she had only been home with Zed when the attack came.. well things would have been different. But they hadn't and here she was with Caderyn. Her decision had been made.
She was stunned as he continued to talk, she realized she had fallen in love with him too. "I-I love you too Caderyn, thank you for believing in me, trusting me to return to you." Tears trickled down her cheeks.
She fully relaxed when sweet Rin climbed onto her back. "Of course I don't mind sweet thing, you may ride there whenever you feel like it." In truth she felt showered in adoration between the two of them. It felt like home. She could travel everywhere except the vampire herd lands and be at home, as long as Caderyn and Rin were with her.
It still rankled a little bit that she was forbidden to go somewhere, she would miss the little ones in the herd and Zed himself, maybe if she ever stopped being mad at him for threatening to kill her. He was the one she had died for to begin with. Now she was all cold and clammy and living off of bunnies and deer. She had chosen Zed, Zed had chosen the herd that was not exactly "helpless". So he had run in the daylight, it had still taken him months to find her.
Onyxa bent her head back, banishing thoughts of her old life, her old flame, and nuzzled Rin. Every day looked brighter with a fuzzy dragon and her Caderyn.

Caderyn smiles gently and watches her fondly."You looked like you needed a hug.. and you deserved a sign of my gratitude. You could have done many things and I couldn't have faulted you. Yet you chose to come back to me. " When she tells him that she loves him back joy fills him. Grinning he nods."I have always believed your word was good. And I have faith in you. You are a smart mare Onyxa. I know whatever decisions you make there are reasons behind them."
Rin keeps steady on Onyxa's back and watches the couple. He is glad Caderyn found a mare like Onyxa. He would be lying if he said he hadn't been worried about the stallion finding love. With how indifferent the other is. Well Onyxa knows how hard it was to get him to really open up. "Thank you dearie. Now I think we should catch up to the big lump up there. The past will always have a way of creeping up on us. It's how we deal with it and move forward that counts."
Caderyn stops and looks back as he waits for Onyxa and Rin. His purple gaze soft and kind. "Onyxa. I would like to ask if you would be my lifemate when you are ready for such a step. I don't want you to feel rushed. I don't expect nor require a answer now.. Just consider it okay?"

"Such a philosopher Rin. I think you are right, a swift departure is needed." She stepped up the pace, catching up to Caderyn.
"I would be honored to be your lifemate Caderyn. I feel safer here then I did when I lived with the others, and I fell I fit in better here then with my old herd. And I love you."

Rin chuckles."I have my moments. I've learned from experiences I've had. I wasn't always with Caderyn ya know. I had a life before I met him. " He keeps a small claw around some of Onyxa's mane as she goes to catch up with Caderyn. The others purple eyes on him makes him feel as the other knows that he had referenced his own past. Caderyn being protective and all.
Caderyn shifts his gaze from Rin to Onyxa. He knows Rin's past and he knows how much Rin doesn't like talking of it. Though maybe someday he will share the story with Onyxa. Though right now he is still hurting even though it has been years since they have met and traveled together.
"That makes me happy to hear that. I will strive to always keep you happy." With that he pushes on moving northeast.
