He smiled, glad she liked it, and then thought about the concert. "Oh, yeah. Um, I sorta had to buy them last minute because I didn't even know they were touring. I didn't have time to buy you a t-shirt for the show so - I guess if you don't mind - you can wear one of my t-shirts? Unless you don't want to." He hadn't planned to suddenly be going to a concert with Rin this month so he hadn't managed to go out and buy her an ensemble of her own. There was a certain unspoken dress-code when going to one of these concerts, not that she would be stoned for wearing anything else. He just wanted to make sure she was comfortable.
"I can let you listen to their cd before we go so you know some of their songs." Since he tended to turn his music on full blast, he usually wore headphones or listened to his music in his lab late at night when no one was really around. Since he worked alone, it never bothered anyone. Well, aside from the Lifers in the neighboring labs when they were very irritable.

"That should be fine," Rin assured him. "I'd be happy to wear one of yours."
Rin shook her head however at the offer of hearing it before hand. She placed her hand on the back of his, "I think I'd rather be surprised." Part of her was worried she wouldn't like it and then she'd dread this thing he clearly enjoyed and was excited about sharing. She wanted it to be the new exciting adventure she felt it would be right now.
She rubbed the back of his hand affectionately, "can we please eat all kinds of junk food after too? I haven't had fast food in what feels like forever."

He smiled, turning his hands over to hold hears before leaning in to whisper in her ear. "Whatever you want. We can find a place nearby. Consider it a date." A concert and a easy dinner without all the glits and glam. It would be a stark contrast to Valentine's day, but he was still excited for it.
He took a hand, running it through her short hair, enjoying the faint smell of her shampoo before placing a hand down her back to rest at the base of her spin. "How about you try on some shirts for me? Hmmm?" He said with a small smile.

"If you think I can't see through that ploy, then you must really think I'm stupid," she teased. "But that doesn't mean no. I'd be glad to try on shirts for you."
Rin was already excited. Fancy flair and crystal glasses were nice now and then but not really her idea of a fun date. An adventure, yes, but she needed one with far less pressure and ease. She also couldn't really decide between fast food chains. It was hard when she missed so many.

Rin elbowed him in the side and ran to scurry down the stairs. She was going to race him back to the room.

He watched her suddenly sprint off. "Hey!"

He shut the door behind him and followed quickly after.
