Gerraden gave a thoughtful look around before gesturing to the forest floor. After all his large sword made it very awkward to attack from the tree tops. Perhaps he hadn't chosen an appropriate weapon to use in the forests of Jahaur but it had been his choice after all.

"We can have you ambush it if I distract it." Gerraden managed in a low whisper, moving on ahead slowly as he wanted to give Ray enough time to get into the trees and position himself. Though he hadn't seen the menzuri himself if Ray said that it must be around there somewhere it had to be. He just had to keep an eye out for it.

Withdrawing his sword from his back he felt strangely unprepared for this encounter.

Gerraden found himself a bit on the envoys side, after all not only did he had to kee an eye out for the Menzuri he also had to keep tabs on Ray's position as well his head strong pet. Stepping along he wondered how Rishima would feel about what they were doing. Surely he would frown and tell him it was a foolish thing to do.

Thinking on the hybrid he couldn't help but give a grin, and it was a little too late to note that Ray had stopped moving. He continued on for a few more steps his foot landing on so,ething that made an awful crunching sound. Looking down he shifted his feet to reveal that he had stood on animal bones. It looked like they belonged to a small creature. But surely he would of give. Away his position to the Menzuri now...

Ah well...he did say he was going to be he distraction right?

The sound of Rownin barking starteled Gerraden as he had never heard it make such a noise before. Even with his sword raised he shook his head and charged forward with the creature, after all he didn't want Ray to get angry with him if he let Rownin get eaten.

Giving his own sorts of battle cry to draw the menzuri's attention he only hoped that Ray had a plan.
