XD It's.. somewhere in Sauti... other than that Myrsky doesn't know! ;p Myrmyr isn't too bad... after you get past the prickliness. He can be helpful! Can we have them run into each other later? Like when Bar's returning from the meta's fight or something? This way Mry (who is lollygagging around and practicing magic) can meet him again and get more information?

"And what do these Drund look like? A lot of creatures sun themselves." Myrsky asked, what good was knowing they just sunned themselves? Details! Sounded like a tall tale to tell gullible newcomers! But he did know that there were venomous animals out there.. so maybe it was true.

"I am headed that way, battle or no. Might even be something interesting to see down there," Myrsky said though he kept his thoughts on the Obans to himself. Who was he to judge if he'd never met them? They could just be as clueless as his kind!

"Tell me what you know of Tale at least. Sauti is apparently an unknown to both but I may as well known what lies beyond it. Though for Sauti, I can tell you that," he pointed at a berry bush nearby that'd he'd already eaten from; "is edible. Other herbs," he reached into his pouch to pull out a small book; "l have samples of to show you and can tell you of the fuana in Zena. A trade of knowledge is agreeable." He was rather proud of his little book; it contained a few rough sketches of animals with notes on them as well as pressed leaves of plants that had properties he found interesting. After seeing Obalen's tomes and scrolls he'd always wanted to make one of his own! At least this half banishment half journey was allowing him to do so!

I would love to have them meet again. Though I have a class quest for BarAmal and a solo to do first. *he will have to make a new bow and keep some promises in Juhar so he doesn't turn into a sad depressing angry muse which would just annoy me. XD also nope I clearly haven't read the flora fauna section at all~~~

Fairly large squat bodied lizard creature. My mother told me about them and warned me to be on the lookout and never let one bit or lick me while I travel. Once the venom is inside it…” BarAmal made a wriggling motion with his hands folding inside out of one another. “eats away at you.” He shook his head. “we lost the fight and had to flee.” He rubbed his palm where he had managed to thawk himself with a discharging arrow. It had stopped hurting a long time ago but he still massaged the area when he thought of the fight and the loss at the hands of the obans.

His mind cleared and he managed a smile thinking of his home. “Very well. A trade it shall be then. The sand is a pure fine white that you could drift over. If you are so inclined you could also use it for an improtu shelter for the night if you care to dig out a small crevasse. Though I warn you the sand will get everywhere as you sleep. There is a hard spikey like grass you could use to dig if you want to take the time to break it to use. Be careful it’s not as easy as it looks further more there are leaf tribes who harvest from a number of areas so you might well be poaching. Be gentle and take only what you need if you want to make a good impression.” BarAmal was trying to make shapes with his hands and occasional drawings in the dirt around the rocks since he was not the kind to carry a book of plants with him. “Most who travel through think water is hard to find but it’s not, there is a soft pod like grass about this big in the hard grasses.” He gestured with his fingers. “inside of it is water and the pod can also be eaten. It’s a bit bland but some of the younger ones are somewhat sweet and it’s good for you. You can always tell how much water is in a pod before you pick it if you flick it or massage it gently with your fingers. You should feel the water inside shift. When it is at least half full is good time to pick if you are thirsty. There are a number of kinds of fruits and berries as well as nuts but if you are uncomfortable climbing I would suggest you learn to like the grass that you can eat.”

I've got to get him through his class quest as well XD Just finish a few pep's and he'll be ready!

Lost the fight? The sentence was buried in all the others but it snagged Myrsky's attention. How'd they win, through better tactics or weapons? or had the Tendaji leaders just not lead them right? More questions.. but not to ask this one; he's far too young to know anything of use! Myrsky thought hypocritically.

"I always only take what I need." Myrsky said with a frown. "One does not waste the bounty the earth provides! Nor cause damage by being greedy!" He was not some silly person who was greedy and only thought of profit like some people. It was insulting! But, Myrsky thought, maybe he's just giving a friendly warning, since the rest of the information given to him was quite useful!

"I am from the mountains; I can climb." He could scale cliffs be it rock or ice if he had the right equipment; climbing trees was easy! "Thank you for the information."

He opened his book to show the pressed leaves and scrawled notes and drawings. "The parts of Sauti I know are the mountainous regions. More like hills than true mountains, but there are valleys. Stick to the valleys as thats where water gathers. In the ponds and lakes within the valleys you'll find lilypads that are edible and quite tasty in addition to small fish. These plants;" he flipped the page over, "Are shrub like and their roots can be harvested and eaten. Most of the trees and shrubs either bear berries or nuts, so you can eat those as well." He only knew of plants, not really about the animals of that region... but Zena on the other hand.

"If you are going to Zena, do not worry about water as there is always snow you can melt. Do not rest in the open at night; you will freeze to death or get eaten. Instead find a cave." He went on to tell the other of the dangers of the cold, and the few plants one could fine at any time of year within the caves as well as ice fishing and a bit about the animals there.

oo yay! Good luck.

“Not all the world does such a thing.” BarAmal’s face was grim for a moment but cleared up quick enough. He wanted to point out that climbing cliffs was much different from climbing trees but instead he just bite the inside of his cheek. Still the other did thank him, yet he was fairly certain this ice tribe boy was going to do something stupid and get himself hurt.

BarAmal craned his neck to look at the leaves in the light of the fire. It was amazing. He rarely got the chance to see such things. It was nice to be able to see all the kinds of plants and hear the advice. He was surprised by the lack of animals, but that made sense if the other wasn’t much of a hunter. Sauti seemed like a good place though a bit different from his home some of the things he heard even matched what he already knew from his family. Zena though seemed like another world all its own. The idea it wasn’t safe to rest outside of a cave ever was strange. He didn’t even try to surprise at how the land worked. A shiver ran through the base of his spine. He had no intention of going to Zena for any period of time right now. Sauti should do for and interesting change of pace and would be fine, but Zena would take a lot of serious prep work. He would need much warmer clothes for a start and a good pair of thick hide boots.

“The land you hail form is daunting to say the least. It seems like every task requires its own tools to even attempt.” He took a moment to repeat some of the information he just heard to himself in his mind so he would be able to better memorize it. Checking the fish while doing this he found it was done enough to eat.

looks like grumpy butt at least ended one conversation cordially~

Myrsky cocked an eyebrow as he put his small book away; "Of course it does! The mountains are harsh and to act reckless or foolish is to court death! Does your jungle act any differently?"
While this land seemed easier to live in than his home, it was not something he would want to venture out in carelessly! Did the other tribes have easier lives and were foolish because of it?
I'll have to avoid those places, I do not want to get soft or foolish!

ah ha ha! good for him.

BarAmal was a bit sad to see all those images disappear. “No, though the idea to have to chip ice away to even attempt to fish is new to me. It’s the difference of things that strikes me the most.” He sat back to eat his fish while looking into the fire thinking it over. He didn’t really want to go to Zena anytime soon, but perhaps eventually he would head that way. It was fortunate to have met this prentice now so he could have time to learn a few other things and be prepared.
