Big blue eyes were still a little glassy, but no longer threatening a downpour of sad little colt tears, distress replaced by curiosity.
"Dark purple would be nice, but um- well it's actually pretty important why he deserves it. Can't be a good villain without a proper back-story. Heroes can kind of get away without one, but they're all better with one."

Shrill gave a big, over-dramatic sigh. "Look, he like spurned me or whatever. You know, turned me down. Nobody gets away with that. Also I just don't like him, so..." She gave the toy car a nudge, making it roll forward. "I usually play the hero with my sister. I save her from all kinds of things."

The plot thickens. Revenant could almost feel it, the thick sort of realization that she, the strong sister, has descended from the ranks of heroes to petty villainy. Oh Revenant couldn't have thought up a better story all on his own, the drama, the inner turmoil- but most importantly:
"I like you," it wasn't exactly elegantly put, the little colt pausing before to think over what he was going to say, "You seem kind of nice when you're not being scary." Usually that was because she was with Singsong, and she was very kind, something he'd learned from a parental-arranged playdate. "I guess it makes for a kinda okay backstory. I think Singsong would be sad if you got in trouble, though."

I like you. Well, that wasn't something she heard very often. "Whatever," Shrill X mumbled in response. "I get in trouble all the time anyway." And Sing did look a bit sad each and every time. She ruffled her on hair in a show of announced and then announced loudly, "I'm bored with this idea anyway. He can keep his stupid car. Let's go get ice cream or something." Luafien She's probably going to see him at their next family gathering and go, 'OH RIGHT I FORGOT WE WERE COUSINS BECAUSE YOU'RE SO BORING AND EASY TO MISS' and then demand he watch her jump off the roof or something.

The little colt perked right back up like a daisy through the snow, all traces of his previous emotional upset having vanished. Of course, it took a moment longer for him to shove his smile down to something more respectable, Revenant standing up and attempted to look like he hadn't literally just cried because a girl bullied him.
"That's good, ice cream is much better than villainy. Even though a cape would be pretty dramatic. We can get you one anyways." Perhaps even something from his personal collection, he did have a fondness for them. Probably something inherited from their grandpa. Ruriska I would not be surprised in the least.

"I definitely need a cape," she agreed. Spinning the toy car in the right direction, she then gave it a little bump that sent it rolling across the floor and back towards its owners desk. "Let's go see if Sing wants to come too. Oh, and you're buying. I hope you've got some money on you." That might wipe the smile away for a bit and stop her from feeling so nice about deciding to do something good.

"I've got my allowance with me," Revenant declared happily, dark green tails swishing from enjoyment at the idea of hanging out with his cousins. A gentleman like him would never let the ladies pay for themselves, not unless they insisted. He was more than happy to purchase the ice cream.
"I'm... well, I'm glad you decided not to take the toy, though. I wouldn't have told Miss Glory, honest, but it's the nice thing to do. And kind of a silly way to start a life of villainy. You should definitely rob the crown jewels or something better like that." Yes, that would make for a much better story.

"You've got some good ideas, kid," she declared with a big trouble-makers grin. Crown jewels, eh? Yeah, that'd sure make for a cool headline!
