Baruin felt the shift in air current and flinched, Nehelini didn't move so much as blinked in childish wonderment at the action. Tallulah was a really nice male. Nehelini reached out. His Uncle blinked and sucked in a quiet breath as Nehelini grasped a small part of the outstretched foreclaw. The child smiled gently before he pulled back. It was a simple act, but to his Uncle it spoke volumes. Nehelini was trusting of the newcomer, for what reason the male didn't know. All he saw was hope for his youngest nephew.

Baruin had felt his brother move and smiled. He turned his head towards the Merkora, "I think I wouldn't mind learning from you Tallulah, Nehelini...wanna join me?"

The child nodded braver with his brother around, "Yeah."

The small touch against his claw by Nehelini caused Tallulah to give momentary pause before he smiled, happy to see that the boy wasn't afraid of his gesture. That was good to see, he didn't much care for the idea that a little whelp might be afraid of him. He'd much rather they be friends, that way these ones wouldn't feel the desire to go Khehora hunting when they were older. Better that they were made to be friends instead.

Tallulah smile brightened, tail swishing underwater once more, when Baruin commented on how he wanted to learn as well. It would seem that despite seemingly having gotten the worst of the attack that the little whelps were subjected to that he was still alright with learning from Tallulah. It was something that pleased the Merkora like nothing else could at the moment. Sure, he would need to think on exactly how one went about teaching a blind child to swim but he was sure he could figure it out, maybe a lot of backfloating for him?

In a rather happy tone of voice the Merkora spoke up and said, "Of course, of course! Once I get back we will have to have some swimming lessons! It will be great fun!" He chirped, then turned to look toward Jaxirus, "You are invited as well, of course, even if you can already swim." No reason to make the man feel left out he thought to himself.

The elder was watching the two youths closely. He blinked then looked up at the Merkora, "That is quite all right dear Tallulah, I know how to swim. I was just waiting for them to want to know." The male crossed his arms as he watched his nephews.

Baruin smiled in the general direction he heard the Merkora speak. He nodded before replying, "I'll be a challenge for you, Tallulah. That you can bet on. So, I'll apologize in advance for any difficulties I give you." the male shifted Nehelini closer to him nuzzling the child's dark hair.

Nehelini looked up at Tallulah. The Merkora was kind looking in his facial expressions. He had been even kind in his actions and words. Nehelini blinked as a small thought entered his mind; 'Maybe...not all of the dragon kin were as cruel as that group.' he offered Tallulah a small smile. He hummed up at his brother. The elder male humming back. Nehelini looked back at Tallulah, "Tallulah. When your done with your important task, how can we find you?"

Tallulah gave a little chuckle when the older Dovaa told him that he was able to swim, finding it amusing. He hadn't meant to invite him to the swimming lessons so much as invite him to just swim with them. It was alright though he thought to himself before he turned back to the boys, giving a smile, "I am sure that I will be able to figure it out with enough time to think on it." He reassured Baruin, not wanting for him to worry that he was going to be difficult. He didn't want for him to apologize either, especially when it was one like him that had caused Baruin's difficulties in the first place. He was a sweet thing and it did bother him that there were Khehora out there that would attack a little baby like him. He was so tiny... it just seemed wrong to him.

He glanced to Nehelini next before his tail set to swishing, "Hm... good question. I only have a small area in which I travel but I can't say exactly how long my journey will take or when I will get back." He mused to himself, "Are the lot of you sticking around these parts long?" He asked. Maybe if he knew how long they would be around then perhaps he would know how to find them? If nothing else he could always ask Eyphah for help, he was able to fly after all and would be able to spot the Dovaa from the air which would make finding them a whole lot quicker and easier then if Tallulah were to do it on foot.

keep the Oasis in mind XD

Jaxirus spoke up then, "We are...my partner and I are merchants. We're trying to establish connections here. My partner is ahead of us and we should soon meet together in another week or so. We use the Oasis' as landmarkers. A favorite one has a rather nice waterfall." the male smiled.

Baruin rolled his eyes, "If this is the same Oasis you and Uncle Rhys met at, I don't want to hear it again..."

"I do!" Nehelini waved in excitement. The first meeting of his Uncles was always something the child loved to hear about.

"Later, Nehelini. I'll tell you it as your bedtime story."
the elder promised.

"Yay!" the child cheered giggling.

Baruin groaned.

"Ahhh, yes, merchants." Tallulah chirped, giving a smile. He had zero clue what that was... but he figured that he could always ask Eyphah about it later. At least the rest of the Dovaa said made a lot more sense to him, especially the part about using the various Oasis as landmarkers. Tallulah did that himself, needing to travel between them as he made his way places since water was so important to him in many ways. Not only was he Merkora but he was also Peisio, his need for water to be nearby was great. Giving a thoughtful sound he said, "Mmm, the waterfall one, I think I recall where that is." Not a place he went often but it was a nice place to go when one had the time.

It appeared as though the oasis with the waterfall also held sentimental meaning to the bigger Dovaa as well, it was where he'd met Rhys it would seem. Interesting, so despite it seeming empty at times there were still a lot of meetings to be had here in Eowyn. He supposed this particular meeting between himself and the Dovaa was proof positive of that. He ouldn't help but to give a little chuckle as the three of them went on about the story of how the two had met, something he would like to hear about, though maybe not today. He really need to be moving on soon.

Pushing up to his feet, shaking off some of the water, the Merkora said, "Once my trip is done I will be sure to check the Waterfall Oasis first for your group." He hoped that he would get lucky and find the Dovaa there on his first try but he wasn't sure if he would be that lucky but he supposed he'd see when the time came. Ducking his head under the water Tallulah caught hold of the handle of his woven kelp basket, picking it up, letting the water drain from it. As it did he turned to the others and said around the handle that was in his mouth, "I should get moving, I don't want to be late after all." He didn't think the one he was going to meet with would be pleased with him if he took too long to get to her. The sooner the better if you asked him.

Your post will wrap it up XD

Nehelini and Baruin got up to join their Uncle as the male started to walk away. The young dovaa looked back at Tallulah, honestly looking forward to their next metting. The large lizard-like male had a nice voice and Nehelini got the feeling he was had a good heart. So the child waved as his two elders walked on....

"Bye Tallulah! I hope to learn more from you next time!" the child called out before turning to run back to his uncle and elder brother's side.

Tallulah lifted up on his back legs, waving one of his forefeet in an imitation of Nehelini's waving, before he went back down on all fours again. He watched for a moment as the boy ran off, waiting until he was back with his family again, before he turned on his heel and headed off in another direction. That had been a rather nice diversion, one that allowed him to enjoy pleasant conversation while he soaked, but it was time for him to get going. As nice as it was to chat with the Dovaa he wanted to get to where he was going so that he could get this ritual underway. The sooner that he was Merkorian the better!
