Tau stopped rummaging through the kitchen long enough to shoot darts at Liira. "My manners are just fine. I did give you a towel, didn't I?" He paused and pointed to the towel she was still wearing over her head. "And I'm offering to feed you. I think I'm going above and beyond here for someone who doesn't like me."
He turned around and leaned his weight against the cabinet. She was pushy, but Tau could tell that he was growing on her. He grinned. He bet she knew how to cook. "As a matter of fact: I do not." He gave her a look that said 'maybe you should do it yourself'.

Liira raised an eyebrow at Tau. Was this guy even serious? She grimaced, but she already knew that that would be the answer to her question. What she wasn't really expecting was that he would catch on so fast and seem to be demanding that she be the one to cook.
She scoffed and pushed the chair back from the table, getting to her feet. "Well, my thoughts on your competence were obviously not too far from the mark." She snipped before she began to look through the cabinets herself. She wasn't too far into her search though when she heard - or rather didn't hear - the rain. She stood straight and look out of the window, grinning. "Well then. I guess it did stop soon. Looks like I can fend for myself then outside of this house." She propped a hand on her hip and gave a sideways glance at Tau. She was all too eager to be on her way and out of Tale.

Tau seemed to deflate when he heard the rain stop. He was just starting to charm Liira into liking him and now she was leaving. It seemed to be exactly like his luck though. Damn.
He turned his head to face Liira before smirking. "You sure you don't need the help of a skilled hunter and fighter by your side?" He moved slow, as if to brush her hair out of her face, but in a sharp move just yanked the towel off of her head. "Wouldn't want to take this with you now."
There would always be next time, right? He couldn't imagine this would be the last time he would see Liira. She would be begging for him after a while of his absence in her life.

Liira would have gagged if there was anything of substance in her stomach. She punched Tau in the arm after he had snatched the towel, knocking him back a few steps and away from her. "I think I'll manage." She said with disdain in her voice.
She closed the cabinets and walked to the entrance of the house. "Let's hope we don't have to do this again." The smirk she wore was laced with sarcasm as she left the house and let the door close behind her. Well, even though Liira really still didn't like the guy, he was definitely a form of entertainment. Though she could live without him, Tau wasn't the worst thing to happen to her so far.

He watched her go with a genuine smile on his face. She would be back. They always come back.
He turned to the towels he had in his hand and on the floor and frowned. His mother wasn't going to be too happy if he left these hanging around wet. He picked the other towel up from the floor and left out the back door, ready to hang them to dry now that the rain had stopped.
