Back out into the fray, he made his way through the crowd, back to collecting empty drinks when nearby, he could have sworn he'd heard the word "weapon" uttered from the mouth of one man who was stood talking to another. Slowly, he continued to listen, collecting more glasses as he worked his way towards them, pausing when he was close, head cocking just slightly to one side.
And there it was. That feeling that he was being watched, again. This time, Finn continued to gather drinks, and turned, barely glancing as he did so to see that the same man from before was still looking at him. <********>. Maybe there had been reason to worry, before. Ignoring the man, he continued to collect empties until his tray was full, back stiff as he hurried back to the kitchens again to drop them off.

He stayed in the kitchen area for a while now, trying to compose himself before he headed back out. He'd been noticed, yes, but did it really mean anything? He hadn't been that obviously eavesdropping on conversations, had he? And even if he was...so what? How could anybody possibly suspect that he was here for any reason other then to serve boisterous, rich assholes in a beautiful Manhattan penthouse? They couldn't. They wouldn't. He was just being paranoid. Shaking it off, Finn made his way back out once more. Where the man still was, still watching him. No, it didn't mean anything. There was still no reason to jump to any conclusions. He needed to just go about his work, act a little more convincingly until he was no longer being watched. Of course, in the back of his head he had to wonder if it was already to late for that.

The man touched his ear and spoke quietly to himself. Moments later, two other men bookended Finn, "We need you to come with us." One leaned forward slightly and a soft glow peeked through his dinner jacket. "Now."

God ******** damnit. To his credit, Finn's expression didn't change when the two men closed in on him from either side. Turning to smile at the one who spoke at him, catching a glimpse of something glowing in his jacket, he blinked once and then said. "Sorry boys, my evening job doesn't start until after the party ends. You'll just have to wait a bit longer to get your dicks sucked." He obviously didn't learn much from Caelius taking his eye. That he or just didn't care.

Both men grimaced and grabbed his arms. "We need you," the one repeated as they lifted him up by the elbows, "to come with us." If Finn didn't want to go, it looked like things would get violent.

Finn continued to smile like nothing was going on, even as they grabbed him and lifted him. "It doesn't really seem like I'm being given much of a choice here. All right, sweethearts, no need to get physical yet. Save it for when you get me somewhere more private." All the while, he told himself repeatedly not to look for Fini, not to make any eye contact with her at all. He didn't want to give her away as well, if there was any chance they didn't know already. "Lead the way, boys."

Finn was carried ungently toward a door with an electronic lock that had been left slightly ajar. Noticing it, one of them men cursed quietly and muttered something about it being broken again before hauling Finn inside and dumping him in a chair. The room was an elegant though fairly spartan office, and waiting within it was the drunk man who'd yelled at Fini earlier and one other, their face obscured by a hat and scarf. Drinking some milk, 'Mitty' smiled at him over the rim of the glass and then belched loudly. 'Dang that s**t really hits the spot, you know? Anyway, we noticed you skulking, which, tsk tsk, naughty-naughty. So who sent you here and what are you looking for?" The man's entire demeanor had changed from earlier, gregarious where he'd once been beligerant.

There was the brief moment where she tensed, knuckles turning white from the force she gripped the tray with, ready to use it as a weapon... and then some other man was pulling the intoxicated idiot away. Mumbling s**t about losing her job and whatever. Fini took the moment to compose herself, inhaling deeply, holding her breath, and then exhaling. The looks from the guests around her were met with apologetic ones of her own before she was moving about the tables, aiming to head towards the kitchen.
But she didn't make it far enough, her pace slowing as she picked a table at random and offered quietly to remove the dishes they were done with. s**t! Finn was being carted off by a couple men. Her expression remained forcibly cheerful as she studied where they were taking him.
Cursing under her breath, Fini took her half full tray to the kitchen to dump the contents. Great. The idiot wasn't supposed to get caught! Groaning, she glanced about, thinking on the fly. The tray was flipped up and she grabbed a pitcher of water, a few empty glasses, and a little assorted plate of sweet things. Letting that too cheerful mask slip into place, Fini ventured back out with a saunter to her step, slowly making her way in the direction of the door she'd seen Finn go through. Watching the crowd, she used a few people passing by as an excuse to press up against the wall. Near the door. It was her hope to get a peek inside and see what was going on before deciding her next plan of action.

Finn let himself be hauled and tossed around like he was nothing more then a bag of trash...which he supposed was all these assholes really thought of him anyways. Finding himself shoved quite roughly into a chair, he rolled his head back and forth on his neck as though stretching the muscles, before rolling his shoulders and sitting up straighter to lock his gaze on who he recognized as the ******** drunk that had been screaming in Fini's face earlier, though a passing glance was given to the other in the room, who's face the moon trainee couldn't quite make out. At the question, Finn gave the man his most pleasant smile, which with the cold look in his eye really wasn't very pleasant at all. "Your mom, and again, your mom. The little vixen's been hiding on me all night, and now you're cutting into the quality time I intended to share with her once she was found."

A large, meaty fist crashed into Finn's face in a manner that would have any normal human out of the chair and onto the floor, nursing a broken jaw. Instead it was Mitty who was curled over, gingerly touching their hand with a pained look and cursing. The rest of those in the room had drawn several knuckles, knives, and guns, all of them glowing with vivid yellow runes. There was a paused and then... "It's a one of them!" The leader yelled, face flushed and veins throbbing as spittle flew from his mouth. ...violence exploded. Quote: Targets: Mitty: 15HP : 3 Auto Damage every turn : Gun Guard A : 20 HP : 3 Auto Damage every turn : Knife and Knuckles Guard B : 25 HP : 3 Auto Damage every turn : Knife and Gun ???? : 60 HP : 8 Auto Damage if you attempt to catch them and fail : will leave within 3 rolls unless caught (roll 1 d20, 15 and above is capture, they will only stay caught for 5 rolls, after which they begin to escape again) Things to know: the first three are regular humans! If their HP drops below 0 they are dead! If their HP drops between 1-3, they are unconscious but alive!
