Had Luxor been working for the Negaverse, he was certain he'd be dead right now, so it wasn't that he wasn't grateful. Just his pride was too big to want to accept just how easily he was beaten down, in such a short amount of time. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but at least it was an ally that shoved the pill down his throat instead of the enemy... that made it just a little easier to swallow at least. Despite his wounded pride, he took the hand that was offered to him and pulled himself up, and he forced himself to stand to his full height, despite the pain in his gut. "Yeah, I'll live. It's nothing an ice pack can't fix, so I think I'll do the smart thing and call it quits for the night, if that's alright with you. I think I've learned enough."
He learned that this Luxor fellow was stiffer and as unbending as a mountain, and his punches hurt like hell. But still, a valuable lesson, considering the brutality that awaited him when fighting against the Negaverse. He hated losing, but at least it wasn't with his life.
"Thanks for the help. Once I heal up, I'll start lookin' into my defenses, since my offense ain't enough just yet."
The thought of pulling away and then coming back with a sucker punch came to mind, but he had a feeling that'd end in disaster, for him anyways. He learned his lesson... for now.
