Toki landed with the creature in his claws and smiled. "Oh, I do not think this area will be dangerous for long... But certainly we can move. If you don't mind me taking this with me... shame to leave food behind." He said as he smelled the creature. Partially fried it smelled delicious. They'd just have to put up with him eating.. he'd heard that the sight of a Khehora eating was something that.. disturbed some magescians. He should offer it to them... no sense in being rude.

"I can share if you haven't eaten yet."

It was a chore to not allow the smoldering fires in his cheeks to spill over as ashamed and humiliated tears as Tohru watched Ithric approach the old Kiandri khehora. He followed silently, arms coiled close around himself and gaze downcast. He'd wanted to help, but... as always, he simply excelled at making a miserable fool of himself.

"This is... actually quite amazing," the Peisio rumbled, extending a curious hand to touch the crisp-feathered flank of the bird that had just fallen before them. The alkarai above didn't seem much interested in meeting the same fate. Though they lingered overhead, they didn't move to attack. Pale, bony fingers met with seared heat, and Ithric's navy orbs lit up. "I haven't had many dealings with feral khehora magic, so it is a treat to see it up close." Even if he still wasn't entirely satisfied with how Toki had chosen to greet them. Still, it must just be the nature of a feral.

Shooting Toki a wayward grin, Ithric inclined his head politely. "It would be an honor to share your meal, if you really have no qualms doing so." Straightening, he extended a beckoning hand to catch the front of Tohru's shirt and coax him forward. "Best get out of the canyons, first."

"I suppose that's on me." Cadeo sighed. "Come, guests. You are welcome in my den for now, I suppose." With a swish of his tail, the Peisio khehora led them back toward the place he called home, out of the rocks and toward the beach, off to an alcove dug out and around the sand dunes.
