Otto nodded. He wasn't opposed to it being cleaned. Just that it wouldn't stay that way, and he knew it.
"Food..." His stomach growled. "I.. could eat.." Chips and candy bars were not a good source of nutrition.

Rin moved them around with intent to direct his attention to what she felt was a well-timed masterpiece. "VoilĂ ." She gestured at the sandwich with a flourish from her one arm.
"Let it be known that Rin Alder keeps her promises."

"Long overdue promises.." He mumbled, thought not ungrateful. Just how did a woman with one arm make a sandwich? Or do much of anything?
Maybe magic...
Otto sniffled, and sat himself down at the kitchen island's bar stool. "Looks... really good." He said, surprised. Of course it had chips in it, just like the weirdo sandwich she'd made him make once before. It even had a snack and a drink that wasn't alcohol.
He grabbed one of the halves, amused she'd cut off the rusts too. He took a big bite with a crunch.
Every meat, every spice and seasoning. It was a flavourful bite of heaven.
"Mm.." Otto seemed to melt on the spot.

Rin watched him and while he was distracted a loud crssht could be heard as she mysteriously opened the can of soda for him as well. By the time he'd respond, the can would already be sitting where it always was, opened.
"Good?" she asked distractedly. "I wasn't sure what you liked in a sandwich to be honest..." Any noises he made she took as a good sign.

Otto slowly chewed as he savoured the flavour, swallowing it down with satisfaction. "It's got meat, so it's good." It held a lot more substance than his recent 'meals' offered.
He took the opened can of soda and had a chug of that, the icy burning of carbonation soothing his throat. It was followed by another large bite of the sandwich. The process repeated itself. It was like he hadn't eaten in days.

Rin watched as Otto ate with a breath of relief. At least he wasn't giving up. That was good, but god damn. He was eating like a starved animal.
"Hey. Uh. You want to like - go do something or something?" Hopeful stare.
No Otto, she was not asking you out.

Otto looked up from his eating, already finishing off one half of the meal. "Do somethin'?" He asked, thankfully not with his mouthful. Going places and doing things.. that sounded like moving on to him. Did he deserve to move on? Should he let himself?
Otto squirmed a bit, worried about leaving his crumby, smelly sanctuary.
"Um... like what?"

Rin's eyes went wide and her head lowered at the question at hand. The island really did not have many options in the way of things to do to not think about the horrible that surrounded them. Swimming used to be an option, but... there also wasn't much in the way of dining. Most games were of the board variety and did not lure you from the protective bubble of your dorm room. She needed something that did that.
"We could... uh," c'mon Rin. Think. "Duel or," she looked at Otto. Her eyes pleaded for him to want something specific. "Go for a walk or," that was too boring and encouraged thinking too much. "Drink?..." s**t, was there even a place to meet people and get buzzed?
"Do... you have any leave?"

She was trying to get him away from his room. Was that what healthy minded people did? Leave the comfort of home for some fresh air? He didn't want to spar. Not to play. His drums and his skateboard sat idly collecting dust. He didn't want to be happy. He didn't want to have fun. He was just going to bring her down. Otto pushed the empty plate away, resting his head down on the counter top. "I got leave. I don't wanna use it." He mumbled unhappily. It wouldn't bring her back. He was convinced it wouldn't make him feel better. "Thanks for the food... sorry.." He didn't want to bring her down. He would bring all his friends down.

Rin approached and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Don't ******** apologize, it's kind of creepy coming from you." She gave his shoulder a squeeze, "like, I'm expecting you to end that sentence with something like 'for your face' and the fact you didn't makes me feel so wrong."
"I'm unclean now," she looked completely serious.

Aw.. that was a good insult.. 'Sorry for your face'... I gotta try that one day.Otto lifted his head, cloudy eyes sliding to find Rin. It looked as if he'd say something, but all that came was a depressed groan and the flopping of his forehead back on to the counter top. "Grab a rain check. I'll insult you next time." He drawled, muffled through the counter. Tenya urged him to go out if even for a short while. The stuffy air would likely drive him mad, she felt. "How about... a walk. I'll even wear clean clothes."

"I look forward to it," Rin said of the insult before turning to sit next to Otto at the bar with her back to the counter top.
"A walk sounds good," she encouraged. "While you're getting ready for that I can... uh. Fix that a bit," she pointed back at Otto's mess. It was still grating on her.

Otto turned his head to view the mess she spoke of. "Oh.... uh... don't... worry about it.." He wouldn't wish that on anyone. He was just glad Molly was off island and hadn't been around to see it. Or wherever she was.
The teen finally stood up, and wobbled to his bedroom to change.
It took some time and a lot of fumbling inside, but when otto emerged he looked.... well half way presentable. His clothes were wrinkled, his hat was on lopsided, but at least he wasn't wearing pyjamas.
"Okay I'm ready.." he mumbled halfheartedly.

Rin sulked just a little as her desire to clean up was rejected. But she respected his wish and left it alone until his triumphant scruffy return. She slid from her chair and moved to wait for him at the door. "Let's hope Melvin doesn't see. I suspect he'll try to iron your clothes with or without you in them."

Otto curled his lip a little, much like his former self might have done in response. "What a weirdo..." He grumbled of Melvin, skulking out the door into the hallway. Otto's pace was slow and sluggish. Not in a hurry to be anywhere. Especially not to travel far.
"He helped me fix my window once, though. He was a snot about it though." Otto mumbled passively, trying to fill the air with conversation that wasn't about Nevada.
