Why are you interested in joining the Jokoa` team and what drew you to the shop originally?:
I have been a patron of Jokoa` since 2007. When I was new, the shop was nothing but kind, friendly, and generous. The shop was and continues to be a welcoming place where I find myself comfortable and content with no shortage of pleasant company, even during its quiet periods. I have formed many friendships [both on Gaia and IRL] through this shop, and many of my favorite RP characters exist here. For me, this shop is a home, and it has been for a long time.
My interest to join the team stems from a desire to see this shop thrive once again. This shop could undoubtedly rise and become as active as it was. I would love to be a part of the team responsible for its future success and show both old and new patrons the love this shop has to offer.

Response: I would immediately send PMs to all parties involved in the argument instructing them to discontinue the debate, as it is causing great discomfort in the thread. There are places on Gaia for civil debate [not argumentative ones], but the shop is not that place. I would not take sides on the debate, just instruct both patrons to cease this discussion.
I would then contact the rest of Staff, informing them of the incident and ask whether or not disciplinary actions should be taken against the arguers, though, personally, since such controversial matters are touchy subjects and are likely to cause such arguments, I would not seek action on the first offense. I would, however, offer to draft a formal post to be posted by the shop mule to first apologize for the incident and state that the shop will never take sides on such issues, then remind everyone that such topics are to be kept out of the thread. They create too much tension best left outside, and further offenses will result in shop action.

Response: I would send the other staff member a PM, instant message, or text asking him or her to back off from the argument; just stop replying altogether. Similarly, I would PM the thread goer asking him to stop posting as well. I would look into what caused the issue and ask both the staff member and the thread goer what was going on, proceeding to resolve the situation with the thread goer as the other Staff member should have done; and, I would also work with the Staff member and attempt to calm him down, potentially working as a mediator between the two if the situation calls for it. Depending on how the issue came to be and the following actions, I would write an apology to the thread goer for the other Staff member's actions, and I would apologize to the Staff member for the thread goer. No one was right to start such a heated argument, and I would do my level best to calm both parties.
I would contact other Staff members informing them of what happened, but I would not seek action against either the shop goer or Staff Member.

In response to both prompts, it is worth mention that I am not out for blood, so first offenses can be forgiven. If such offenses are occurring more often than not, then broaching the discussion for action against the offenders may be necessary.

Do you have any previous experience in the B/C? If so, where?: Extensively XD I don't even remember all the shops I've colored at anymore, and most of them are long since dead. Years ago I worked here at Jokoa' for a few months, actually; I wasn't rehired though after the full-staff-dump. My coloring wasn't up to snuff at the time, I guess. I currently run Tolan Fields. Other than Jokoa', past shops I have worked at include Island of the Torai, Tamaki Jungle, Phaegon Flame, Ufplatik Isle, On Wings of Myths (briefly, between a revival and it dying again...), Ferraelian Myths...and more that I can't remember atm.

Round Two!
Starts: Now!
Ends: May 22nd, at 10PM PST. PMs were sent out, applications were reviewed, and there has finally been a listing made up. Thank you to EVERYONE who applied, I was so happy to see so many great applications and familiar faces looking to bring this shop back to life. For those who did not make it to round two, I'm going to be sending out some PMs over the next week or so to see if you wanted to have your work in a little guest flat and raffle. Some things may need a little tweeking, line coloring, etc, so be prepared if you'd like to see that happen. smile For round two, I've given everyone continuing on two ulaya. Each participant should do at least 2 offspring for a "mock breeding". You are welcome to do a third offspring, if desired.
If you applied for color only and got a pair with edits, I don't expect to see edits, just use the colors!
Use your best judgement when playing around... maybe even go somewhere and do some fake rolling to see what colors, markings, and traits get passed on! Make it fun!
If you finish with the couple you colored, you are allowed to choose two ulaya from others people got and do another mock breeding. The only rule with this would be that you cannot use a ulaya you colored in round 1 as a parent.
If you did not in round 1, please color lineart appropriately! (I forgot to put that in the rules, so some did and some did not.)
Lastly, I want to hire as many of you as possible! If you want advice on how something is going or need a little direction please please please send me a PM or catch me in thread. I would love to help you out! I also know these male templates are a little hard to work with in regards to positioning. Good luck to everyone!
