Moombas live in sheltered communities kept distant from most human civilization. Originally found in a prison, these intelligent creatures managed an escape and retreated to a vast forest where few travel, living their lives in peace and comfort. Just a select few humans have chanced upon them and only a number of those are welcomed to the villages to travel in and out as they please. It takes time and effort for the Moombas to trust humans but once they do it's a bond nobody could ever forget.

Moombas were once found in a prison by Squall and his team mates, helping them escape torture they soon made it home and talked among themselves. A short time after he got the idea to visit the Moombas where reports of sightings and stories of wild ones had been. Days of walking and miles of immense heat brought him to a forest garnished with greens and wild animals, Squall found a small village with a bonfire burning in the center of the buildings. He was soon greeted with an elder looking Moomba and welcomed into the village, invited for his thanks on helping the escape of his ancestors.

The Moomba village was full of playful children and adults tending to the buildings and keeping the forest area clean. The sight of such an animal being at the intelligence of a normal human was amazing to Squall, who had seen a lot of things in his travels. Slumbering and living out days in the village he learned a lot about the Moombas and their life style and decided to return home and bring back his old team so the Moombas would slowly get used to human contact again.

Time had passed and Squall and his team had resided at the village for almost a year before they decided to spread the word of the real Moombas, hoping to relinquish the old reputation they had back at the prison. Creatures with such skills and talents mustn't be treated like slum and should always be respected and this they wanted to tell everyone of the lands. Slowly people became accustomed to the Moombas living around them but still very few got the chance to meet on themselves. Are you one of the lucky to call upon these creatures to lead you to a village hidden away from all eyes?

The young Moombas are more apt to wander up to a human being. Being their young age they don't remember any pain caused to the Moomba ancestors as his parents would. Mischievous and playful as any normal child would be, they constantly get into trouble and cause their parent's and their Summoner a lot of grief. This is the stage after the Summoning Tomb, without one it may take a longer time to mature into an adult.

These Moombas tend to be more protective and cautious when it comes to humans being around them or their village. They will defend with their life and show it well. The males are the ones that do the hunting and fighting where as the females will stay at home and tend to the village and children. Asserting dominance is something they will all do but they will always bow down to the Alpha male, unless they intend to challenge them.

The young female Moomba are more shy then the males. Often keeping back and letting someone else explore they tend to watch from afar. But not every leaf falls close to the tree, every so often there will be a female Moomba with a wild side. The younger females will follow the mother around a lot when there is not Summoner present to learn the how to's of the village and it's many rules that follow her life once she grows up.

The average female Moomba will stay in the village with which they were born in. Taking care of the younger Moombas and feeding the males as needed they are very maternal and like to stay in one place for most if not all of their lives. Summoners help the females to be more curious and confident when it comes to exploring and wandering outside of the protected village boundaries. Some will often go on long travels with their bonded Summoner, much like the males. Without a Summoner in their lives their future may seem really boring.

On the word "GO" you post that you're interested in joining the flaffle as well as a list of the pets you want in the order from most to least. Once the "STOP" is announced all entrees posted afterwards will be disregarded and will not count towards the flaffle. A list of entrants will be made and randomly chosen from to select a pet. I will automatically take the top pet on their said wanted list. If the first has already been claimed then I will move to the second and so on. If your list is not present then you have 30 minutes to claim one that you would like. If after the 30 minutes is up and you have not claimed a pet, your name will be placed at the bottom of the list and the next winner will choose theirs. This will repeat until all pets are claimed for. You may claim an entree for another person but it must be in a separate post. Trades are to be sent to Spirited Slumber

Intro to RP
Along with the normal role playing information needed to properly understand the Moomba world, here you'll find the skills and battle information needed to succeed and raise rank. Until the battle system has been worked out all of the information will be as basic as possible, so if I make any changes they won't be too big. Please take a look and read over all of the information here. It'll help you out in the long run.

The skills are special tricks Moombas learn when they're at a young stage. Usually picked up from other Moombas they ten to inherit their parent's skills but will often teach themselves something new. A Moomba can only learn one skill and use it to their own needs. All skills can be used for offensive and defensive if controlled properly. Spirited Slumber noticed many different types of skills being mastered and had decided to place them into categories, usually formulated from elements and brain power. In the organizing of these he came upon skills much too dangerous and powerful for anyone to control and made it so not just anyone was aloud to learn them. Fearing that one day a Moomba would use them for the wrong reasons he kept most of them secret for many years, only informing the other elders of these wondrous powers. Leaving the skills only controlled by the most trusted and handling of the Moomba nation, the elders.


  • Divine
    These are the skills only an elder may learn and anyone under this stage may not even bear knowledge upon these skills until given the proper training and understatement by Spirited Slumber himself. Once reaching the elder status a Moomba will be approached by Spirited Slumber and confronted about these special skills but only if he feels that the Moomba is worthy enough to take on this task of responsibility.
    Create Weather:
    This is a spell that only the gods above had controlled before one Moomba had learned it, years ago. It is said that the Moomba possessed the power to make tornadoes, blizzards and even tsunamis with this awesome skill. Afraid of it's strength nobody had learned it since, keeping it's true legend just that ... a story.
    Aurora Borealis:
    This is a magnificent skill, bestowed to Spirited Slumber when he was a young child. Giving him power to control all elements at his own will this is obviously a skill not to be learned by all. Spirit rarely uses his knowledge to keep it truly hidden from unwanted eyes, but he is still willing to unleash it's glow if needed.
    Polymorph:
    A skill that lets the knowledge Moomba change form in a timely manor. Shape shifting has always been a thing of the past, in text books of the medieval times but the thought of knowing it's trick is a blessing to anyone. It has it's limits, as does all of the skills, but they have yet to be discovered.

  • Fire
    The element of fire had been played around with for millions of years, using it as a tool for one's own uses. Moombas have adapted to new and useful ways to use and control this element while letting it flow with it's own space. Always a useful and powerful element, causing pain and relaxation when used properly. It takes a long time to master complete control over it but all hard work pays off in the end.
    Flame Field:
    Using a burst of flames a Moomba may throw a blast of energy at an intruder or shape it to block an attack. Chanting is always required but not needed to be heard. The flames have only been seen to last a few minutes before fading out and being no more. Use the time it stays wisely for it may be your last.
    Flame Strike:
    Centering the flames onto your own natural weapons, usually your claws, you blast a heated flame at your enemy with every attack. This is also a good skill for creating small camp fires and controlling the flames for your own entertainment needs. Keep a close eye on how you fling the fire though, for it may strike the hand that helps it.
    Heat Wave:
    Usually done for a defensive move it's also effective on chilly mornings and damp caves. Using this skill causes the air around you in a small radius to heat up and cause an extreme comfortable area to anyone around you. It is, of course, controllable with the proper training a Moomba may be able to tell it what temperature to strike, keeping a comfortable atmosphere.
    Combust:
    Causing an object nearby to suddenly burst into flames it can be taken as a decoy or injure an enemy holding an item. Not everything can combust and it's unknown how many objects this skill can be used on before weakening, no Moomba has ever tried to use it to such an extent.

  • Water
    The ever flowing, ever changing waters has always proven difficult to tame and use for your own needs. Humans direct it in a manor that they feel fit for themselves but flooding and damage always gets back at them eventually, proving it to be a versatile element. Moombas fail to control this mystical liquid but choose to harness it without aggression, letting it do as it wants. Always nearby, life would not be without the reflecting water of this world, keeping it around may save your life.
    Breath of Water:
    This skill can only be used for a small amount of time. It allows the designated Moomba to temporarily breath under the surface of a lake or ocean, giving them the will to flee or find shelter under the harshest endurance of weather. The limit hadn't been breached yet but it has been recoded that after 24 hours the breathing becomes too difficult for one to withstand and all Moombas retreat from their watery threshold letting the actual limit continue to loom unknown.
    Mist:
    Taking the humidity or even evaporation in the air around you a Moomba can cause a hazy mist to develop the area. Making the thickness of this fog according to the amount of moisture in the air a Moomba can make a stealthy retreat or sneak up on an attacker without being noticed. This is a useful skill that most Moombas use to keep their own village hidden from unwanted eyes, though it must be casted often it's a wonder why all Moombas wouldn't want to learn this skill.
    Aqua Wind:
    It still isn't clear whether this skill controls the air around you or the water itself but one thing is for sure, when rain hits you at high speeds it really hurts. This skill makes a shift in direction and speed of the wind making water spray the opponent, leaving them vision impaired and unable to see what they're doing. Water in the eyes hurts badly and can distract anyone that thinks they're sly enough to escape the watery element. There are many other uses for this skill but of them all this is the most effective technique.
    Flash Flood:
    Making rainfall beat down from the sky a quick flood forms and with it's powerful currents it can pull anyone away. The flooding on average reaching 3-4 feet in height this skill can be used when little water is near and the sky's sunlight won't let up. It takes a lot of practice to keep this skill from flooding out your own home and training in an open field a long hike away is recommended. It's possible to keep the flooding to a small trickle but only extremely talented and mature Moombas have managed this.

  • Earth
    The powerful earth must never be taken for granted, it's the very land that you stand, live and thrive on and it's many terrains captivate all every day. The earth has been said to follow a special goddess, many still can recall her today. Moombas have spoken with her for many many years and through understatement and agreement they have found a way to harness this land's energy without taking to extremes. Allow Mother Earth to continue being proud of her land, plants and animals as you use her energy for she may help you out more then you know.
    Vines:
    This is a skill that calls upon the plants themselves to aide you in your time of need. Reaching out they can wrap around an enemy or object keeping them from moving or just propping them upright for you. Vines have been known to have the strength to tear apart brick buildings and with this skill you may be able to reach that level as well.
    Tremor:
    Or better known as earthquake, this skill is used for many things beyond the mere shaking of the grounds before you. The shifting of the world and constant movement of land has made mountains and caverns. Volcanoes and lakes as well as scared the hearts of many creatures living on the earth's soil. The use of this skill is to be regarded as close to Divine and took a long time to classify, don't let Spirit down by using it wrongly for he'll have to defend the lands against you. Tremor has many limitations, only an elder can shake a continent but even a young Moomba can cause damage, use this skill at your own discretion.
    Sand Pit:
    Or more known as quick sand, this skill makes the ground soft and liquid. Quick sand is hard to spot if you don't know what you're looking for and nobody in their right minds would bother searching in a vibrant forest. This skill cannot kill but it is wonderful for trapping and capturing someone or something as you want. The thickness and how deep the sand pit is depends on the land you're using as well as how you want it to be.
    Wall of Thorns:
    Causing a thick, painful block of thorny branches this is the ideal skill for defense. The thorns are not always used for blocking for the wall may wrap around an area at a time but cutting and injuring the enemy has it's own limits. Mother Nature frown upon damaging one of her own creatures one should never take this lightly.

  • Lightning
    From the sky to the ground this is a painful and powerful force that is the most difficult of them all to handle and withstand. Moombas spend days in a month trying to get the lightning to strike where it wants and still can't seem to get it to work. Deciding to look beyond the box one solemn Moomba noticed that when you rub your feet on a carpet and touch someone it causes a painful shock. Upon thinking of this he realized it was just a smaller and more containable source of lightning, not as powerful and still useful for many things. Making this such it is now a masterful skill used by Moombas today.
    Thunder Clap:
    So the one thing that moves hand and hand with lightning is thunder, right? This skill uses the powerful blast of sound and energy in it's own way. With the clap of a Moomba's paws or the stomp of a foot this skill can send a wave of energy towards another rendering them deaf for a long time. Startling others and making an escape is the usual use for this skill but stunning is also high up there.
    Night Sight:
    Moombas can't see though the dark so one intelligent Moomba had to study under the moonless sky before getting too far. Focusing his lightning energy on his vision he made himself capable to see in the dark, letting him pass the test the village elder asked him to do. This skill became well known and is now welcome to anyone who has the time and effort to learn it. Everyone knows how wonderful it would be to see in the dark.
    Lightning Reflexes:
    As quick as a cat, as stealthy as a fox, lightning reflexes beat them all! How fast is lightning? Nobody knows because it can't be measured, or can it? I guess I'll have to look that up sometime ... Lightning reflexes is a skill that has it's own perks but at the same time it has the effect that a cheetah does when it runs. This skill causes the Moomba using it to get more and more tired as they go, making this skill used only when needed. I guess if a Moomba had used it so much that they worked a way to get around the energy loss it would be a magnificent skill worth learning.
    Static Shock:
    Well, here it is. The skill you all came to this section to learn. I mean, if you could cause an electric current to pass through your fingertips then why would you care about seeing in the dark? Well this skill isn't all flowers and cookies, it's a painful skill that must be mastered with precision and focus. If anything done with this skill goes wrong then dire consequences can be set back at the user. Keep this in mind when trying to fry the lake to catch a fish.

  • Mental
    This is a skill that only the most intelligent and thoughtful Moombas can handle. These skills couldn't be placed in another category because they're just too weird and rare to come across that they needed their own section. Not obtaining either an element nor a physical skill this group has been dubbed one of a kind.
    Telepathy:
    Using the very brain power you were born with you have ability to talk with others in their own minds. This does not mean they can speak back, only those with the talent and skill can reply with their mind's energy. This skill can be helpful for planning an attack or defending territory where spoken words must not be heard. Some Moombas a while back had used this skill to play pranks on others, long before the knowledge of telepathy had become more wide spread. Taking these tricks and pranks into heed another more mature Moomba had used the same technique for foolery and confusion, causing an intruding Moomba to flee.
    Telekinesis:
    Floating objects to you without having to move a muscle is every one's dream. Those lazy bums sitting at their computers would enjoy a skill such as this to reach that soda can sitting across the room or to turn off the lights. Well Moombas laugh at their misfortune of not having the talent to harness this skill. Few Moombas can but the ones that were born with it will always enjoy what they have, being a one of a kind child.
    Spirit Speak:
    It has been thought for many years that speaking to your ancestors has helped bring greater fortune and prosperity to a family and village. Moombas agree with this and pray to their long lost but never forgotten often. Some Moombas have the ability to center their focus on a single soul that has passed on for assistance or just to answer anything they feel needing to know. This is a skill that all Moombas would greatly appreciate for the spirits are more then just the walking dead, they can help in many ways. It's up to you to figure out what the spirits would love to aide you with.
    Feather Fall:
    Allowing one to fall with grace, this skill is amazing and defies gravity itself. Nobody is sure if it's another form of telekinesis or just the shift of wind but it causes the skilled Moomba to slowly land rather then fall with a painful ending. This would make all of those falling off cliff dreams more pleasant now wouldn't it?

All Moombas must start at a village already listed unless they wish to be a wandering Moomba. You may leave a village to join another bur only after telling staff so it can be changed on the cert. To create a village of your own a concept idea and area description must be ran by DE before announcing to other thread members. The original creator will automatically become dominant leader but can loose rank if challenged by another Moomba. This does not allow god modding of any sort! A battle must be done civilly or be turned down by staff, leaving the original dominant continuing leader.

This will usually be done through RP. When the battle system has begun it will become the only way to challenge. Until then please refrain from challenging another leader. Village elders can never be challenged and is ranked when a Moomba retains dominant for a certain amount of time. Once elder the Moomba can no longer change villages and is now RP required to keep the elder title. Only the most RPed and active members will get an elder this way. Other manors of obtaining an elder will be possible but this is the easiest and most possible manor of getting one.

Tsutaki Village: Surrounded by lush forest and ancient monuments the pack is at the most gifted part of land anyone could ever ask for. A slow flowing stream and swift waterfall on the outskirts of the claimed land this is a wonderful place for a Moomba to grow up in. Run by the well known and always loved Spirited Slumber, this pack is protected and relaxes under his watchful care. All Moombas start as a member of this pack for it is the first one to be formed in thousands of years, the founders are the original Moombas to escape humankind's cruelty and hide on their own. Thriving off the land's gifts and plentiful nutrients they founded the pack to regain population and spread the Moomba community through out the world once again.

The breeding of Moombas is a limited and sacred ritual that only two Moombas that have been together and know one another may breed. A limit to RPing is required, at least 5 pages, before you may request to breed. A female may enter a breeding form without giving any chosen male but the sire will be completely random and the markings and color will turn out unknown. Breedings will be handled like a raffle, randomly choosing the breeding pairs that will win. You may only enter one of your Moombas into a breeding session unless breeding two of your own together. This feature will not be available until the shop has grown and more active members become a usual sight.

The price of breeding varies being 10k per parent and 5k per pup. The litter will be handed out on the parent's wish and NO PUPS will be used for sale or pet trades to another shop. RP contests, gifts and raffles are permitted, trades being sent to the shop mule and the total will be split up evenly between the two parents.

Moombas may choose to breed without the RP requirement but the chances of a large litter will be more rare. I do this because I would preffer to have the RP done between the two but have decided to make this exception because in the reality of most things, and seeing from many other shops, people enjoy to just breed. If there is no RP between the two Moombas then the breeding will less likley be accepted unless entered into a normal breeding raffle.
