Kwatoko dodged to one side, letting the beam slam harmlessly into a pile of garbage. Then he dashed forward to continue his assault.

The dusknoir was slashed by the claws yet again, and he bowed. "Thank you for the battle. It was good practice." Darkness fell over the street before lifting to reveal Mephistopheles back at Lenore's side. The girl looked up from the book she had started to read. "Done already?" The dusknoir nodded. "Yes. Let's go." The girl got to her feet, waved to their opponents, and turned to leave.

Kwatoko was a little surprised by Mephisto's sudden disappearance. He hadn't thought he'd quite taken out the larger pokemon yet, especially since he offered a farewell. Perhaps he'd withdrawn? With a small shrug, he turned to head back to Anise.
